Before the era of the villages, most of the ninja clans of the world were scattered and at war with each other.
It was the birth of Hashirama Senju that changed everything.
With the most powerful kekkei genkai, the Wood Element, capable not only of continuing to exist even after chakra stopped being injected into it but also of easily restraining any tailed beast, combined with his incredible strength and an enormous amount of chakra comparable even to that of the Uzumaki, Hashirama Senju became the god of the ninja world.
He ended the war, created the village system, and divided the tailed beasts across the world.
However, he did not do it alone. One of his most powerful allies was the Uchiha clan, especially Madara Uchiha, who unlocked the powerful Mangekyo Sharingan, a legendary evolution of the Sharingan beyond the normal Sharingan.
However, the peace did not last long. Long after the founding of their own ninja village, Konoha, Madara and Hashirama had disputes that ended with Madara attempting to assassinate Hashirama and failing. Because of this and numerous other minor situations, most of the Uchiha began to be viewed with suspicion and their relationship with the village gradually became more unstable.
The arrogant personality of the Uchiha, even reaching the point of believing they were above Konoha and that they should rule it, only fueled the flames.
Decades after decades of these thoughts made the relationship between the Uchiha and Konoha in the present extremely tense, so tense that any action could trigger a war between both sides.
This was something the current clan leader, Uchiha Fugaku, knew. That was why he planned to use Shisui as a bridge to reconnect both sides.
Shisui, having been raised with that purpose since childhood, turned it into his greatest goal and his reason for living, even going so far as to place the village above his clan many times, claiming it was to demonstrate loyalty to Konoha and improve the clan's reputation.
Some might say that Shisui was an idiot, someone without even a trace of Uchiha pride who kneels before Konoha instead of demanding respect.
Others might say that Shisui is intelligent, that instead of seeing only the immediate problem he saw the bigger picture, realizing that if things continued like this not only would all the Uchiha suffer the moment they attempted to rebel, but the village would also be weakened by that conflict, consequently empowering the other ninja villages.
But at this moment none of that mattered anymore, because Shisui knew that now that Minato was dead, Hiruzen, or failing that Danzo, would not take it well. They would punish him, probably with death.
If even the Uchiha closest to the Hokage faction were punished, the clan would only take it as a provocation that would probably trigger the war he had tried so hard to avoid.
Even if Konoha's high command knew this and wanted to avoid problems, Danzo was desperate enough and hated the Uchiha enough to do it anyway.
He could even use it to deliberately trigger a rebellion and accuse Kushina of being responsible, weakening her position as well.
This was the future Shisui glimpsed in the milliseconds it took Kushina to pierce Minato's heart.
In Shisui's eyes, the future was extremely bleak, plunging him into unmatched despair.
In response to his feelings, his three tomoe Sharingan began to spin at great speed, causing him such pain that he probably would have screamed if he had not been in such a mental state that he ignored everything except his thoughts echoing again and again at full volume.
Finally the pattern in his eyes stopped, transforming into the legendary Mangekyo Sharingan that had not appeared again since the legendary Uchiha Madara.
"...ALL OF THIS IS YOUR FAULT!!!"
His roar of rage was followed by a powerful mental force that attempted to perate the female ninja.
However somehow she avoided it easily while looking at Shisui with curiosity.
Around Shisui, a huge celestial skeletal body began to form, raising him dozens of meters into the air.
Faced with the enormous skeleton before them, Gamabunta reacted with disbelief.
"The Susanoo, that kid awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan."
The female ninja did not speak. A trace of seriousness she had not shown before crossed her eyes.
Without waiting for the giant skeleton to move she made her move.
The ground began to tremble when a large wooden dragon emerged from the ground through cracks it created itself.
The dragon skillfully avoided the fists of the Susanoo as if it had a life of its own and coiled around it.
Because of Shisui's mental state he could not even think at that moment. He only continued roaring in meaningless anger while attacking without reason.
The dragon, coiled around him, began to tighten more and more without Shisui even trying to free himself.
The Susanoo, previously imposing, began to show cracks across its body that soon spread before shattering.
CRACK!
With the sound of fragile glass breaking, the legendary Susanoo collapsed, and Shisui fell with it.
When it fell, the ground shook violently while large amounts of dust and chakra rose into the air.
Gamabunta could only watch this with disbelief. However when the dust cleared he was even more surprised.
Around the machine, which Gamabunta had hoped had at least been destroyed during the battle, two giant skeletal hands were protecting it from damage.
"That is... a Susanoo? You also have the Mangekyo Sharingan? The Susanoo should be armor, using it like that is impossible. And that earlier was Wood Element. What kind of monster are you?"
"Why would I tell you that?" the ninja replied dryly to Gamabunta. "Just move aside and let me heal senior Minato."
Gamabunta, who had been moving Minato and trying to heal him, was startled by her words.
"Do you think I will let you get close to him?" Gamabunta stopped pretending to be polite and became serious.
"If I wanted to kill both of you I would have already done it. I only wanted to test you a little, I did not expect the situation to get so out of control."
"You almost pierced Minato's heart, he would be dead if it had been a little more to the right
