Valtar’s eyes glowed dangerously as he said in a domineering manner,

"I hope you’re the one I would clash with first unless you are scared."

Unlike what he expected the Fae did not beco enraged rather she said calmly,

" I’m the first one to go and If you think I am as soft as my innocent sister Thailyn, you are oh so very mistaken."

After that Raelyn made a gesture with her hand, all the lower Fae got ready to go forward and the other 9 High Fae stepped and remained on the sidelines keeping so distance and observing each with varied expressions on their face but one thing was common in all of their expressions, an unconcealed excitent in all of their eyes as if they were about to witness the greatest show in their lives.

The Fae Queen was nowhere to be seen. Raelyn raised her hand upward, motioned forward, and stated in an authoritative voice, "Kill them all."

The mont those words escaped from her mouth, all the 30 Lesser Fae rushed forward like beasts, every single one of them was at the third-stage level. Not to ntion their overwhelming physical prowess as well as mystical abilities.

But seeing how they ran more like rabid dogs instead of maintaining the graceful elegance like the High Fae, Valtar understood a few things about why perhaps they were called Lesser Fae. He thought to himself, ’I guess it’s not just a simple distinction between strength but a difference in bloodline perhaps.’

He also did not stand idle and made a motion of attack, understanding their master’s assignnt except for the Shadow Snake all of the ghostbounds rushed forward. Their blood-red eyes glowed even more ominously in the light of dawn, their dead expression was a stark contrast to how they were running towards the lesser fae as if ready to tear them all to shreds.

37 Ghostbounds were rushing towards the 30 Lesser Fae, among his 37 dark elves there were 17 at the peak of the third stage and 20 at the peak of the second stage. He looked towards the High Fae called Raelyn, and seeing her simply standing there he went back to his own thoughts.

To be honest he wanted to keep the Ghostbounds of his if possible but seeing how strong each of the lesser Fae were he understood that it was not possible. Most of the ghostbounds of his needed to die, what he was worried about was that after witnessing the real strength of his ghostbounds the Fae might not keep their words of fair play any longer, after all the result would be the exact opposite of what they expect.

He rembered the last words of the Fae queen before she vanished right outside of their area before entering, "I have kept secret your recent signs of progress and the peculiar ghost-summoning ability of yours. So, you don’t need to worry too much and simply do what you have to do."

Her words sounded nothing less than a loud thunderclap in Valtar’s ears. He did not trust her words at face value. But considering how much these High Fae have been underestimating him till now the words are most likely true. He chuckled to himself,

’Well, whatever I will only believe it after this first clash of ours is finished.’

And if it indeed turned out to be true then one of the things the Queen most likely wants is....right at that mont he was forced to cancel out all his inner thoughts as he gazed intently at the clash that was about to occur.

All 37 of the Dark elves were fierce with swords in their hands but their adversaries did not have weapons in their hands believing in their powerful bodies which seed more like trees. The mont they were a few ters away, all of them activated their dark steps and the first stage of the boost. The head-on clash that was supposed to happen did not as the lesser Fae suddenly beca perplexed.

However, at the very mont, a shill cry of their own awoke them from their stupor. Their expression beca more monstrous as they turned their backs and the enemies appeared in the middle of them and one of them had a heart pierced through a particularly old-looking elf. The one who was in charge of leading the battle shouted strangely as all of them tried to surround the dark elves who appeared in their middle.

The one who took the first kill was the first elder Zolthar. Even though in this area there was no trace of darkness they could still use their dark steps sowhat in a crude manner as the sun has not entirely illuminated the world. Now that they were all significantly stronger their use of the darkness elent was much more deep and efficient than beforehand.

Not to ntion because of the first stage of boost of ghost summoning skill, they were keeping up with the Fae quite well in fact. The lesser Fae on the other side were no less dangerous they seed to have a slight upper hand. Their wood-like bodies seem hard to cut through with tallic weapons. They were also manipulating the earth in various ways. Sotis by raising a small earth wall, sotis by producing a strange screech that should have the ability to stun your enemies, sotis by brute physical force and many other unknown abilities but with a much smaller power scale.

At this mont the voice of the High Fae reached his ears, "Why not let the snake join?"

Valtar smirked hearing that, "And why let it join? When it is not necessary."

Raelyn was slightly surprised at first because Valtar was concealing the level of all of his ghostbounds through so help of the system after hearing from the queen that most of the recent power boost was not known by the Fae. So, not knowing that all of the human ghostbounds were actually this strong caught the High Fae off guard. But she regained her composure in just a few seconds.

Valtar knew the reason why she was still composed. He thought back to the mory of the fight between Hansel and Lesser Fae, the 5 Fae went through a sudden transformation which boosted their powers to a much much higher level. But he also had his own Achilles heel.

As ti gradually passed Raelyn’s expression beca increasingly annoyed because there was one particular elf that had a monstrous battle prowess and that damn thing had already killed 5 Fae. While on Valtar’s side only 5 2nd stage beings fell, so his losses were much less. Thanks to the first elder’s overwhelming combat prowess the battle was much in his favor.

Raelyn not wanting to take any more losses commanded, "Go all out."

The mont her command was heard by the Lesser Fae their countenance extrely beca incomparably ferocious and sinister. Even though they were lesser ones they still had their own pride. They already felt extrely humiliated by the fact that they were having trouble against a bunch of dark elves who were nothing but controlled puppets.

The powers of the Lesser Fae soared trendously, their bodies beca more monstrous and bigger, and they now had physical prowess comparable to a newly advanced pathwalker being. Valtar’s expression also beca tense as he ordered the system to activate the second boost, the blood boost on them.

Of course, his tense expression was mostly for show, the queen would beco wary of him if he acted as if he knew this fact which he should not since this was the first ti for him clashing against the Fae.

Both of the small armies of already powerful beings beca even more powerful, each of the Fae entangled with one or two enemies. Now most of the beings here had the strength of being close to Pathwalkers. The dark elves still continued to fight like slippery rats which caused all the fae an imnse amount of headache, sotis they found themselves clashing against each other because of the dark elf’s tactics.

The boost they received in that mode was not without its cost Valtar realized after observing so more. There should be a ti limit for it and maybe it cost them their lifespan. They also seem to be less rational. Valtar’s gaze turned to the High Fae in charge of the battle, as expected her expression was incomparably ugly.

To be more precise she was shocked, extrely shocked the damn puppets of the human already received one boost and now they received another boost out of nowhere. How could a human have such abilities, she already overestimated the abilities of the humans, and even then she turned out to be wrong.

"Again it’s that damn old elf." Raelyn muttered to her barely suppressing her anger.

She wanted to go there imdiately and rip that damn old-looking puppet to a thousand pieces, she was just that much enraged.

Valtar smiled noticing this, truly that guy Zolthar is a monster when it cos to combat even after death, if not for that guy even with all these advantages it would have been hard to guarantee the victory of his ghostbounds.
