Capítulo 985: Chapter 820: The Justice-Fueled Fool

Experintal Tower, Tang Qi, holding the Book of Nothingness, also witnessed Walter Cranston’s transformation.

Due to everything that had happened on Hellfire Avenue serving as a prelude, Tang Qi already had a premonition that before Walter entered the Newborn Node, this Earthly God who adhered to the no-kill principle would certainly attempt to change.

But facing the first monster, Walter changed his principle, which was indeed unexpected.

Tang Qi, with the eyes of the Sovereign, watched Walter Cranston bathed in the Holy Light of Justice, surrounded by cheering townsfolk.

His mind still adhered to justice, but his soul experienced a slight, almost imperceptible twist.

A familiar, lancholy sigh suddenly echoed in the laboratory.

“My master, the new follower you selected is about to fall. The key is not in killing or not killing, but in the loss of self, which is fatal.”

“Poor lost lamb, I see the tragic end he’s about to et. He is toyed with by destiny, just like , Fak, unable to resist in any posture…”

“Shut up, Fak.”

Tang Qi’s expression beca more serious; he actually never thought that the second “Dream Seed” selected follower could pass the trial as quickly as Stan Duplessi.

In fact, from Stan’s talent, it is known that the strictness of Dream Kingdom in selecting followers is beyond imagination.

Of the dozens of Dream Seeds released in this second batch, how many Dream Favored can ultimately be harvested, not even Tang Qi, the Pseudo Sovereign, can foresee.

Ten are possible, a few are also possible.

Originally, he thought the birth of the second follower wouldn’t be so quick, but at this mont, he beca more interested and devoted a bit of attention to the “Church’s Insulter” node.

Walter Cranston’s trial had reached a turning point.

After violating his “no-kill principle,” he beca a hero imnsely beloved by the townspeople.

And Saint Confessor Martin Sims did not bla him either.

That is normal; although Martin is one of the Twelve Saints, the lives he has killed are nurous.

The Confession Holy Sword in his hand, usually aning for evil creatures to confess, signifies sending them to hell to repent.

Leaving that small town ravaged by the “brain-eating couple,” the two continued onward.

During the journey, Walter received guidance from Martin Sims, not only on combat skills and the use of Extraordinary Power but more so on familiar Thorny Whip and that irascible old man’s sharp tongue like a sharp blade.

Soon, the two reached the next human gathering point.

This ti they also encountered an evil creature, and the one who solved it was once again Walter Cranston.

After the first ti, the second judgnt and execution beca very natural.

Walter paid no heed to the pleas of the “town governor,” who was sullied and mutated, and instead directly executed him after soliciting the town people’s opinions.

There was still no problem with this; that governor was not only a vile and shaless person who committed nurous cris in the town but also took Secret dicine to beco a bloodthirsty werewolf, needing to eat innocent townsfolk every night.

Killing that governor made Walter’s na start spreading.

Soon, all human gathering points large and small in that region knew that beside the “Saint Confessor” was a young Justice Knight.

Not only powerful but also full of a sense of justice.

A large number of “Demon Hunting Invitations,” “Judgnt Invitations,” and “Guardian Invitations” flew in like snowflakes, and Walter accepted almost all of them.

He entered the desert and killed a rogue serial killer!

Alone, he faced the invading Exotic Realm Race and annihilated them all!

He plunged into the Secret Realm of Demons and wiped out the entire group!

He received intelligence and entered the deep mountains to destroy a hidden village of Fallen!

Ti seed to accelerate, and the scenes within the node changed rapidly.

Walter Cranston’s transformation was equally astonishingly fast; by now, he no longer appeared gaunt and frail as he had initially.

After years of slaughter, he had completed his transformation from an “Ascetic Disciple” to a “Powerful Guardian.”

He wore armor crafted by Extraordinary Craftsn, with a conspicuous emblem on his chest, resembling a broken sword or perhaps a bright white lightning bolt, enveloping his whole being in intense radiance, a light so righteously majestic that it portrayed him like a supre Divine descending to Earth.

He floated above a “Giant City” under construction, for which he also took credit.

He was determined to bring people stable and happy lives, to completely end the era of invasion by Exotic Realm Races, demons, and Fallen Transcendents.

The Giant City, ford by rging over a dozen human gathering points, naturally had its na set as the “City of Justice.”

The life near the City of Justice, whether monsters or other evil creatures, fell into fear and panic, deciding to flee.

The fear of the “Son of Justice” was deeply ingrained in their bones.

The source lies in killing.

