Queen Isabella was far too old; the gap between her spiritual and ntal fortitude and Jenkins’s was imnse. The power of his Lie Godhood would undoubtedly last until the three of them departed.

They then learned that the woman nad Jessica was an Enchanter, which was how she had managed to kill Magic Miss with a surprise curse. Seeing no signs of their return to their own reality, the trio decided to go and et this “Jessica.”

Of course, to prevent any unforeseen complications, Jenkins had Queen Isabella forget their recent conversation. While the domain of “Lies” wasn’t the sa as “Hypnosis,” to soone whose mind was so much weaker than his, his words were practically hypnotic.

“How are you feeling now?”

Back on the street shrouded in gray mist, Jenkins asked Magic Miss:

“When you see the woman who murdered you, will you want revenge?”

“That will depend on the situation,”

Magic Miss replied, tilting her head back. Her mood was surprisingly good; she hadn’t fallen into disarray over her own bizarre death.

“Miss Windsor, how about you? How are you feeling?”

He then turned to his other companion.

“She feels more and more like a stranger to .”

“Does your chest still hurt?”

“A little, but it’s alright. Don’t pay too much mind. I’ll be fine.”

Usually, the people who said things like that were the ones most likely to have a problem. So, for safety’s sake, Jenkins added a warning:

“Even though her na is also Jessica Windsor, we already know she isn’t you and has no blood relation to you. So no matter what we discover next, please try not to let it affect you.”

“I understand.”

It was a strange coincidence. Because her identity could never be revealed, Queen Isabella’s illegitimate daughter had been fostered by the Duke of Windsor since childhood, which was why her na was also Jessica Windsor.

But since she wasn’t the Duke of Windsor’s biological daughter, she was naturally not grood to be his heir, unlike the Miss Windsor of Jenkins’s reality.

Although this Miss Windsor was looked after by the Duke, the Windsor family treated her rely as a distant relative. They provided her with the best education and living conditions necessary, but they rarely interfered with her upbringing.

Because of this, this Jessica Windsor had the opportunity to beco an unregistered Enchanter, unlike the real Miss Windsor, who had lived her whole life as an ordinary person.

Following the clues from Queen Isabella, the three of them found Jessica Windsor. They waited for her to leave her ho, then subdued the coachman and slipped into the carriage to speak with her face-to-face. The carriage continued on its way, so no one would notice anything was amiss.

Queen Isabella’s illegitimate daughter, Jessica, looked markedly different from the real Miss Windsor. She was, however, just as beautiful; after all, Queen Isabella herself had been a great beauty in her youth.

“So, who are you?”

Despite being ambushed by strangers, the resolute-faced Jessica showed no signs of panic. She studied the three of them in turn, correctly identifying the man as their leader.

“Who we are isn’t important. Answer a few of our questions, and we’ll be on our way.”

“Then ask away.”

Her composure was almost unnatural, and Jenkins suspected she had an ace up her sleeve.

“Do you know this person?”

He showed her the photograph of Magic Miss again.

“I do.”

“Did you kill her?”

“You could say that.”

“Why?”

“She discovered my mother and my relationship.”

“Is that all?”

“Yes. Is that not reason enough?”

Though her answers were smooth, they were still lies.

“Since you’re an Enchanter yourself, you must know that Enchanters have ways of detecting falsehoods. I’ll give you one more chance. If you don’t start telling the truth, madam, I will have to resort to so rather impolite thods.”

“Is that so?”

The unfamiliar Jessica Windsor’s face broke into a faint smile. She leaned back against the soft cushions of the carriage seat, her gaze calm as she looked at Jenkins.

“And what, exactly, are you going to do to ?”

“I’ll handle this,”

Magic Miss declared. Jenkins was about to nod when he suddenly froze, then violently slamd his right palm upward.

Crack!

A man in black crashed through the carriage roof like a ferocious hound diving from the sky, his descending palm colliding with Jenkins’s upward strike. The imnse force of their impact instantly splintered the floorboards of the carriage beneath Jenkins’s feet. The boards gave way completely, causing the carriage to disintegrate in midair.

Standing on the open road, Jenkins retracted his right hand and stared at the man who now stood beside Jessica Windsor. It was “Jenkins Williams.”

“Well, this is unexpected. So this was your trump card,”

Jenkins remarked, his eyes darting to the side to confirm that Magic Miss and Miss Windsor were unhard.

“Kill them. I’ll triple the paynt I offered last ti,”

Jessica Windsor ordered without hesitation. The wanted man, Jenkins, imdiately raised his pistol. It was a disturbingly familiar weapon—the sa color, size, and style as the gun wielded by the fugitive Jenkins from before. Its bullets produced only small explosions, but they were powerful enough to fracture spatial barriers.

Jenkins had no ti to ponder what other strange turns this world—a world without him, the transmigrator—had taken. Just as he had before, he lunged forward, grabbed the gun’s barrel, and wrenched it skyward.

“I win,”

he declared. Vines erupted from his right hand, binding not only the pistol and his double’s hand but also snaking rapidly up his arm to engulf his entire body.

This battle was completely different from the one in the last possibility world. Since abilities in a Mysterious Realm could only be used once, he couldn’t use [chanist] this ti. The outco, however, was the sa: Jenkins killed Jenkins.

Although both were descendants of the World Tree’s keepers, compared to Jenkins, who had fused with the World Tree Seed and truly beco the World Tree Seedling, the Jenkins from this possibility had not even begun to tap into the true essence of life force.

The World Tree in its seedling form held an overwhelming advantage over an un-evolved successor, so Jenkins won with ease.

Having already witnessed the spectacle of him “killing himself,” Miss Windsor and Magic Miss were not as shocked as they had been before. But Jessica Windsor had never imagined that her seemingly invincible rcenary would be dealt with so effortlessly.

“Alright, madam. You’re coming with us.”

Jenkins and Magic Miss flanked her and seized her arms, practically kidnapping her. They lifted her off her feet as they hustled her into an alley. Before leaving, Jenkins didn’t forget to toss a ball of fire to incinerate his double’s corpse and shatter the strange pistol with a stomp of his foot.

The four of them moved quickly, finally stopping after breaking into a street-facing apartnt and making sure no one was currently inside.

“You or ?”

Jenkins asked Magic Miss. He picked up a flower from the windowsill and tossed it onto the floor. Stimulated by his life force, the petals of the unknown pale-yellow flower drifted off as its stem grew into thick tendrils, securely binding the slightly panicked Jessica Windsor to prevent her from escaping.

“I’ll do it,”

Magic Miss said.

“Should I step away?”

Miss Windsor asked. Though this woman shared her na, her face and figure were different. She felt no emotional connection to the Jessica now bound by the vines.

“No need. I won’t use any extre thods, don’t worry,”

Magic Miss replied with a smile.
