Chapter 781: Chapter 657: The Colors of Myth and Epic
In the Forest of Tatalia, the demons no longer shared their previous joy. As Extraordinary Creatures, they were utterly unable to contain their fear at this mont, struggling to lift their heads bit by bit, peering into the pitch-black night sky where the Bright Kingdom had vanished.
They saw them, a pair of eyes, slowly opening.
No one could describe what those eyes looked like. At the mont of being watched, almost all Transcendents felt their souls quiver, as if their bodies and minds were burning themselves, shedding Blood Tears from the corners of their eyes, involuntarily dropping their heads again.
In their minds, an idea was born.
Divine beings must not be looked at directly!
That was not the “Light”, it was another Divine entity.
Just before they bowed their heads for the last ti, they saw one pair of eyes after another, unknowable, unasurable, and unviewable, opening in the boundless heights of Nihility, each containing an unspeakable horror.
The Bright Kingdom was opened by the Believers, and it faced the dreadful impact of the Origin Star, almost instantly obliterated.
The billions of people without Extraordinary Power, upon the opening of those eyes, seed to be collectively cast with an Illusion Spell, no longer desiring the miracles of the Lord of Light; they continued with their lives as they were.
And the Transcendents, aside from a very few, all lowered their heads.
A ludicrous yet vividly real sensation erged deep within their souls.
“At this mont, the Origin Star is being observed by All Spirits Above Mystery, not all of whom may have awakened, but they would not allow the Lord of Light to show miracles potent enough to change the faith of billions of Origin Star Humans, they are both Destroyers and witnesses.”
“And on the Origin Star, no matter how powerful the Transcendents are, they are but insignificant ants by the roadside and weak Mayflies in the water, observed by those indescribable All Spirits Above Mystery.”
…
Who could have imagined?
Such a bizarre and terrifying change would occur during the Light Festival, first with no preparation ti given to the Transcendents, the Bright Kingdom descended suddenly.
Just as the Transcendents of the Origin Star were preparing to glimpse the majesty of the “Light,” the “All Spirits Above Mystery” collectively turned their gaze.
At this mont, all Transcendents could only bow their heads.
Dare not move!
Nor dare to look up!
But their thoughts were still active, and more doubts erged.
How many of the Mysterious All Spirits have awakened?
What do they intend to do?
And what will the Lord of Light do?
As one of the rare “exceptions,” Tang Qi did not lower his head, he calmly observed the Origin Star at this mont, his eyes not filled with much doubt, nor many fearso feelings, as if he could see through the genuine nature under this unprecedented grand scene.
“They have not all awakened!”
“Even the Lord of Light needs the Light Festival, when faith boils over, to truly wake up, and other Divine entities struggle even more so, although if other Dominator-level Gods could awaken alongside Light, they would definitely be trendously weak, unable to imdiately cause a Great Catastrophe level change or War.”
As Tang Qi’s thoughts drifted, his eyes seed to reflect much of the Federation’s landscape, the world becoming colorful, various Extraordinary Elents invisible to the naked eye becoming active, seemingly welcoming the descent of the “All Spirits.”
But those pairs of eyes watching over the Earth did not respond, nor seed able to respond.
“They seem more like being invited to witness sothing…?”
Just as this thought erged in Tang Qi’s mind, imdiately more inspiration followed; his eyes, as if containing a “Dream Kingdom,” suddenly looked towards the heavens above, where the Bright Kingdom still existed, seemingly making room at center stage, but never leaving.
It remained above the Origin Star, but it seed wary of sothing, separated by a barrier, sacred, pure Radiance cascading down, vaguely revealing a majestic portal, and in front of that portal, so great change seed to be taking place.
From the Radiance cascading down from within the Kingdom, mixed with pieces of snowy white feathers, responding to the chanting of the nurous Bright believers on the land below, specks of sacred light from all around the world converged, outlining sothing in front of the portal.
Soon, an outline that Tang Qi found sowhat familiar materialized.
“What is that?”
“Boom! Boom! Boom!”
Not only Tang Qi, but other few Big Shots also saw the gradually forming figure.
He, like Tang Qi and Rafael, was one of the absolute main characters of the recent “Thorn Event”, even his performance duration was the longest.
He was a middle-aged man, noble yet cold, wearing an incredibly intricate and gorgeous golden Vestnt robe, blood-red gloves and shoes; his fingers adorned with rings inlaid with various gemstones, his head crowned with what seed like countless different types of Crown stacked together, inlaid with gemstones, gold, symbolizing the supre authority of the Light Crown.
“Charles I!”
All of a sudden, including Tang Qi, the heads of the Big Shots buzzed.
