The colossus broke the chains that bound it, along with Nora who had helped it free itself.

Then, when the sky filled again with golden glows, [Ift] attacked, it was now or never.

It had to attack.

In an instant the giant raised its arm, so that with the sa speed that fist was pushed downward.

The colossus’s fist accelerated toward the ground like a teorite, while heat and fire were compressed in it.

The priest didn’t have ti to move away, that gigantic fist had already fallen on top of him.

All the weight and speed of the colossus fell on that blow.

Millions of tons falling at great speed on soone, it was impossible to survive that.

The shockwave of that clash was imnse, but not only because of the blow’s great power, but because in the sa blow fire and heat were released in an explosion.

The explosion that occurred completely destroyed the ground, sank part of the hill.

The fire and heat spread, lting the ground and completely charring the vegetation.

That had been a monstrous attack, that transford the landscape into an apocalyptic scene of fire and magma.

All the chiras that remained alive were charred instantly, no living being had survived that attack.

Or perhaps one did.

Alioth looked at that destruction, almost with fear.

Had he achieved that?

To be fair, he had only created [Ift].

However, it still ant he had the ability to create creatures with aberrant destructive power.

And without even using the most powerful beasts or gods he knew.

For the first ti, Alioth felt overwheld by his own power.

He wanted to be a mage, that was true, he also wanted to be strong, that was obvious.

However, he had gone from using a sli as a weapon to creating a colossus that could easily destroy a city.

However, there was still sothing that worried him.

That feeling of insecurity remained with him, as if the danger had not yet disappeared.

"He won’t still be alive... right?" the boy wondered with concern.

His head told him it was impossible.

But he also rembered the ease with which he had finished off his invocations.

It was clear he couldn’t be confident, that priest was too dangerous.

Then, a cracking sound caught his attention.

Suddenly, more and more crackings began to be heard, coming from the arm that the colossus had driven into the ground.

Alioth felt a chill.

"It’s not possible..." the young man denied, for him to accept that that priest was still alive was like admitting he was destined to die.

If the priest was capable of surviving that, there was nothing Alioth could do to defeat him.

Then, several golden light glows began to shine in the sky.

Seeing those intense stars of pure light, Alioth knew it.

The combat was far from over.

Then it happened, from [Ift]’s arm giant spikes and blades began to grow, constructed by silver and golden mosaics.

The crystallized keter was growing from inside the rock colossus’s arm, expanding and breaking the rock.

"That was a good move, boy! But you still have a long way to go before you can defeat !" the priest exclaid as the colossus’s arm crumbled, revealing he was intact.

Alioth felt his stomach turn, he was already preparing himself to see the priest alive.

But he didn’t expect that man to remain completely intact.

An attack so powerful it even scared Alioth, hadn’t been enough to even scratch that man.

"I’m cooked," Alioth said, as the light glows beca more intense behind him.

Hundreds of light beams fell on him.

It wasn’t crystallized keter, but pure divine energy, shot in concentrated energy beams that fell like a golden rain.

Alioth knew Svalin wouldn’t be enough to protect him from that attack.

He could only accept his end.

The boy closed his eyes, expecting to die again, but death didn’t co.

"What are you doing, idiot, don’t just stand there! You’re going to die," a familiar voice then exclaid.

Nora had arrived.

The girl had managed to deflect the energy beams with Lævateinn just in ti, saving the boy.

However, the barrage of divine energy shots kept falling on [Ift], punishing its back.

"I-I," Alioth stamred nervously, but then he saw sothing.

Nora hadn’t deflected the attacks entirely, in fact he could see how she had several wounds on her shoulder, side and arm.

"Y-you..." the boy felt his stomach turn, she had been wounded to protect him.

That was a horrible feeling.

"What are you saying now? Focus! We need to jump," the girl said, giving no importance to her wounds.

She agilely took Alioth in her arms, carrying him like a princess, while holding the sword between her teeth.

Then the girl jumped, propelling herself at great speed away from the earth colossus’s head.

Alioth felt them falling at great speed as he watched the colossus continue to be attacked.

Its back was pierced by two giant crystallized keter spears, and just as they jumped its head was pierced by a shining light sword.

Nora landed on the magma ground, leaving a gigantic crater of solidified lava around her.

At the sa ti, the colossus finished falling, practically turning to dust.

Alioth gritted his teeth with frustration seeing how his "masterpiece" was destroyed.

Nora, on the other hand, tilted her head, letting the weapon fall from her mouth to the ground.

She was worried about other things.

"Are you okay, Alu?" the blonde-haired girl then said, with a gentle and concerned voice that comforted Alioth.

The boy looked at her, Nora’s wounds had healed, which comforted him a bit.

"Yes, as good as one could be in this situation," the boy said, sowhat calr.

Hearing those words, the concern vanished from Nora’s face, who abruptly dropped the boy.

"Great, then focus," she said seriously, regaining her composure.

Alioth grabbed his head in pain as he complained.

Why did she have to be so rough with him?

"Ouch, you didn’t have to be so rough, at least warn you’re going to drop ," Alioth complained as he stood up, holding his aching head.

However, Nora didn’t respond, she was on guard with her sword in hand, watching the forest attentively.

"Soone’s approa—"

But Nora couldn’t finish her sentence, a blow was already flying toward her.

When she tried to block it with her sword, Lævateinn broke, and she was sent flying to the side.

Alioth held his breath.

The priest had arrived.
