Chapter 420: Chapter 404: Ghost and Fragnts
So uncontrollable, under the cold wind, Tang Qi shivered, and an ominous premonition of madness began to grow. With his current physical strength still able to make him feel the cold breath?
Just as Tang Qi’s complexion changed, he imdiately began to sense the location of Professor Eva.
Boom!
A storm ripple suddenly released in the distance.
The murky white Witch Power tangled with the eerie blue light, surging out in all directions.
The forr was evidently in a state of suppression.
The source of that Witch Power felt incredibly familiar to Tang Qi.
“Huff”
Tang Qi turned into a Fog Arrow, shooting towards the source of the storm at his greatest speed.
However, the next mont, the scene that ca into his sight made Tang Qi’s body tremble, and endless rage instantly ignited within him.
He was too late!
Just a few breaths before Tang Qi arrived here:
In front of a tombstone, one real and one blurry figure were confronting each other, with terrible forces radiating out from that center.
But this confrontation lasted for just a few breaths.
The opponent was not the kind of Transcendent who could entangle for a long ti even if less powerful—it was a mysterious, horrific Extraordinary Creature. It seed to be just a contour shadow, entirely in ghostly blue, and the radiation pouring from its body caused the surrounding light to twist and disappear for unknown reasons.
Before this, Professor Eva had had no previous encounters with this Extraordinary Creature; she was rely here to mourn her lover, and as tears flowed, a strong premonition of danger also swept through her mind.
She instinctively released a Witch Magic Tide, trying to push back the source of danger.
But unfortunately, as she turned around, a ghostly blue contour suddenly appeared, grabbed her arm, and forced her to look into its eyes.
Eva tried to resist, but after their eyes t, her resistance beca ineffective.
In the depths of her heart, in her mind, mories of her lover kept erging—those precious monts that brought smiles to her face. Yet soon these happy mories were torn apart, and the horrific death of her lover, followed by her own withdrawal and cowardice, turned into sorrow, constantly tornting her soul.
A strong impulse for self-destruction was born.
This impulse was so strong that Professor Eva had already started to activate the witchcraft ‘Magic Self-Destruction’ to the halfway point.
But suddenly, a naless courage arose. She suddenly rembered that apart from being a lover, she was also a teacher, the faces of her students flashed by, and Eva recalled that she had many responsibilities to take on.
Compared to the sorrow, this courage was extrely frail.
But at this mont, this sliver of courage was priceless.
Because it finally shattered the last bit of hesitation in Professor Eva’s heart, her reason for choosing to visit her lover’s grave today was also ant as a farewell to the past. She wanted to beco a qualified teacher, a qualified professor.
“Now, it is the best ti, isn’t it?”
On Eva’s face, tears seed to flood over, but the corners of her mouth pulled into a determined smile.
Then in an instant, her Magic Power “bood,” exploding completely.
Like a vast ocean of white Magic Power, Eva turned into a “Light Man,” and above her head, a peculiar gap appeared, showing the boundless universe, endless, with no boundaries, filled with nurous bizarre, unimaginable things.
Her soul, detached from her body, slowly entered into it.
Professional Trial!
Nobody could imagine that soone would choose to break through accumulations during combat, undertake a Professional Level Trial, leaving behind a re shell, while the soul entered the “Mysterious.”
Even the Sad Ghost was stunned for a mont.
At this ti, a blurry figure approached.
Tang Qi arrived, and intense ghost light poured from Eva’s body, letting him know that his professor had ultimately made her choice.
Although Tang Qi could see that this was what Professor Eva wanted to do,
The rage in his heart could still not be concealed.
To undertake a trial willingly and to be forced into the mysterious, the two are fundantally different.
Like a specter, Tang Qi appeared behind the shape-only ghost.
Almost at the sa mont, the ghost sensed the danger behind it.
It didn’t turn around, nor did it look back; instead, its front and back switched places, and Tang Qi watched as the back of its head blossod with light, and the outlines of dreadful facial features faintly erged, a pair of eyes capable of plunging one into utmost sorrow looked his way.
Being sneak-attacked, the Sad Ghost was not at all panicked; it often encountered similar situations when being besieged in the past.
Each ti, it won.
Even beings at the Professional Level couldn’t withstand its gaze.
After falling into sorrow, one would destroy oneself.
That witch was an exception; she chose to enter the “Mysterious,” a realm beyond the reach of its power.
The new Transcendent that appeared was stronger than the witch, killing it would yield a greater harvest.
The ghostly light on the Sad Ghost beca a bit more real.
But the next mont, the sorrowful gaze it expected did not appear; what it saw instead was a pair of eyes that first shimred with specks of Golden Light, followed by a frenzy of Light Flas surging forth, and a terrifyingly imnse Sun projection abruptly erged within them.
“Judgent!”
It heard an angry, chilling voice surging with rage.
“Ah~”
“Sizzle”
A scene that had never occurred before unfolded before Tang Qi’s eyes.
