Morning of September 2nd.
Robbery and Murder Departnt interrogation room.
As soon as Luke entered the interrogation room, he felt a sinister gaze.
Anika Carn was sitting on the interrogation chair, glaring at him fiercely, questioning, "Where is my Coco? What have you done to it?"
Blackie rolled his eyes, "You might want to worry about yourself more than about that dog."
"Coco is my family, my daughter who I raised from a pup, I won't allow anyone to harm it, including you."
Blackie leaned closer to Luke, whispering, "I think this woman is crazy, should we get a ntal evaluation for her?"
Luke shook his head, based on previous interactions, he felt the woman's mind was fine, simply overly attached to her dog.
Having hobbies is good, but everything should have a limit, once it's excessive, a good thing can turn bad.
Luke said, "Since you want to talk about the dog, let's discuss your dog first." Luke took out a photo of Haida Cartman, "Did your dog attack this woman at Mogaro Forest Park?"
"No, Coco wouldn't bite people." Anika Carn denied decisively, as if the answer had already been in her mind.
"We found Haida Cartman's remains and severed fingers in a pit at Mogaro Forest Park. According to forensic analysis, Haida Cartman had bite injuries before death.
The dental impressions on the wounds are identical to those of your dog.
With this evidence, denial won't work."
Anika Carn lowered her head, unresponsive.
Luke continued, "Additionally, we dug up clothing pieces with Haida Cartman's blood and a broken dog tag from your yard, indicating that you were aware of and involved in the case, don't keep avoiding it.
You should be clear in your heart, without explaining clearly, you can't leave this interrogation room."
Anika Carn's eyes were red, she choked up saying, "It was just an accident, Coco didn't an to, please don't kill it."
Luke asked smoothly, "What accident, why did your dog bite Haida Cartman?"
Anika Carn wiped her eyes, seemingly realizing she could no longer evade and began speaking slowly, "On the night of August 24th, I took Coco for a walk.
At that ti, I saw no one else in Mogaro Forest Park, so I let Coco off the leash.
Coco was as happy as a child, running around the park.
A friend called , we hadn't seen each other in a while so we started chatting.
Coco was running ahead, I was following behind, it listens to well, as soon as I call it, it would co running back, so I wasn't worried it would run away.
I had just finished the call with my friend and was planning to go find Coco.
Suddenly, I heard a dog barking, followed by a woman shouting loudly.
When I rushed over, I found the woman hitting Coco, Coco was provoked and bit her back."
"I quickly ran over to pull Coco away, but Coco was too strong, I couldn't pull it at all.
The woman kept hitting Coco, I told her to stop, but she wouldn't listen.
The more she hit Coco, the more it beca aggressive, and the more fiercely it bit…" Anika Carn sighed, shaking her head, "Things got worse, Coco lost a lot of fur, and the woman was bleeding heavily, her injuries getting more serious..."
Blackie knitted his brows, questioning, "So you just watched your dog bite a person to death?"
"I wasn't just watching, I was always trying to separate them, but the woman kept provoking Coco.
Plus, I was pulling Coco with all my strength, but Coco is too strong, I couldn't move it at all."
Blackie retorted, "If your dog is so dangerous, why would you let it off the leash?"
"Coco has never bitten anyone before, it's not dangerous, and there were no other people around at the ti.
Mogaro Forest Park belongs to everyone, not any single person.
Coco is a life too, like humans, it has the right to enjoy freedom and shouldn't be tied by a leash every day."
"That's pure nonsense, your dog bit soone to death, yet you are defending the dog, why don't you reflect on your own mistakes?"
"I know it was wrong for Coco to bite soone, but it wouldn't bite people for no reason, the woman must have provoked Coco first.
I also feel very sorry, regretting letting it off the leash.
If I hadn't done that then, none of this would have happened."
Blackie still felt this woman's attitude was not sincere, treating human life like a trivial matter, questioning, "According to your description earlier, you arrived at the scene when the dog started biting.
But ultimately didn't save Haida Cartman.
Did you really try hard to separate them?"
"I did, but Coco is too strong, not to ntion without the leash, even if it had a leash, when it gets provoked, I can't pull it away."
After hearing this, Blackie wanted to slap him, "Since you can't control it, why are you keeping such a big dog?"
"Coco is usually very gentle, it has never done that before, it was the first ti..."
Luke corrected, "A dog's gentleness is only towards its owner, not everyone."
Luke isn't against owning a dog, and after moving to a bigger house, he has been considering getting one, but the premise is you need to be able to control it, and have a suitable environnt for keeping a dog.
