Capítulo 832: Chapter 701: Tiline Reboot (Part 1)
“Gods Battlefield!”
Forty Molten Furnace Wizards, their expressions simultaneously solidified. A flash of shock and excitent crossed their eyes. All forty had only recently beco Transcendents. Despite having completed multiple training tasks, none had participated in a true Extraordinary War yet.
Suddenly, their leader spoke, declaring the mont and place they were at—the highest peak of the Dark Age New Continent. Everyone knew the aning of “Dinari” in the native language of the New Continent: the place closest to the Sky God, the Sun.
In the Mysterious Side, this place, this era, ant that as long as one reached the peak, they could pass through the rift there, entering the Gods Battlefield.
All Transcendents knew what the Gods Battlefield was.
“The ‘Great Catastrophe’ of the Dark Era saw various camps’ Divine beings battling within the mystery. That unprecedented war swept over a large part of the ‘All Spirits’ above the mystery, with almost all Dominator Level Divine beings participating.”
“Back then, the battlefield was littered with Divine corpses, where stray Divine Artifacts drifted freely.”
“Of course, it also represented unimaginable peril, for those below Demigod Level who entered would die instantly in the mont of stepping in due to rampant Divine Pollution, without even seeing the scenes within the battlefield. Even those at Demigod Level would be re cannon fodder in that battlefield.”
“Is Penelope’s sworn enemy inside the Gods Battlefield?”
“But that’s not right, the leader said this space-ti isn’t real Dark Era history, so will this world still face a Great Catastrophe, will there still be a battlefield?”
The Molten Furnace Wizards muttered incoherently, until Tang Qi’s voice rang out.
At this mont, a dark red radiance rose in his eyes, as if he could penetrate the ti-space barrier, see through the engulfing, polluting radiation apocalypse, and behold the scene above the heavens.
“This space-ti might not have the sa Great Catastrophe but a disaster far more terrifying has occurred.”
“Penelope’s sworn enemy is indeed in the battlefield, but perhaps not a single Divine being, rather the entire battlefield itself.”
“That radiation disaster turning the New Continent, and even the entire Origin Star, into a Wasteland World, originates from that new Gods Battlefield. The aftermath of the war turned Origin Star into wasteland.”
“The radiation disaster persists and worsens, indicating…the war continues!”
With each sentence from Tang Qi, the Molten Furnace Wizards’ expressions froze further.
Though terrifying and incredible, Tang Qi’s “guess” seed almost without any loophole; it was perhaps the truth itself.
Even though at this mont, not even he could penetrate that radiation torrent and see clearly if the rift atop Dinari Peak led to the “mysterious,” leading into a Gods Battlefield even more frightening than the Great Catastrophe.
“To uncover the truth, one must venture into the Gods Battlefield just like Martin Sims did in true history…”
Tang Qi’s words hadn’t finished when Penelope, now bloated and foul-slling, moved her body, without hesitation, into the visible torrent of rays pouring from the mountain peak.
The next second, her body paused mid-air.
Through the ti-space barrier, Tang Qi II together with forty Molten Furnace Wizards watched.
The blazing rays and dim dust mixed, forming a “torrent” with unimaginable force. Dinari Peak, once with its own form due to this persistent, unknown-duration torrent wash, had been sculpted into a towering heavenly “Black Heavenly Ladder.”
In Tang Qi’s world, Penelope Vitara, who later could beco a Holy Witch, was at the first step of the heavenly ladder.
Her “Radiation Mutated Body” was undergoing even more terrifying changes.
As the intense radiation dust enveloped, her bloated flesh seed to rot instantly, falling off, revealing a twisted skeleton…on the black roots behind her, those faces of pain mixed with humans and mutant creatures began screaming and howling crazily…
Yet Penelope still moved.
Her eyes, having endured untold pain, could no longer see the clear gaze of the young girl she once was; they were filled with determination, a sort of obsession.
Step by step, she ascended the ladder.
The flesh that fell from her reconvened with the magical power bursting from within her.
But imdiately afterwards, the second round of “tornt” was set to begin.
And then a third, fourth, fifth round…everyone fell silent; as close observers, they could clearly see what reaction was taking place on Penelope’s body as the radiation torrent swept over.
If one were to compare, it was like a tender body being scrubbed by steel blades, the pain about to engulf Penelope’s youthful soul.
Yet she, still, stepped forward once more.
However, as she was about to step onto the second tier, an imnsely large, imposing figure appeared before her.
“Ah!”
Inside the ti-space barrier, Tang Qi heard the cheers from Aili, Annie, and others.
