Chapter 485: Chapter 460: Running Fast

On the yellow-brown earth, as the Earth Mother Witches, Puppet Masters, warriors, and Mamba elders rushed over, except for the old man who took Secret dicine in ti, the other three imdiately began to vomit upon setting their eyes on the “Corrupting Pyramid.”

Looking at their pupils at this mont, one could see them violently constrict, a clear sign of the assault their minds were undergoing.

The swaying green hair, rotting flesh, and the various swelling, burgeoning things, replete with unknowable, madness-tinged human faces, were rampaging within their psyches.

“What is this?”

The group struggled to their feet, suppressing the distortion and nausea in their minds.

Their question left Reina Svendun, the “authority of knowledge,” also at a loss for words.

The Sky Tower? The pyramid ntioned in the records, used for offering rituals to the Sky God, was supposed to be filled with supre dignity, sacred and inviolable. How could it possibly look like this grotesque thing?

Just when Reina was unsure of what to say, the real disaster arrived behind them.

Dozens of “Visares,” after the group approached the “Corrupting Pyramid,” closed in quickly and eerily then ca to a standstill.

This scene brought no comfort to the group.

On the contrary, a terrifying sense of imminent danger began to grow wildly.

Even Tang Qi felt uneasy at this mont, his scalp tingling as if it were being pricked by needles.

The premonition turned into reality in an instant.

Bang!

The first muffled sound erupted behind them.

That was a “Visares.” It disintegrated—the desiccated giant skeleton, abdominal sac, Flesh Wings… as if dismantled by so unseen force, detaching one after the other, not falling to the ground but eerily floating in mid-air.

The other parts, everyone had seen before.

But only that “abdominal sac,” which had always been concealed by the skeleton, had never been clearly seen.

This ti, however, all seven saw it clearly. Within the black, coarse exterior appeared a pale gold, silver-white hue, revealing a complicated and delicate chanical structure without a doubt.

At a glance from a far-off distance, a thought arose in each of their minds.

Reina Svendun regained her excitent and murmured.

“In the myths about the Mayans, they not only achieved extraordinary accomplishnts in the arts of Secret dicine and construction but also in casting… We thought Visares was a biological Puppet—now it seems they belong to the chanical faction’s creations.”

“Could they now be planning to…”

“Thud, thud, thud!”

While the female adventurer unconsciously shared this, all the Visares disintegrated at the sa mont.

The sky filled with floating skeletons, abdominal sacs, Flesh Wings all converging… They began to amalgamate, and within the ancient city, a massive thing gradually stood tall, resembling a “Bone Ring.” Its core was a desiccated giant bone, the frawork was cold tal, and human corpses adorned it.

Complex symbols, patterns filled with magic fluctuations and ghost lights gushed out rapidly. Blood Eyes flew into the central core, where a giant skull was located. Inside its wide-open mouth, a red glow began to light up.

Boom!

A thick red light descended through the air.

The Visares Army vanished, replaced by a “chanical Cannon” that locked onto the seven people from afar. The pressure it brought was far more terrifying than the previous Visares, and even Tang Qi felt an intense threat.

“Far beyond Professional Level, impossible to resist!”

The subconscious judgnt erged in everyone’s minds.

The red light swept over the seven in an instant, displaying a clear scanning intention.

“It’s determining the strongest among us!”

It was Reina Svendun who exclaid in shock.

In Tang Qi’s eyes, it was imdiately apparent that, apart from himself, the other six began to use their abilities to reduce their own strength’s aura.

“Too realistic… In the Extraordinary World version of ‘’, I don’t need to run faster than a bear, just faster than others?”

Once again faced with the harsh reality of the Mysterious Side, Tang Qi had a few sarcastic comnts but could do nothing more. He had already concealed his strength to the weakest among the group, unable to lower it further.

Moreover, aside from the “Illusion Spell,” Diana’s Corpse also released the corresponding Magic Power.

If he was still pointed out despite this, Tang Qi would have to fight with all his might.

The cannon, ford from the fusion of dozens of Visares, also put considerable pressure on him.

Tang Qi focused his gaze, and a special image ford.

“Curios: Special Visares Blood Cannon, when energy is about to deplete and the invaders cannot be dealt with, the Visares Army triggers its final primitive command. This command’s authority overrides all other restrictions; it will disregard everything and obliterate the invaders. According to the combat rules, it will select the strongest from the scan feedback…”

“Target selected!”

“Boom!”

There was no delay; from its appearance to the firing of the first bomb, it lasted only a matter of seconds.

The selected target turned out to be the Earth Mother Witch.

“No!”

Beneath the green Witch Robe, a voice filled with fear erupted.

Within her body, a torrent of Magic Power was released, instantly shattering the Witch Robe and revealing a horrifying sight. There stood an almost naked, glamorous woman, her thighs, wrists, and chest entwined with vines and greenery, with fiery red lips and hair green as if imbued with life.

