"That's good news, isn't it?"

The lawyer shook his head, "You have said that for the third ti, and it's hard for to believe it anymore. Question my client now, or release her imdiately, our ti is extrely valuable."

"Thud, thud." The door sounded, and the door to the lounge opened as Luke and Black walked in.

The deputy team laughed and patted Luke on the shoulder, "I've had enough of these two guys, take good care of them for ."

"I will."

The man in the suit said, "I am Boris's lawyer, Port Kerman. How may I address you two detectives?"

Black introduced, "I am Detective Marcus, and this is Detective Chief Luke.

Boris whispered a few words in the ear of his lawyer.

Lawyer Port said, "You two have arrested my client and left him aside without questioning him for nearly three hours now. I am very dissatisfied with this and will complain to your superiors."

Susan?

Reid?

Luke didn't care.

"Sorry for the long wait, we have been verifying so things and had a good talk with Ms. Ikaline. She admits to knowing Mr. Boris... this might be a beautiful misunderstanding."

"This is not beautiful at all for my client, you randomly arrest people without proper investigation, and I will sue you on behalf of my client."

Black defended, "It's not entirely our fault. When we first t Ms. Ikaline, she said she lived alone. Shortly after Ms. Ikaline left, this guy sneaked out suspiciously.

We thought he was a thief, and it was normal to bring him into the police station."

The lawyer laughed, "The famous Robbery and Murder Departnt is now catching petty thieves, when did you beco so heartwarming."

"Thanks for the complint, Marcus and I have always been warm-hearted," Luke replied with a smile.

"Boris, we should go." The lawyer stood up and said to Luke, "Your excuses are completely pathetic, and if my client needs it, I will still sue you."

Black sneered, "Right, you are all a bunch of bloodsuckers."

"Hey, don't say that, when you need my help one day, you'll know I'm the most adorable person, and I'm the only one you can rely on." Lawyer Port left those words, preparing to leave with Boris.

Black blocked Boris's way.

Lawyer Port was sowhat dissatisfied, "What are you trying to do? Assaulting my client in front of , I swear I will sue you until you go bankrupt."

Luke said, "Lawyer Port, you may go, but Boris cannot."

"Why? Since he knows the hoowner and is not a thief, why do you continue to detain him? Give a valid reason."

"We are investigating a homicide case, you must have heard about it, the case where the actress 'Courtney' was murdered in her own ho. I wonder if Mr. Boris has told you about his relationship with the deceased."

Port glanced at Boris, "No matter what their relationship is, that's not a reason for you to detain him."

Luke showed the arrest warrant, "Boris is Courtney's ex-boyfriend and through our investigation, he is a pri suspect, this is his arrest warrant."

Lawyer Port looked at the arrest docunt, threw it on the table, "Your police just like to play these tricks, detaining for theft is just a pretext, this is your true intention, despicable."

Luke said, "Lawyer Port, when speaking, one must rely on evidence; if I hear similar defamation again, I might also consider suing you. I am not bluffing."

Boris whispered to Lawyer Port, "What do we do now?"

Lawyer Port answered, "They have obtained a formal arrest warrant, you can only choose to be questioned."

Luke smiled, "Do you want to talk here, or shall we change places? Interrogation room two, three, and four are all empty right now, you can pick any."

Lawyer Port sat down with a thud, "Don't waste ti, this place is fine."

Luke turned on the recorder, "Boris, I recall we had a conversation on May 3rd, do you rember what we talked about?"

"No, I can't rember."

"No problem, I will try to help you recall." Luke flipped open his notebook, "I asked you when was the last ti you saw Courtney?

"You said it was half a month ago when you visited her on set in Los Angeles."

"I also asked you when you found out about Courtney's death; you said you couldn't get in touch with her, were worried sothing had happened to her, you took the flight back on the morning of May 3, and learned about her being murdered from a neighbor in the York community, is that correct?"

Looking at his lawyer, Boris said, "It seems like that."

"If you can't answer accurately, we can have a look at the original enforcent recording video."

Boris sighed, "Yes, that's what I said."

Luke pressed on, "Do you need to change your statent now?"

Boris looked at his lawyer again.

Realizing the seriousness of the issue, Lawyer Port proposed, "You've changed the reason for interrogation, I need to talk to my client, please leave."

The questioning was suspended, and Luke and his colleague temporarily left.

Lawyer Port sighed lightly, "Boris, if you want to help you better, you'd better tell exactly what happened?"

Half an hour later, Luke and his colleague re-entered the lounge.

"How did the talk go? Do you want to plead guilty?"

Lawyer Port said, "My client is innocent, you have made a mistake. If you want to prove my client guilty, then bring out the evidence."