Unlike other “guardians” who save humanity, the na Wat Cranston, which is being celebrated throughout the New Continent, represents more of a cold judgnt than protection. As long as you are in chaotic evil and fall into his hands, you will be sentenced to death.

For the humans protected by Wat, this is a good thing as a powerful guardian brings stable order.

Those chaotic and evil beings would rather attack other human settlents and will never appear near the City of Justice.

For a while, the City of Justice, which was under construction, received a large number of applications for entry.

This perfect progression made Wat Cranston seem as if he had undergone a “transformation”, now appearing incredibly steadfast, like a divine being who never makes mistakes, protecting the people and bringing the happiness and peace he had long sought in Black Fire City but could not obtain.

After establishing the city, the next natural step is to arrange the governing system, enact laws, and establish stable and lasting order.

As Wat’s teacher, Martin Sims, who had guided him for a long ti, offered his assistance once more, handing over the ancient “Thorny Law Code” to Wat.

If there are no accidents, Wat Cranston will use these incredible “rits” to surpass his teacher in the future, becoming a more respected saint.

But accidents did occur.

Once the City of Justice was completed, Wat began to expand, believing it was his mission and duty to bring justice and peace to other humans on this New Continent.

He sent invitations to dozens of human settlents further away, so chose to agree, but so chose to refuse, each with their own reasons.

But Wat believed it was the hypocrisy and selfishness of the “upper-class people” who controlled the settlents.

They refused to join in order to continue committing evil acts and enjoy themselves.

After warnings failed, Wat personally entered those settlents, capturing all the upper-class people to be publicly tried in the City of Justice.

The upper-class people did not concede. So hired lawyers, so brought in wise n, and so even appeared in court themselves. They were well-versed in the “Thorny Law Code” and used its contents to counter Wat Cranston’s accusations and even accused Wat of atrocities in return.

Wat could have appeared in court to confront them or consulted the residents of the City of Justice for their opinions. He had the power to and the Codex and introduce better laws.

But he did not. Encouraged by a faction of fervent supporters, Wat chose to enforce judgnt.

The upheaval finally ended with Wat’s comprehensive victory.

The “opponents”, each with their own reasons, were publicly hanged, and the human settlents they governed were forcibly rged into the City of Justice.

The residents who had just begun to experience stable order expressed support for Wat’s rule.

They did not realize that this upheaval exposed Wat to the “weakness” of the Codex, its inapplicability in many situations, and frequent exploitation by opposing entities.

Wat believed that the City of Justice needed higher efficiency.

Therefore, Wat quickly set aside the “Thorny Law Code”, and his every word began to transcend the Codex, gradually replacing its position.

On a certain day when the Codex lost its effectiveness, Martin Sims ca to Wat’s palace.

In front of all his subordinates, the Confessor personally reclaid the Codex, sneering as he brandished the thorns he had not used for a long ti.

“Snap!”

Despite Wat being incredibly powerful, he couldn’t avoid the lash.

Simultaneously, the palace reverberated with the venomous words of the Holy Confessor, a rare trace of anger in his tone.

“You damned, childish, lost fool of an ass, I allowed your foul-slling and arrogant black hooves to touch this Codex, which is my fault, and also the fault of the new blind Sovereign above.”

“Goodbye, foolish ass of justice.”

Having thoroughly insulted his disciple, Martin Sims, while also taking a shot at Tang Qi, turned and disappeared from the City of Justice.

Obviously, he also knew that his Thorny Whip would be ineffective, just like the Thorny Law Code.

Wat Cranston, who had fallen into fanaticism, was incredibly steadfast in believing that his faith was absolute justice.

He began using “violence” and “death” to expand, forcing all opponents, whether outside or within the city, to capitulate to his tyranny; those who didn’t submit died.

The high-pressure order in a short ti brought imnse efficiency and power, but the bottleneck ca quickly.

When the expansion temporarily ceased and those originally scattered forces of chaotic evil began to unite.

The City of Justice had to undergo a trendous trial.

Wat Cranston thought his “justice concept” would make all the city’s residents love and respect him; initially, it was so, but he soon discovered that love and respect turned into… fear.

No one dared to voice even the slightest opposition in front of him, as it ant death.

The prolonged slaughter made Wat forget other ans because he didn’t need them.

Death and violence silenced everyone, preventing them from revealing any dark sides that didn’t match “absolute justice.”

Human beings are inherently a species rich in desire.

To prevent the release of desires from bringing death, the residents of the City of Justice began to suppress themselves. They dared not face the “Son of Justice”, as lofty as a divine being floating above the city, like a volcano stifling an eruption impulse.