If Tang Qi’s Promotion to the apprenticeship Realm of the Original Secret dicine School brought him closer to the essence of Nature,

Then this Witch had drawn from Nature its beauty, seduction, and deadly poisons. She was like a delicate but toxic rose that could both delight and deliver Death.

Unfortunately, before she could do anything else, she faced Death herself.

She sensed an imminent catastrophe and, with no ti for other asures, let out a scream followed by an explosion of green Magic Power. A bizarre “Plant” sprouted from her neck, rapidly growing, blossoming, bearing Fruit… Concurrently, her body transford from a seductive woman toward an old crone, her green hair withering into straw, her taut, tender skin becoming like a mummified Corpse.

These visuals played out as if the “acceleration key” had been pressed, all within half a breath.

Paying such a grave price, she spawned three pieces of Fruit from the eerie plant, which then exploded in a “boom.”

The next second, a flash of Blood Light swept through.

The Earth Mother Witch’s remaining Corpse turned to ash.

In the air, three pieces of Fruit split open, and from within each erged a sprite-like green-haired girl, a woman half-human and half-Plant with red hair, and an old crone covered in pus and scars; each figure chose different directions to escape.

“A peculiar escape witchcraft; all three bodies are real and have inherited a portion of the original Witch’s Extraordinary Power?”

“Boom! Boom! Boom!”

Tang Qi had just begun marveling in his heart when,

Almost simultaneously, at the other end of the ancient city, flashes of Blood Light, nearly impossible to capture, flickered thrice.

In the next second, before everyone’s eyes,

All three figures disappeared.

“Dead?”

When everyone confird the Earth Mother Witch’s life essence had completely vanished, an unprecedented Fear swept over them.

Even “Professional Level” individuals like Reina Swinton and Timothy looked extrely troubled.

Their thods of concealing strength were no less covert than Tang Qi’s.

But fleeing was rely a temporary strategy.

The original command of the “Visares Blood Cannon” was to obliterate all invaders.

Unfortunately, every person present was an invader.

Given the sheer power displayed by the Blood Cannon, even if it systematically killed each individual one by one, it would not take more than a minute.

“Run!”

As the intense Blood Light scanned across them again, aside from Tang Qi, the others had only one thought in their minds.

“What about the so-called ‘historical truth,’ ‘treasures,’ ‘Mayan legacy’…” In comparison with their own lives, all of these seed trivial.

While fleeing, the five chose different paths.

Reina Swinton and Timothy chose the Heavenly Pit beneath the Corruption Tower with great tacit understanding.

The Puppet Master, the Mamba elder, and the Extraordinary Warrior each sought different directions to find other routes of escape.

Their reasoning likely stemd from their observation of the Heavenly Pit.

“The ashen impact that shrouds the entire relic and lends this place a dark, oppressive ambiance is probably from so object that collided with the Earth, possibly also causing the demise of the Mayans; looking at the interior of the relic, that object must be right under the Heavenly Pit.”

“The instinctual choice of the three to distance themselves from the effects of the Corruption Tower, even if it ans struggling for survival under the Visares Blood Cannon?”

“Ten minutes, that really is a long ti.”

Tang Qi montarily suppressed his thoughts, turned to look as the fierce red light, after its pass, at last, focused on the Extraordinary Warrior.

Unlike the Earth Mother Witch, who attempted to flee after being targeted, the Extraordinary Warrior nad “Haisen” from the War God Sect, upon feeling the red light locking onto him, halted his escaping body, his deep eyes surging with a will to combat.

“Ulalala!”

The long-haired warrior roared towards the sky as countless ghost light spears surged from his tattoo, like a violent storm, sweeping toward the distant “Visares Blood Cannon.”

He himself lowered his knees, and then, like a Bomb, he had a spear in hand as he smashed towards the Blood Cannon.

Before the “Visares Blood Cannon,” Haisen’s strength was less than that of the Earth Mother Witch, but the force he exhibited at that mont compelled even Tang Qi to take notice.

Tang Qi pondered montarily and, as the Blood Light flashed again, suddenly called out to the others.

“The Mayan Ancient Books record that the Sky Tower possesses self-Purification capabilities. Just wait a few more minutes, and the purified Sky Tower will be a safe path.”

This abrupt “hint” gave the few who were in despair a glimr of hope.

Hope and skepticism rose together.

Tang Qi didn’t further prompt, but the key information was enough for the seasoned Transcendents to know what they should do.

“Delay its detection, let’s work together.”

Unexpectedly, the first to speak up was the elder from the Mamba Secret dicine School.

The old man stopped his escape and after giving Tang Qi a serious look, he gritted his teeth, pulled out a glass bottle from his chest, which contained bubbling black liquid; isolated by the custom glass bottle, but when Tang Qi’s gaze swept over it, he imdiately felt a violent presence brewing within.
