8 PM.

Beverly Hills, Kaiya Aiheti's residence.

A black SUV stopped outside Kaiya Aiheti's house.

Luke and Jackson got out of the car. The sky had already darkened, and the street lamps on both sides of the road were lit.

A patrol car drove by at a distant intersection, suggesting the area was relatively safe.

Jackson walked to the gate and pressed the doorbell.

After a mont, a white man in a suit and earpiece erged from the shadows of the yard. He cautiously sized up Luke and Jackson and asked, "What do you want?"

Jackson showed his badge, "LAPD. Is this Kaiya Aiheti's ho?"

"Yes, it is."

"We would like to speak with her."

"Sorry, Ms. Aiheti didn't ntion having visitors today.

Do you have an appointnt?"

Jackson replied, "I'm investigating the robbery case involving Rebecca Mozer and want to ask her so questions. It won't take long."

"Please wait a mont," the white man said, then returned inside.

After a while, he ca back and opened the gate, "Co in, Ms. Aiheti agreed to see you."

The white man led Jackson and Luke into the yard.

Jackson asked, "Are you the bodyguard?"

"Yes."

"When did Ms. Aiheti hire you?"

"Today."

The bodyguard led them to the door, where a middle-aged woman who seed to be a housekeeper asked Luke and Jackson to change into slippers before leading them into the living room.

A white woman in a blue dress stood up from the sofa, "Officers, what can I do for you?"

Jackson showed his badge again, "Ms. Aiheti, hello.

I'm Detective Jackson Beach from the Robbery and Murder Departnt, and this is Captain Lee.

We're investigating the robbery involving Rebecca Mozer."

Kaiya Aiheti smiled, "You don't think I'm the robber, do you?"

Luke said, "Ms. Aiheti, we don't an that. We just want to ask you a few questions."

"Have a seat," Kaiya Aiheti gestured, "But I'm not well-acquainted with Rebecca Mozer, so I might not be able to help."

Luke asked, "Ms. Aiheti, I heard there was a party a few days ago hosted by Rebecca Mozer, and you attended?"

"Yes, there's a new TV series called 'California Girls' casting roles, and she got one of the roles, so she threw a celebration party.

To be honest, I was surprised she invited ."

Luke continued, "I heard you were both contenders for the sa role in that series?"

Kaiya Aihe looked at Luke intensely, "Yes.

However, I later got a more fitting role in a movie, so I gave up the 'California Girls' role.

That's how Rebecca Mozer got it."

"But according to Rebecca Mozer, she won the role on rit."

"rit?" Kaiya Aiheti laughed, "What rit? That she's older than ?

If I wanted that role, it wouldn't be up to her.

Though it sounds harsh, she's past her pri, and the entertainnt industry is that harsh."

Kaiya Aiheti thought for a mont and chuckled, "No wonder she was speaking so strangely at the party, even coming over to comfort .

But it's understandable; the director probably didn't tell her the truth."

Luke kept watching her without seeing signs of lying and asked, "You're in the entertainnt industry, so you probably know more about Rebecca Mozer than we do.

Does she have enemies?

Or did she offend soone?"

Kaiya Aiheti pursed her lips and hesitated, "I'm not really a gossip."

Luke said, "We'll keep this confidential. No one else will know."

"I heard Rebecca Mozer is very close to a producer, possibly having an affair.

If it weren't for that relationship, she might not have gotten the 'California Girls' role."

"How is that related to her being robbed?"

"This producer is married, and his wife is not one to be trifled with. A few years ago, at a party, she hit a female guest just for having dinner with her husband.

Of course, this is just hearsay and might not be related."

"Do you know who the producer is?"

"I didn't inquire," Kaiya Aiheti shrugged, "Why don't you ask her?"

"We will, but we hope you can give us a heads-up."

Kaiya Aiheti glanced around and whispered, "Bradley Lindeman.

Outside this living room, I wouldn't admit it."

...

The next morning.

In a black Challenger, Marcus was driving and glanced at the deputy in the passenger seat, asking, "Deputy, the fan we tracked down is likely the one who robbed Rebecca Mozer. Are you sure just the two of us is enough?"

The deputy glared at him, "You think I can't handle a gun anymore?"

"That's not what I ant, I just think..."

The deputy interrupted him, "I don't need you to think, just drive, got it?"

"OK, you're the boss."

The deputy turned his head to the other side, muttering, "The silent Marcus is the cutest."

Marcus made a funny face.

The car drove into the Cotter community.

Marcus slowed down and checked the house numbers on the side of the road. After driving a few more hundred ters, they stopped in front of a gray two-story villa.