It appeared!
Enduring for months, maybe years, even decades, the trendously timid “Jile” finally couldn’t bear to let Penelope endure a second round of tornt. He stood on the steps, blocking the torrent, like a towering mountain, isolating all harm outside.
Unsightly, bloated Penelope slowly raised her head.
In her eyes, a giant figure was reflected.
She should have felt unfamiliar because at this ti, Jile had already grown into a true “Dom Giant.”
He no longer had the ugliness and abnormality of his juvenile stage, even though his head was still bizarre, covered with tentacles and eyeballs. That commanding and grand aura made him closer to a Divine than an evil ugly giant.
“Jile!”
After the tornt of long years, Penelope was no longer a girl. She had turned into a monster, her voice coarse and unpleasant, causing disgust.
Yet in Jile’s ears, it was more lodious than celestial music.
Everyone watched as Jile’s tentacles on his jaw curled back one by one, and the eyeballs also reacted. But unlike the previous ti, now Jile exuded a pure joy, a delight from the depths of his soul.
“Roar!”
Having beco a true Dom Giant, Jile could no longer emit the cute “cheep cheep” sound of his juvenile stages.
His roar even caused a montary pause in the rushing wave of radiation.
In that mont, Jile embraced Penelope, his tentacles transforming into a protective barrier, securely fastening her to him, and then he moved.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Atop the highest peak of the New Continent, transford into a “Black Heavenly Ladder,” a giant was climbing the massive steps against the “Radiation Disaster flow.”
“He looks like a knight.”
The most sensitive among the Molten Furnace Wizards, Aili, clenched her fists tightly, earnestly cheering for Jile.
Tang Qi, and the Molten Furnace Wizards who vaguely guessed sothing, watched this scene in silence.
Especially Tang Qi, before entering this “Ti Air Bubble,” he had sensed sothing from the information fragnts on the paper scraps.
“What this space-ti records is probably a tragedy.”
When he thought of that, Aili and Annie cheered again.
The mature-stage Dom Giant indeed possessed Demigod-level combat power, especially when Jile’s body was also equipped with the Confession Sword and Divine Thorns. He successfully ascended against the flow, about to reach the summit of the New Continent.
Before him lay the endpoint.
And there, just as Tang Qi said, a crack had appeared.
No, it looked more like a portal.
At the peak of the Black Heavenly Ladder, radiation dust more intense than any area of the Wasteland World poured out from the opened “mysterious” space, concealing everything, including the scenery behind the portal.
Holding Penelope, Jile was about to dash into that portal.
But at that mont, an unforeseen change occurred that no one anticipated.
Sizzle!
An “alien object” accompanied by dust drilled out of the portal, eting Jile head-on.
In everyone’s eyes, the clear image appeared:
The alien object seed like a part of so weapon, resembling a long fragnt, with a dark body like black crystal, engraved with countless soul-chilling symbols, releasing a Divine Aura that crushed all living beings.
It was from a Divine Artifact!
This thought erged in everyone’s mind as they watched the “Divine Artifact Fragnt,” resembling a black crystal spear, effortlessly cut through the Dom Giant’s incredibly tough skin, piercing his flesh, with a “bang” sound.
Jile was pinned before the mysterious portal.
“Roar”
A roar of extre pain escaped from the Dom Giant’s mouth.
Even more terrifying was Jile’s body, which began to disappear in an instant. His demigod body was being erased bit by bit like being scrubbed by an eraser. The nurous eyeballs on his head flashed with light, but powerless to stop what was happening.
The tentacles turned into black ashes, falling down, as Penelope’s body dropped and was caught by a pair of large hands.
Jile, holding his mistress in both hands, moved her bit by bit towards the mysterious portal.
His body was turning into dust and dissipating, but he didn’t make any more sounds. He held Penelope, and in each of his eyeballs, the light was dimming, unveiling the last scene within:
The young Penelope, upon a cliff, discovered Jile who had unexpectedly arrived on Origin Star. At that ti, he was an ugly little tadpole, yet the girl, like discovering a treasure, cupped him in her hands and ran to her parents.
“Fulfill the mistress’s wish, fulfill it.”
Jile, with a soul-shouting cry, poured all his strength into his hands. As his head was about to vanish, one final eye remained, looking towards Penelope one last ti.
But this ti, he saw not the Penelope with a lingering obsession, not the grotesque girl who after long years never looked back at the “Shadow” following her, not the one crazily devouring mutated creatures yet determined to go forward. She no longer insanely wanted to enter the mysterious portal to see the source of hatred and catastrophe.
At the last second… she turned back.
