"So, you think that threatening letter might be related to the hotel layoffs?"

Baron Ackman shrugged, "I don't know either.

But I know those laid-off employees, so of them cherished this job and really needed it.

Once laid off, it's a big blow to both their personal life and family.

I sympathize with their plight but am powerless to help."

Luke asked, "Among those laid-off people, is there anyone who feels strongly dissatisfied with the hotel?"

Baron Ackman thought for a mont, "There is indeed one person who made a scene at the hotel after being laid off."

"Why was he laid off?"

"He was complained about by a custor, who is a long-term client of our hotel."

"What was the complaint about?"

"Harassnt."

Luke said, "That complaint is very serious."

"Yes, it was settled only after the hotel executives got involved, otherwise, the client might have chosen to call the police. So, I personally think the layoff punishnt wasn't severe.

However, he didn't admit to the harassnt and has twice caused trouble at the hotel, once nearly getting physical."

Luke stated, "I want a list and information of recent layoffs."

"Tonight might not be possible, I'll report to Kyron Powell, the vice president tomorrow, and need his approval."

Luke settled for second best, "I want to know the na and details of the employee dismissed under harassnt allegations."

"Now?"

"Yes."

"OK, let think of a way." Baron Ackman walked to the balcony and made a phone call, after a while, he returned to the room, "I only found his na and phone number, his detailed information will be available tomorrow."

"Na and phone number are enough."

"Ron Winters, phone number, 702 876 3578"

Luke noted the na and phone number, "I'll soon investigate this person's situation."

Baron Ackman stood up, "Mr. Li, then I won't disturb your rest.

If needed, feel free to contact ."

"Thank you." Luke saw his guest out.

Luke walked to the coffee table, opened the bag to look at the wine, then uncorked the wine bottle and poured himself a glass.

He held the wine glass as he walked to the balcony, and made a call, "Hi, beauty, good evening.

It went fairly well.

That's right, I need your help investigating soone."

...

The next morning.

Luke obtained the hotel layoff information.

There were eight layoffs at the hotel, all were grassroots employees, including three males and five females.

Luke carefully examined the information of these eight people, and two of them had criminal records, including Ron Winters ntioned last night.

Luke borrowed a car from the hotel and drove himself to Ron Winters' address.

Boke Community.

A black Audi parked in front of a gray two-story building.

The driver's side door opened, Luke stepped out of the car, glanced around, and then walked towards the gray two-story building.

"Knock knock."

Luke knocked on the door.

After a while, the door opened, and a red-haired woman stood at the door, looking at Luke and asked, "Who are you looking for?"

"Is this Ron Winters' ho?"

"No, you've got the wrong place." The woman's voice was hard, seemingly emotional.

"Ma'am, may I know your na?"

"Shouldn't you introduce yourself first before asking soone else?" The red-haired woman scrutinized Luke.

"I'm a friend of Ron Winters."

"Then you should look for him, not co to my ho."

Luke spread his hands, "This is the address he gave ."

"He moved."

"Could you tell what your relationship with him was?"

"I'm his ex-girlfriend."

"I want to know where he has gone?"

"Either in a woman's bed or wandering the streets; only a ghost knows where he is." The red-haired woman snorted, "Why don't you just contact him directly."

"I want to, but his phone is unreachable."

The red-haired woman laughed disdainfully, "That ans his phone service is unpaid. If you want to reach him, help him recharge."

"Bang!" After the woman spoke, she directly closed the door.

Luke "..."

To find him, he had to pay his phone bill first, Luke thought this was a bit ridiculous.

More ridiculous was that after he paid the bill, the call indeed got through.

"Hello, who are you?" a puzzled voice ca from the other end of the phone.

"The person who paid your phone bill."

"Why do sothing stupid like that, you might as well treat to a drink, haha."

"I'm at Basuto Bar, if you want a drink, co over."

"Wait, who on earth are you? Why are you looking for ?"

"I'm a reviewer from Nitro Hotel, wanting to understand so things."

"I've already been laid off by you guys, and you still want to review .

Fuck, are you guys crazy."

"Don't rush, maybe this is a good thing for you."

"Bullshit, could you guys possibly let work at the hotel again?

The woman who complained about is the hotel's platinum VIP, the hotel wouldn't offend her for ."

"Perhaps, you might indeed not be able to return to the hotel work, but the hotel can provide you with a recomndation letter.

You can use this recomndation to apply to other hotels.

At least you won't be wandering the streets again."

After a long ti, Ron Winters sighed, "You're right, it couldn't get worse than it is now."

Half an hour later, Luke t Ron Winters at Basuto Bar.

According to the information provided by Baron Ackman, Ron Winters had been laid off for less than a month, but his appearance now was indistinguishable from a vagrant.

ssy hair, stubble all over his face, wearing a worn-out leather jacket; if encountered on the street, Luke would hardly recognize him at first sight.