A bluish silhouette, like a mist bathed in searing sunlight, dissipated with a sizzle amid a wail that evoked sorrow. Yet what was inside was not void; the disappearing Sad Ghost, like a monster shedding its skin, wrapped another thing within it, which gradually erged in Tang Qi’s sight.
It was a small, lustrous shard, bluish in hue, hemispherical in shape—emanating an aura that could only belong to the Divine, surging and overflowing from it.
“Boom!”
The palpitations he once felt now seized Tang Qi’s heart.
The commotion from the Furnace Projection!
When Tang Qi acquired the “Sacrifice thod,” the intelligent program of the Furnace Projection had yearned for the “Abyssal Soap Bubble” he had encountered and had even desired the Dark Dominator, this legitimate Exotic Realm Monster, with greater intensity.
Now, this yearning descended once more.
Tang Qi imdiately realized why, as his gaze sharply focused, his hand also shot out decisively.
Swoosh!
Unquestionably, the shard sought to flee.
It seed to sense the presence of its natural enemy and should have chosen the next “Host”—Tang Qi being the only possible choice in the arena.
But at this mont, it began to tremble swiftly, and sharp edges burst forth little dots of blue light, slashing open the space, ready to escape into it the next second, to disappear completely within this graveyard.
But the next instant, Tang Qi’s fair palm, wrought with Giant Force, forcibly shattered the space ripple born, and then the lting Furnace Power erupted, capturing the shard in his palm.
In a blink, Tang Qi’s entire arm turned ghostly blue, the veins, muscles, and even the bones beneath the skin all visibly outlined. Simultaneously, an indescribable sorrow swept over him, giving Tang Qi a strong impulse to destroy himself.
Regrettably for him, this impulse was thoroughly incinerated by the automatically erupting lting Furnace Power.
“Sacrifice!”
As these two words escaped his lips, Tang Qi’s eyes transford, with Magic Power turning into golden tears, trickling down.
Within the vast space, an intricate and ancient array started tracing itself automatically; golden Light Flas surged, and a golden Sun was birthed, within which a portal clearly stood, emanating an all too familiar force from the Master of Furnace Projection, as if in a hurry, it swept forth powerfully, enveloping the shard and pulling it into the portal.
Resistance?
From the mont Tang Qi activated the Sacrifice thod, the shard seed to have resigned to its fate, devoured by the golden portal.
Only at this mont, the special visions in Tang Qi’s eyes sowhat belatedly materialized.
[Curios: Unknown Evil God Fragnt.]
[State: Being Sacrificed.]
[Information Fragnt One: Similar to the Evil God’s Intestines, belonging to part of the body of an unknown Exotic Realm Evil God, most likely a fragnt of an eye. It lacks self-awareness, but possesses terrifying radiation; contact with it or being within a certain range will transform one into so special form.]
[Information Fragnt Two: It makes for a fine sacrifice.]
…
The second Information Fragnt was undoubtedly true.
Tang Qi had already seen his rit points at the Master of Furnace Projection’s place restored to two.
It was easy to understand—a piece of an eye is indeed not as significant as a large chunk of Evil God’s Intestines.
If Tang Qi wished, he could exchange the rit points instantly, but now was clearly not the appropriate mont. After dealing with the Sad Ghost and the Evil God Fragnt wrapped within it, Tang Qi’s gaze returned to Professor Eva.
When a burst of information opened, Tang Qi’s eyebrows imdiately furrowed.
“Extraordinary Creatures: White Witch, State: In the midst of a Professional Trial… Cannot be forcibly interrupted, or it will lead to the accidental death of the Trialist.”
An unexpected turn that Tang Qi had not foreseen was now a done deal.
He had never expected to control everything; strictly speaking, the accidents on Professor Eva’s part were largely unrelated to Tang Qi.
After all, she had intended to undertake the Trial.
The only “accident” was the arrival of the Sad Ghost.
It forced Eva, in this graveyard, to enter the “Mysterious” without preparation to save her life.
The success rate of undergoing the Trial in such a manner was hard to predict.
“Is Secret Phoenix City indeed one of the escape cities for Sad Ghosts, but why did it suddenly turn to Eva? Is it because, as a powerful Transcendent who happened to experience sorrow, she was sensed by it?”
After several flickers of thought, Tang Qi did not delay any longer, drawing open a portal with a wave of his hand.
He brought back the shell left by Professor Eva directly to the fourth floor of the Library Tower, into his own ditation Room, and instructed the three Little Guys to watch over it.
He himself, however, began flickering downwards, towards the lower three floors.
Unable to forcibly interrupt, perhaps there were other thods to increase Eva’s chances of passing the Trial—Tang Qi aid to find them.
Just as Tang Qi entered the “Taboo Knowledge” area and reached for a book called “A Thousand Secret Knowledges on the Mysterious,” his palm suddenly stilled—as if it had sensed sothing. With a casual wave, light surged, and Rafael’s phantom erged within the glow.
“Tang Qi, sothing has happened to Jason!”
Rafael’s first words instantly made Tang Qi freeze.
