Chapter 265: 265

“It looks beautiful, but bringing the Red Rhino to the dinner party, isn’t that a bit inappropriate?”

Tang Qi had just shifted his gaze away from that creamy whiteness when he imdiately saw Stanna slightly bending over, lifting her gown a bit to reveal a pair of outrageously long legs, and then reached down to her thigh to unfasten a gun holster.

The exaggerated Red Rhino landed on the table with a “pop”.

This scene showed that even attending a farewell dinner, Stanna did not forget her role as a sheriff.

Influenced by many television shows in his past life, as soon as Tang Qi saw this scene, his mind conjured up nurous images of female action movies, very natural and powerfully impactful.

On the other hand, Stanna gave a justified reason: “As a qualified sheriff, I should never be separated from my sidearm, especially in a crowded situation.”

After showing off her extrely beautiful side, Stanna switched into another role.

The chef, a clueless chef!

Tang Qi stared with wide eyes as Stanna, as previously agreed, put on a clearly newly purchased apron without even changing her gown, and thus decked out in such an odd ensemble for battle.

If it weren’t for her then handling a bunch of cooking materials single-handedly, this scene would look more like a photoshoot rather than actual cooking.

Midway, Tang Qi wanted to help, but was rcilessly kicked out by Stanna.

The sisterly sheriff was quite stubborn; if cooking was agreed upon, it had to be done personally.

Tang Qi watched Stanna fumble and bumble into “cooking mode” and couldn’t help but sigh.

It wasn’t that he was worried about Stanna getting hurt, for after learning the “Monster Power Technique,” Stanna was no longer a re human or Contactor, but a genuine Transcendent.

What Tang Qi really worried about was his stomach.

While Stanna, wearing her gown and apron, frantically worked on dinner, Tang Qi leisurely appreciated the apartnt before him.

It was rather as he expected.

This apartnt, as Stanna’s residence, had a style leaning towards cool, with furniture tending towards minimalism. However, there were also so differences, such as the fiery red sofa or the wild-style oil paintings hanging on the walls.

Although he was sowhat interested in discovering different details, it was, after all, just an apartnt. Tang Qi looked over it several tis, and out of boredom, he couldn’t help but glance towards Stanna’s bedroom by the ti dinner was finally ready.

By then, it was nightti, and Stanna ntioned that several lights in the apartnt were broken, only a sowhat dim one remained functional.

The two moved the dining table next to the window, dining under the dim Purple Moon Radiance, making it akin to a candlelit dinner.

Only, compared to other candlelit dinners, there were quite a few dishes in front of them now; Tang Qi saw caviar, red wine roast steak, fruit pies, roasted potatoes, char-grilled Manla sausages, cocoa seafood salad…and the accompanying wine, which Tang Qi rembered to be a famous grape wine from a well-known winery.

This further confird that Stanna’s family background was not ordinary.

Otherwise, even as a sheriff, this table full of dishes would likely cost her several months’ salary.

Surprisingly, although entering cooking was quite chaotic, the outco presented now looked rather good.

With expectations, Tang Qi chose his first dish, what seed the safer “char-grilled Manla sausage”.

Like the Snowflake Rabbit at he tasted before, Manla sausage was also a magical food, rumored to give a taste of the fiery Exotic Realm after eating.

However, when Tang Qi put the blood-colored sausage at in his mouth, the first thing he tasted wasn’t the Exotic Realm flair but a mix of a burnt and earthy taste, like swallowing a charred lump of mud.

Initially intending to spit it out, Tang Qi looked up and saw Stanna’s expectant face.

Then, looking at her white arm squeezing the wine glass, he suddenly felt that he taught Stanna the “Monster Power Technique” too early.

With a gulp, he swallowed the sausage at down.

“I asked casually, ‘Aren’t you eating? This is the fruit of your hard work.'”

Stanna smiled and said, “I already ate at the dinner, these are all prepared for you, I’ve been learning for several days.”

Tang Qi: “…”

After about ten or so minutes, a faint purple moonlight stread in through the window, and almost every plate on the dining table was cleared.

Stanna had a radiant smile on her face, while Tang Qi bore an expression of “satisfaction.”

If soone were to appear behind Tang Qi at this mont, they would see a backpack placed to the side spilling out a limp, faintly trembling bright red tongue, seemingly issuing an unspoken complaint.

“I will be leaving sser City tomorrow, most likely starting with an assessnt from the Bright Church,” he said.

Seeing that, a trace of the smile faded from Stanna’s face as she looked seriously at Tang Qi.

The ti for their farewell had arrived.

Tang Qi’s expression also tightened; this was perhaps the first ti since his rebirth into this world that he felt emotions other than those related to cultivation.

For the first ti, Tang Qi felt he was gradually blending into this world.

He was no longer rely surviving in this foreign world under the na of his “original self.”

Although appearing young and delicate, in terms of ntal age, Tang Qi was essentially a peer to Stanna. Unlike his sowhat sisterly or disciple-like treatnt towards Sally, he saw Stanna more as a genuine female friend.

Feeling his first intimate relationship about to depart, Tang Qi indeed felt a sense of “reluctance.”

However, he soon suppressed those feelings.

With a brilliant smile, he confidently said, “You will definitely pass the assessnt.”

“Besides, I have a feeling we’ll et again soon.”

“Really?”

“Yes!”

Tang Qi’s premonition was indeed true; following a recent period of monotonous cultivation, his strength had greatly increased, then stabilized.

Continuing in sser City was clearly not the wise move.

Yet, Tang Qi didn’t disclose his actual reasons, nor did Stanna ask. Only after receiving a positive response, did that radiant smile reappear on her face.

Snap!

Tang Qi’s figure reappeared on the streets of Blank District, his mind still haunted by the image brought about by the cold night air.

After cleaning up the dinner table, deep into the night, it was Stanna’s ti for a bath. The scene of Stanna, still in her apron and high heels, leisurely entering the bathroom as she removed them unfolded in his mind…

Standing at the street corner, Tang Qi couldn’t help but utter, “I’m still just a kid!”

Of course, Tang Qi did not think Stanna intended to do sothing deliberately with such an allure; with his young body and mature soul.

Sally, as a “senior,” could discern this and treated him like a little sister or disciple. Stanna, being the “Criminal Buster,” would surely be aware of it too.

After a few interactions, they probably started treating each other like peers.

The recent “temptation” was probably just a bit of mischief from the Chief Officer Stanna, though it’s unclear where she picked up this mischievous streak.
