It's past two in the morning.
"Ring ring ring..." Luke was woken up by the sound of his phone.
Yawning, he reached for his phone on the bedside table with his right hand, "Hello, this is Luke."
Armand Hains's voice ca through the phone, "Consultant Li, there has just been a biochemical terrorist attack at a bar in Los Angeles. I've sent you the address."
"Got it."
Armand Hains hung up in a hurry after speaking.
Luke lay in bed for another two minutes before getting up to wash and head to the location of the attack.
Mort Bar.
It's a vampire-thed bar located on the second basent floor, styled like an ancient European castle.
At the entrance, there's a statue of a vampire draped in a scarlet cloak.
Unlike its usual lively atmosphere, the bar appeared unusually deserted, with police tape stretched across the entrance.
When Luke arrived at the bar, the FBI, ambulances, and CDC personnel were already at the scene.
Luke found Lynn Brouss among the crowd and asked, "What's the situation?"
Lynn Brouss sighed, "This bar is located on the second basent level with only one exit. The terrorists blocked the door, and the people inside did not have ti to escape. They were attacked by biochemical weapons, infected with the Yagola disease, and suffocated within a short ti."
Luke asked, "Was the perpetrator captured on cara?"
"The bar doesn't have surveillance caras."
"It seems this ti the terrorists put so thought into choosing the attack location."
Lynn Brouss said, "This ti the terrorists didn't release any threatening videos before the action, indicating either they lost patience or were short-staffed."
After the CDC personnel confird it was safe, Luke entered the bar to inspect the scene.
The interior of the bar was in disarray, with people in bizarre costus lying scattered, including vampires, werewolves, and half-beasts, creating an eerie atmosphere.
These individuals all had noticeable symptoms: foaming at the mouth, red skin, bulging veins, clear signs of Yagola disease.
Luke did a rough count; there were over forty deaths on-site, surpassing the number killed in the previous attack.
Luke's gaze fell on the corpse of a Caucasian girl wearing a tight black dress, silver hair, red eyes, with long fangs in her mouth, decked out in full vampire attire.
The girl looked young, likely not yet an adult, holding an Apple phone with its video recording function active.
Luke picked up the phone to check; the battery was nearly dead. "Give a power bank."
Soon, an FBI agent handed over a power bank.
Luke charged the phone and then checked the video recording.
The footage began with a group of young people in unusual costus moving in the dance floor: explosive music, dazzling lights; the bar's atmosphere was very lively.
A red smoke erged from the edge of the dance floor and quickly spread outwards.
The young people within the dance floor were the first to be engulfed by the red smoke.
Maybe due to alcohol intoxication, they not only were not afraid but seed even more excited; people around the dance floor squeezed towards the red smoke voluntarily.
Most people who co to such a heavy-thed bar are looking for stimulation, and many mistook this red smoke for a new special effect of the bar.
The red smoke spread rapidly, soon enveloping the entire bar.
By the ti people inside the bar realized the problem, it was too late to escape.
Chaos erupted inside the bar, with so guests attempting to flee, but ultimately they collapsed in pain one by one, their phones dropping to the ground, freezing the fra,
Luke carefully watched the video on the phone but didn't find any footage of the terrorists deploying the biochemical weapon.
Lynn Brouss waved him over, "Consultant Li, co here for a second."
Luke walked over and handed the phone to Lynn Brouss, "There's video footage in here capturing the terrorist attack."
Lynn Brouss asked, "Any clues about the terrorists?"
Luke shook his head, "By then, he must have already left."
Lynn Brouss said, "The CDC personnel already found the box that released the biochemical virus, and they also discovered a small USB drive inside the box."
As she spoke, Lynn Brouss inserted the USB drive into the computer, opened it, and inside was a video. The background is sowhat dark, still showing the person in a black cape, wearing a hood, with a white mask covering his face.
[Hi, nice to et you again.
This ti, I probably don't need to introduce myself?
I'm very angry, very, very angry.
Not only did you not release L338 detained at Guantanamo Prison, but you also slaughtered my comrades again. I've lost patience with you.
This will be the last video I release to you.
Afterwards, I won't actively contact you anymore. I will orchestrate a terrorist attack every day. I will fight for peace in my own way.
Until you release L338.
Enjoy yourselves!]
Armand Hains said after watching, "This video feels sowhat short and perfunctory, indicating he's sowhat panicked."
Luke said, "It could also be that he no longer needs to cover up and has enough excuses to continue terror attacks."
Lynn Brouss speculated, "Do you think this terrorist's motive isn't to rescue terrorist leader L338, but for so other purpose?"
Luke said, "Although there isn't concrete evidence yet, I do have so speculation.
