WAAAAAH!!!!
A cry of the newborn child could be heard from outside and the mont Hansel heard that sound, he rushed inside in hurried steps. He saw his wife was slightly breathless,
Their child was in the hands of another female elf who helped with the delivery of the baby. Hansel’s wife looked at her husband who remained frozen there and said to him lovingly, it’s a daughter. Hansel took a very slow step forward as if he was afraid of making noise while walking. He picked up the child and held her in his Embrace. An unbiased and happy smile blood on his face. He had now beco a father.
He looked at his wife Elayra, who now seems to have a slightly better expression on her face. The child also stopped crying as soon as he took the newborn into his embrace. He said to his wife in a soft voice, "Then we shall call her, Elmyra."
Elayra simply nodded happily. She felt happiest at that mont. She wished things could just remain like this forever that would be more than enough.
Ti passed, and slowly but surely their daughter beca 5 years old. Yet she still looked like a 2-3 year old child. Dark Elves being a long-living race had a slow growth rate naturally. But their daughter was quite intelligent for her age, every day and night the family of three spent together was utter bliss. Hansel loved his wife and daughter dearly.
Unfortunately, their blissful tis are not ant to last. At one point, Hansel’s wife began to behave strangely. She would suddenly shout in the middle of sleep. She was having constant nightmares. Yet when she woke up, she did not rember what it was about, only there would be imnse lingering fear after waking up.
Eventually, her health began to deteriorate, and her ntal state was starting to beco a ss. Because of his constant worry for his wife, he paid less and less attention to his toddler daughter. Little Elmyra being very intelligent did not bother her parents. She was also worried about her mother. The situation beca so bad at one point that Elmyra was sent to the Third Elder’s house where she would live with the Third Elder and his wife for a while.
Inside of Elayra’s nightmare -
Elayra opened her eyes inside of a white room. Her eyes trembled to see the room she had been tornted countless tis in. Every ti she returned to this nightmare, the mories would return and every ti she woke up, she would forget everything related to that. Only the fear would remain, the fear of losing your most precious one.
The sound of her tornter rang beside her, "Are you ready to pay the price?" Elayra’s body shuddered for the umpteenth ti looking at the Fae Folk that is the source of her tornt, the poison that broke apart her peaceful and happy life.
The Fae spoke exasperatedly, "Don’t look at like that, how many tis must I tell you? I am simply trying to help." "Your daughter will die of a terrible disease as long as you don’t pay the price."
There is a saying that goes like this, If you tell a lie thousands of tis, it will eventually beco the truth.
Elayra gritted her teeth, she had been told this so many tis in so many ways that even when she understood the real motive of the Fae, she had started to believe it. This was probably her 1000th nightmare where she has been said the sa thing endlessly. How could her ntal state not be broken?
When she wakes up she forgets everything, this constant torture of forgetting everything and feeling an unknown fear and then suddenly rembering everything, she couldn’t take it anymore. Eventually listening to the Fae, she chooses to kill her life in exchange for ensuring the safety of her daughter.
One night when her husband was away in so important tribe work, she took out a sharp knife and stabbed herself in the stomach. She let out a scream unable to endure the pain. The guards outside hurriedly rushed inside not knowing what had happened.
They took her imdiately to the Healer of the Tribe. She tried her best to delay the inevitable. The news did not take long to reach Hansel’s ears in the small area of the Elven Tribe. He imdiately ran to his wife disregarding everything.
Elayra was already on her last breath considering how much blood she had lost, it was a miracle she was even alive. Hansel rushed into the chamber in panic, he held her hands tightly,
"You? How? Why? how can this happen?"
"You can’t leave alone...."
Hansel was practically pleading, with her wife at this mont. But he knew in his heart it was futile. Elayra’s eyes were barely open, and with all her effort she said the last words,
"Pro..tect....our daughter.....from the.....Fa.e.....Folks." Then she was no more.
Hansel gritted his teeth tears flowed from his eyes like they were a river. His expression beca sad and hollow, sothing within him had died. He kept hugging his dead wife’s body and kept sobbing incessantly. No one said anything to him, they all kept standing without disturbing their leader.
After 1 hour or so, one of the guards tried to interject, "Leader...."
However, the tribe leader cut him off, "QUET" his voice was malevolent and bone-chilling.
The guard took a few steps back in fear of the malevolent voice of their leader. After a few monts, Hansel picked up his wife’s corpse and headed in a certain direction. No one said anything to him this ti in pure fear.
Hansel buried her wife in their favorite place, where they always used to sit and stargaze.
The night sky was just as beautiful as that day, yet to Hansel it looked disgusting and revolting now. Hansel then swore to himself in a spine-chilling voice,
"Fae!!!! Wretched Fae Folks, I will obliterate every single one of you, every single one."
At this mont he was sowhat close to the border of the Fae folks, he thought in his rage, "If only this barrier could be breached." To his surprise, the sound of glass shattering could be heard, and his eyes widened. He could see a small hole in the barrier which for hundreds of years did not even ripple. Unable to hide his disbelief he went closer and closer. Just as he was a few ters away from it.
He could hear 5 enchanting voices talking with each other in slight excitent.
"To think it would be so easy to kill that bitch of the Tribe leader."
"Indeed, she crumbled quite easily."
"I’m not so sure about that."
" It is not that she crumbled too easily, but we were able to attack her weak point."
"Indeed, she loved her daughter too much."
---------
"Since it succeeded, we were able to open a path to their tribe."
"hehe, good bargain."
"Good bargain, hehe."
"hehe."
"We should have done this earlier."

Hansel’s mind went blank hearing the content of their conversation. Boundless rage crept onto his being. With all his might he had to hold himself back, it could simply be a trap to lure him inside of their area, he was not a fool. So, he waited. Like a tiger waiting in the bushes to catch the deer at its weakest, he waited.
A few monts later, they stepped onto the land of true darkness still chatting without a worry in the world. Hansel blended himself into the darkness to not be noticed and was ready to unleash his fury at the ones who took away the most important person in his life.
The mont the 5 Fae folks entered the area of Darkness they froze imdiately, all of their senses stopped working and they were unable to see. Though they all sowhat expected it, they were still surprised by the heavy suppression of the Darkness.
Just as they were ready to activate their skill which would allow them to see and sense again, they felt the threat of extre danger. Hansel by that ti was already a Pathwalker, on the other hand, the Fae Folks in front of him were all third-stage awakened. So, how could they be his match?
One of them could not feel their Hands anymore as they let out a pain-filled scream. All of them activated their skills and now they could sowhat see. To their horror, it was the Elven Tribe leader. Even their Queen had multiple tis warned them of how dangerous this particular elf was.
As if in prior agreent, they all used their mind attack simultaneously on their enemy. Hansel staggered for a mont and forcefully broke it off. His rage was burning too brightly for him to be taken out by petty tricks. The Fae who had their hand cut off got pierced by the sword this ti straight through her brain.
The other 4 Fae were terrified by how easily one of their own had died just like that.