All kinds of incredulous thoughts surged like a tsunami, swept like a typhoon.
How could it be possible? Charles I sacrificed himself, the real him was truly dead, and his body was completely transford into the “Fallen Lord,” banished to so unknown Exotic Realm, impossible to be resurrected.
Big Shots were almost beside themselves, heedless of potential dangers, incessantly staring at the sky, right before the portal.
Charles I, resurrected, remained cold and noble, yet inexplicably also exuded an aura of tranquility.
Behind him, when the first pair of snow-white wings that only Angels possess were born, Holy Light and feathers continuously intertwined and gathered, endlessly sprouting wings one after another.
A wondrous enlightennt, unbidden, sprung uncontrollably deep within the minds of the Big Shots.
And then, they all heard it.
From within the Bright Kingdom, obscured yet great, separated by a barrier from the Origin Star, ca a voice, supre and transcendent, gentle yet sacred.
In the minds of all Transcendents, echoed an oracle, utterly sacred and imnse.
“I declare, this is the beginning of the new Holy Epoch Book.”
“I have awakened from my slumber. I have seen a king, leader of believers, bearing their sins, pain, betrayal… and yet, at his death, he was invoking my na.”
“I declare, he shall return from the land of the Dead, he shall ascend to my kingdom, he shall beco king of Angels, he will guide the bewildered believers, he will be the diator of disputes, he will be the judge of sins.”
“Whoever follows him, chanting my na, will receive my blessing.”
While the oracle recited, everyone visualized the power that Charles I was receiving.
Holy Radiance shone upon him, resurrecting him.
He was to enter the Bright Kingdom, becoming Guiding, Judging, and Judgent Angel, as well as the king of the Angels.
Silently, Charles I opened his eyes.
In his left hand, he held a staff inscribed with wondrous symbols, and in his right, he wielded a Judgnt Sword, before him lay a terrifying Golden Balance.
Across the Earth, in every Church, in every family, atop the heads of all Bright believers, a gap opened, pure light poured down, bestowing peace and health upon them.
Among these believers, so received even more gifts.
They were ardent supporters of Charles I; tears in their eyes, they lay prostrate on the dusty ground, chanting the na “Light.”
Tang Qi, the Big Shots, and other Transcendents numbly and shockingly watched this scene.
A miracle?
No, it was more like a whole new myth, an epic being enacted.
At this mont, Origin Star seed dyed in unimaginable, fantastical hues; a myth was taking place, recorded by a scroll called “New Holy Era Book” within the Light Camp.
The night before, it was its prelude.
Engulfed in it, Tang Qi, along with giant mysterious eyes above, watched the resurrected Charles I, not knowing what he saw, a mocking smile gradually forming at the corners of his mouth.
He blinked, chuckling softly: “As usual, since there has been a gift, what should co next… punishnt?”
Tang Qi seed to pre-empt the storyline, just as his words fell.
Charles I suddenly raised his head, his gaze reverent towards the great portal inside, as if eyeing a supre being, initially overwheld with joy, then seemingly troubled, his expression turning puzzled and sorrowful.
He raised his staff, clutching the Holy Sword and the Balance, asking in a voice all Transcendents could hear:
“Bright My Lord, if Your brother betrayed You, would You forgive him?”
“Thunderous!”
As this question erged, along with Transcendents of the Light Camp, all Transcendents were stunned, sensing an even deeper surge of mythical and epic essence, heralding the rise of the next “main character,” another Dominator-level Divine Being.
The brother of the Light, ah, the forr brother, the Lord of Thorns.
The question by Charles I naturally corresponded to the recent Thorn Event.
Everyone eagerly awaited the answer from the Lord of Light, determining whether a fearso war concerning both Divine Systems would erupt instantaneously.
Tang Qi was among them, sure that Rafael too, was watching all this from sowhere “Mysterious.”
In their minds, they even drafted a chapter title for the Light Camp.
New Holy Epoch Book, the second response.
Guiding, Judging, and Judgent Angel asked: “Bright My Lord, if Your brother betrayed You, would You forgive him?”
The Light decreed through oracle, responding:
“The old covenant says: Vengeance is mine; I will repay.”
“New Holy Epoch Book, I declare, there has been a misunderstanding between my brother and . I do not need to resolve it; I will banish Him from the realm of Light, He will fall to Earth, wearing the garb nad ‘Truth’…”
ps: This chapter took four hours to write, I don’t know how the effect is, pitiful Fat Fish seeking a monthly ticket. Also, I’ve revised the previous chapter, adding a thousand words, it’s free, everyone can go look again.
