Chapter 825: Chapter 807 The Only Condition

“The complete set of Magic Conduction Machine technology, plus fifty million Gold Coins.”

“All the technology related to Sixth Generation warships, plus eighty million Gold Coins.”

Facing the representatives of Sigma Corporation and Uranus Corporation, Athena didn’t even provide them with a list. She directly stated her demands.

Although Sigma and Uranus Corporations were both giants in the Armor Domain, they were still far too weak compared to The Three Great Alliances. What they could offer—or what City Lord Rocky intended to get from them—was fairly limited.

Fortunately, these two companies indeed stood out in Armor Technology. Both companies had their unique technologies, though the majority of them were uninteresting to City Lord Rocky. The only things that could entice Rocky and Orton’s group were the Magic Conduction Machine technology used in the Holy Angel Armor and Uranus Corporation’s ongoing Sixth Generation Armor developnt.

Even Hamrfire had to admit that Denise, the woman behind the designs, was a true genius in armor design. The Magic Conduction Machine technology she developed was undoubtedly one of the most dazzling achievents of this era. In fact, had Rocky not discovered Mana Runes, Magic Conduction Machine technology might have ushered in an entirely new epoch.

Therefore, both Rocky and others in Hamrfire had long coveted this technology. Unfortunately, they had never had the opportunity to collaborate with Sigma Corporation, leaving them to lant in frustration.

But now, things had changed. Denise had been captured by Rocky, giving everyone an unprecedented chance to finally obtain the long-desired Magic Conduction Machine technology.

As for Uranus Corporation, to be honest, their technological advancents hadn’t been particularly exciting for Rocky. The reason was simple—Rocky had already mastered Elental Technology and was even starting to implent it. Uranus Corporation, despite previously surpassing Sigma Corporation in research, had now fallen behind Rocky in this area.

Thinking it over, Rocky could only co up with one thing he wanted from Uranus Corporation: their Sixth Generation Armor. Though the Sixth Generation Armor wasn’t groundbreaking for him—especially in these days of increasingly mature Rune Technology with the White Demon Armor already advancing to the Third Generation and incorporating Elental Technology—the Sixth Generation Armor might still be worth a look for Orton and his colleagues. After all, as the old saying goes, “The stone from another mountain can polish one’s jade.”

Thus, Athena laid out these conditions to Uranus Corporation, setting the ransom at eighty million Gold Coins. From Rocky’s perspective, the Sixth Generation Armor technology was significantly less valuable than the Magic Conduction Machine technology, which justified the higher ransom.

“This…”

Upon hearing Athena’s demands, the two representatives of Sigma and Uranus Corporations imdiately showed troubled expressions. Athena’s requirents far exceeded what they could decide on their own. A ransom of tens of millions was manageable—both companies were willing to pay that amount to get their Sect Leaders back, especially given their imnse wealth. However, when it ca to their core technologies, it was beyond these representatives’ authority.

“Athena, might I… see Miss Denise? After all, her consent is required for these terms.”

“Yes, I’d also like to et Mr. Kashu.”

Facing Athena’s demands, the representatives lacked the authority to make a decision. Thus, they requested to et with Denise and Kashu, reasoning that as long as the two gave their approval, the deal could be finalized.

“No problem, I’ll make the arrangents.”

Athena imdiately nodded in agreent. She was well aware that these representatives were incapable of making such decisions—only Denise and Kashu, who were currently detained, could approve these conditions. This was precisely the difference between the two companies and The Three Great Alliances.

Shortly thereafter, Athena made the necessary arrangents, dispatching personnel to escort the representatives to et Denise and Kashu.

After the representatives left, the room was left with only three people: Athena, Aileen, and a representative from the Heavenly Ancestor Church.

Earlier, when facing all three representatives simultaneously, Athena paid little heed to the Heavenly Ancestor Church’s representative. Now that the other two had left, her gaze landed on him, making the man visibly uncomfortable.

“Mr. Valachi, if your group wishes to retrieve Young Master Zuluo, then you will need…”

Mid-sentence, Athena paused as though she’d suddenly rembered sothing and turned to Aileen. “Aileen, what did City Lord Rocky say?”

“The Lord has no intention of releasing Zuluo.”

Glancing at Athena, Aileen spoke straightforwardly. Since Rocky didn’t plan to release Zuluo, there hadn’t even been an attempt to consider terms.

“Athena, Aileen, surely we can discuss this…”

Upon hearing Aileen’s remark, Valachi, who had been sent by Rick to negotiate, imdiately panicked. As both the Heavenly Ancestor Church Archbishop and Heavenly Ancestor City’s diplomat, he understood all too well that this was the prelude to an outrageous demand. Hurriedly, he said, “Ladies, the conflicts between the Heavenly Ancestor Church and City Lord Rocky were all misunderstandings. Lord Rick was misled by The Three Great Alliances and made so poor judgnts. Please convey this to City Lord Rocky.”

It was evident that Valachi had decided not to side with The Three Great Alliances any longer—or, more precisely, with the two within them. The Sky Alliance and Kafka Empire had long since abandoned the Heavenly Ancestor Church. In such a situation, Valachi saw no choice but to shift all the bla onto The Three Great Alliances.

One might argue that his approach lacked dignity or diplomatic finesse. It hardly seed like negotiation at all.

And they’d be correct. But what choice did Valachi have?

In the clashes between The Three Great Alliances and Rocky, the Heavenly Ancestor Church had suffered the most grievous losses. Sky Might and Fury, two Sky Cities, had been destroyed, and Heaven’s Comncent and Heaven’s Grace had been repelled. With such defeats, how could Valachi possibly stand strong before Athena?

Thus, it wasn’t an exaggeration to say Valachi was now desperate for one thing: rescuing Zuluo, severing all ties with both Rocky and The Three Great Alliances, and completely withdrawing from any future involvent with any side. For the Heavenly Ancestor Church, that would be the best possible outco.

Upon hearing this, Athena pondered for a mont, then looked at Aileen. Aileen pretended to consider it as well, ultimately speaking after a long pause:

“Although City Lord Rocky isn’t inclined to release Zuluo, he is interested in Heaven’s Comncent and Heaven’s Grace Sky Cities, so…”

“That’s impossible!”