The deputy looked towards the villa on the right, "This is it."

Then Marcus and the deputy got out of the car and looked at the yard on the right.

The yard was small, only about twenty to thirty square ters, with a well-manicured lawn and surrounded by a white fence.

At that mont, a white man was in the yard playing with a kitten.

The cat has a slender body, pointed ears, small round paws, and shiny silver-blue fur, very beautiful.

The deputy and Little Black exchanged a glance, both feeling slightly more cautious.

The white man noticed Little Black and the deputy too, stood up and asked, "Is there anything you need?"

Little Black asked, "Sir, this cat is very beautiful, is it yours?"

"Um, it's my friend's cat. She's a bit occupied right now, so she asked to take care of it for her."

"May I ask what your friend's na is?"

The white man frowned and questioned, "Who are you exactly?"

Little Black showed his badge, "LAPD!"

The white man shrugged and gave a helpless smile, pointing at the cat on the ground, "So, you're here for it."

The deputy pushed open the gate and walked in, "To be precise, we're here for you."

"What do you need for?"

"What's your na?"

"Johnny Harlin."

"Do you know Rebecca Mosel?"

"Yes, she's a great actress, and my idol.

I heard she was robbed, how is she now? Is she hurt?

I care about her very much and want to know everything about her."

The deputy didn't reply directly, instead asked, "Have you ever written her a letter?"

"Yes, I've written her a lot of letters, I've told you, I'm her fanatic fan, I adore her."

"Have you seen her recently?"

"No, I've been quite busy lately, haven't seen her for a while."

The deputy pointed at the cat on the ground, "What about it?"

Johnny Harlin picked up the cat from the ground, "I know what you want to say.

This cat is indeed Rebecca's.

I saw the news of her being robbed and was worried about her, so I went to her house.

But when I arrived, she had already been taken to the hospital by ambulance, I didn't see her.

There were many police officers, reporters, and tourists at the scene, and I didn't know what I could do.

Until I saw it.

I often go to Rebecca's house to deliver letters, I know it.

It should know too.

Rebecca's house was crowded with many strangers, I thought it must have been scared, so I brought it ho.

I had no intention of stealing it; I only knew that Rebecca was injured and would not have the energy to care for it.

Once Rebecca returns ho, I will take it back."

The deputy stared at him and asked, "Where were you from midnight to 4 AM yesterday?"

"I was sleeping at ho, where else would I be at that hour?"

"Can anyone vouch for you?"

"Of course, my mom and dad can, I live with them." Johnny Harlin finished speaking, seemingly realizing sothing, "Wait, you're not suspecting I robbed Rebecca, are you?

My God, I admit I love Rebecca, I'm obsessed with her.

But that's the love of a fan for their idol.

I would never harm her.

I swear, I have nothing to do with the robbery."

The deputy continued asking, "Do you know Rebecca Mosel well?"

"Yes, I've always truly liked her, always followed her, I admit I wrote so rather explicit letters, but...

It's just a longing, a student's fantasy for a sexy, mature female teacher.

But that's all, it doesn't an I would do anything.

I think you should understand what I an."

In the deputy's view, Johnny Harlin is Rebecca Mosel's extre fan, always following her, very likely knowing things unknown to them.

"According to our investigation, the robbery of Rebecca Mosel may have been committed by soone familiar, do you have any suspects?"

Johnny Harlin was silent for a mont, "Before I answer your question, I'd like to ask about Rebecca's condition first.

Is she okay now? Are her injuries serious?"

Little Black replied, "Her injuries are not too serious, she's already been treated at the hospital, just a bit shocked, needs so ti to rest."

"That's good." Johnny Harlin breathed a sigh of relief, thought for a mont, and said, "I have two suspects."

Little Black and the deputy exchanged a surprised look.

"Let's hear it."

"The first is Bradley Lindeman, he's a producer.

I heard he has been harassing Rebecca."

The deputy wrote down the na, grimaced, and asked, "Who's the second person?"

"Wendell Duma."

The deputy found the na familiar, seed to have heard it sowhere, "Who is he?"

"He's Rebecca's agent, a very rcenary person, without him, Rebecca's career could have been much better.

Have you seen 'Spicy Sweetheart'?"

Little Black and the deputy both shook their heads.

"You should watch it, it's a great show, but because of Wendell Duma, the show was cut short.

I really dislike him.

Actually, it's not just , many of Rebecca's fans don't like him.

Rebecca should have left him long ago."

"Do you think the robbery of Rebecca Mosel might be related to these two people?"

"Yes."

"Do you have any evidence?"

Johnny Harlin paused for a mont and countered, "Isn't that what you're supposed to do?"
