A hint of anger rose on Lilith Finn's pale cheeks, "Your suspicion offends ."

" too." Luke said as he stood up and left the lounge.

After the door closed, Lilith Finn sighed, "What an uncouth man."

After a while, she muttered softly, "Is it that obvious?"

Luke's guess wasn't wrong. What Lilith Finn did was to win her grandfather's favor. She was younger among her peers in the family and didn't have much competitiveness compared to her elder siblings who had achieved sothing.

She wanted to gain her grandfather's affection in this way, hoping to get a bit more of the inheritance, even if it's just a little bit more.

Originally, she intended to et Luke through a ssage from the auction house's manager, which would have been the simplest way, but Luke declined.

Later, she learned that Luke might attend the party, planning to prepare for a chance encounter, but unexpectedly, Luke saw through her, and even worse, he wasn't buying it.

In her twenty years, it was the first ti she felt such a strong sense of defeat.

Unlike Lilith Finn, these little episodes didn't affect Luke, as if this matter never happened at all.

Back at the party, he continued to drink and chat, and through Reid and Lee i, he t so new friends.

The party didn't end until after ten at night.

During that ti, Lilith Finn didn't appear again. Perhaps because she was still young, this proud girl hadn't developed enough scheming nature.

Or perhaps she disdain to conceal her true self.

For Luke, this wasn't a bad thing.

Luke bid farewell to Reid and drove back ho.

On the way, Luke was still pondering how Lilith Finn found out his identity. Generally, a large auction house wouldn't easily disclose the seller's information without the client's permission.

But what if it was indeed the auction house that leaked it?

That would be interesting. Should he et Daisy tomorrow to see how it's defined legally?

With these thoughts, Luke returned to the Greenfield Community.

He drove the car in front of the garage and got out.

Just as he reached the door, he noticed that the doormat was slightly raised, as if sothing was placed underneath.

Luke showed a cautious expression, scanning around, but found nothing suspicious or anyone suspicious.

Then, Luke gently lifted the doormat, took a handkerchief from his jacket pocket, and using it, he took the envelope back into the house.

Inside, Luke once again looked outside through the window, still seeing no suspicious figure.

In fact, the Luke family had installed surveillance, but it was well-hidden, making it hard for ordinary people to notice.

Luke opened the computer monitoring interface to check the surveillance footage and saw that around ten in the evening, a suspicious figure appeared.

This figure was wearing a gray hoodie with the hood up and blue jeans underneath, placed the envelope under the doormat, and left.

The person kept his head down the whole ti, so the cara didn't capture a frontal photo. He was slim, over six feet tall, judging by his build and walking posture, he should be a man.

The surveillance footage didn't reveal many valuable clues. Luke put on gloves and opened the envelope, finding five photos inside.

In the photos, a man and a woman were walking by the seaside. The woman had her arm around the man's shoulder, looking quite intimate, and there was even a photo of them kissing.

The man was Caucasian, of average height, with a fit build, soone Luke hadn't t before.

The woman was wearing a blue swimsuit, tall with brown hair, resembling Daisy.

Luke frowned slightly, this joke wasn't funny at all.

He carefully examined each photo, faintly sensing sothing was amiss. The woman's appearance in the photos looked like Daisy, but her figure was slightly different.

This brown-haired woman's height was about the sa as Daisy's, but Daisy's body proportions were slightly better, with straighter legs.

Moreover, Daisy was so busy with work, it was unlikely she would go to the seaside.

Based on what Luke knew about Daisy, the woman in the photos shouldn't be her.

Why did such photos appear at his doorstep?

Was it ant for him or for Daisy? This kind of disgusting manner was really lowly.

Luke picked up the photos again to examine, wondering who the woman in the photos was.

Was it soone who looked similar to Daisy, or was it a composite photo?

A vision of a blonde, blue-eyed beauty flashed in Luke's mind, could it be Lilith Finn's prank?

If it was, then it went a bit too far.

But upon deeper thought, Luke felt the possibility was slim. Even if that woman was upset with him, she probably wouldn't bring Daisy into it.

Besides, she had no reason to do so.

Then who could it be?

Why employ such a despicable tactic?

Luke carefully recalled his recent experiences but couldn't think of anyone suspicious.

Unable to think of a suspicious person, Luke began speculating the person's purpose.

If he saw the photos and mistakenly believed the woman was Daisy, in a fit of anger, he might act irrationally.

For instance, having a huge fight with Daisy, or even cutting ties with her directly.

Who would benefit from such an outco?

Various possibilities flashed in his mind, but with too few evidence and clues, Luke couldn't determine anything.

However, one thing was clear, the person who placed the envelope likely regarded him as a pawn.

This made Luke very angry.

After pondering for a mont, Luke took out his phone and made a call.
