The young man before them had black hair and red eyes, his hair slicked back at an angle. He exuded a mix of seriousness and a touch of nonchalance. He appeared to be around twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, handso with slightly delicate features, and an unmistakable air of arrogance.

He was Emlyn White, the vampire who later joined the Tarot Club.

Emlyn said, "Sorry, my father just went out. Please co back another day."

Hobert smiled and said, "I heard that Dr. White's son also has excellent dical skills. We've traveled a long way. Please help my friend."

Emlyn hesitated for a mont before saying, "Co in."

The four vagrants carried weir to a bed in the clinic. While examining Weir, Emlyn casually asked, "You don't seem to be locals."

In Hobert's impression, Emlyn was sowhat careless, but now it seed this vampire was quite cautious, even asking about the background of a stranger.

"Yes, I was introduced by Mr. Moriarty," Hobert said boldly. "Mr. Moriarty once had a severe liver disease, and doctors had almost given up on him.

"Through a friend on Riverbay Avenue, he found Dr. White. After just three doses of dicine, Mr. Moriarty's condition miraculously improved."

Hearing that they were introduced by a client of his father, Emlyn diagnosed, "His lumbar vertebrae are broken! I happen to have a potion that can regenerate bones, but it will be very painful."

He explained, "My father and I specialize in internal dicine. Your friend is lucky; I just read about a bone-regenerating potion a few days ago."

Hobert thought: Is it really such a coincidence, or is this vampire doctor just saying that?

He said, "That's great. Please start the treatnt now."

"The potion costs 30 pounds!" Emlyn explained. "One of the ingredients is very rare and expensive."

It seed to contain so Beyonder materials of a low sequence. Without hesitation, Hobert counted out the money: "Please start."

Fortunately, he had borrowed 50 pounds from the office in the morning, or he wouldn't have had enough for today's expenses.

Lisa, who had co along, hesitated, clearly wanting to remind the young man that no dicine should cost 30 pounds. Was he being scamd?

Even Weir, lying on the bed, thought it was too expensive, but since it wasn't his money, he said nothing.

Emlyn began his "bloodletting treatnt," making a shallow cut on Weir's arm.

As he collected the blood, he said, "The body's fluids are limited. If I don't release so blood first, the potion I prepare will be hard to absorb."

It sounded reasonable, but Hobert almost believed his nonsense, especially when Emlyn subtly licked his lips at the sight of blood. It was indeed "nonsense."

After collecting about 200 milliliters of blood, Emlyn went to the preparation room to mix the potion and had Weir drink it in one gulp.

Then, like a bone setter, Emlyn realigned Weir's lumbar vertebrae.

The process made weir scream in pain. When Emlyn finished, Weir scread even louder, "Did you give poison?! Are you trying to kill ?!"

Emlyn said, "The bones are starting to regrow. I told you it would be very painful."

Hobert ignored Weir's screams and chatted leisurely with Emlyn about the interesting things in the South of the Bridge area.

After about ten minutes of desperate screaming, Weir's pain began to subside. He found that he could miraculously sit up.

Peter and Lisa, standing by, couldn't believe their eyes and began praising the goddess, calling it a miracle.

Emlyn's proud expression beca even more pronounced. "Alright, in an hour or two, he will be almost fully recovered."

Hobert couldn't help but marvel, "Your dical skills are truly superb."

The 30 pounds were well spent!

With Emlyn's satisfied expression, Hobert had the vagrants carry Weir back to the carriage, and they all returned to the East Borough.

On the way back, Lisa kept saying, "Goddess, it's truly incredible, Mr. Hobert. I didn't expect there to be such a skilled doctor in Backlund."

Hobert smiled aningfully, "In Backlund, anything is possible."

Lisa wondered, "But if that young doctor and his father are so skilled, why don't they have any reputation?"

Because they don't want to be too conspicuous, Hobert thought. If he hadn't prepared "Mr. Moriarty" in advance as a referral, Emlyn wouldn't have treated Weir.

Thinking this, Hobert said, "As far as I know, they don't like being disturbed by too many people, so please don't spread today's events."

Lisa sighed, "That's a pity."

Back in the East Borough, Hobert paid the vagrants 6 soli each. They thanked him profusely, as this money would allow them to have two full als and find a cheap inn to rest, giving them a chance to find work.

With a job, they could rent a floor space for 10 pence or 1 soli a week, leaving the life of a vagrant behind.

Peter stepped forward and said, "Sir, what about my paynt?"

"I'll give it to you later," Hobert said. "So you don't chase after the four vagrants to extort them."

Peter smiled awkwardly; he had indeed thought of doing that.

Hobert said to Weir, "It's only half-past two. We still have ti to withdraw the lawsuit."

Weir, almost fully recovered, respectfully said, "Yes, sir."

Standing up again, Weir felt reborn and had newfound respect for Hobert, becoming unconsciously more respectful.

By four o'clock, Hobert and his group had successfully withdrawn the lawsuit, resolving the matter perfectly.

Back at the Earl Hall's mansion, Lisa still found the day's events unbelievable.

After dinner, Audrey finally had ti to hear Lisa's report.

Earl Hall and his wife were also present, having nothing else to do after dinner, so they listened in.

Audrey asked, "How did it go, Lisa? Did you et my friend and the injured person?"

"Oh, my beautiful lady, the progress far exceeded our expectations," Lisa said. "Miss Xio will be released tomorrow."

Audrey was stunned, "Wasn't the injured person hurt by Miss Xio?"

"Of course, it's hard to imagine how such a petite girl could injure an adult male," Lisa said. "It was our lawyer, who demonstrated high efficiency and valuable connections."
