Chapter 396: Chapter 381 Exposure
Just as Tang Qi was feeling ashad of his own gluttony and contemplating whether to sever the lting Furnace Power for a while.
On the other side, Crowley finally believed that Zoe was an Extraordinary Doctor.
Apparently, this poor, mad Feeder who had been parasitized by the Mother Worm hadn’t truly co into contact with the Mysterious Side; otherwise, he would know that most doctors in the Extraordinary World are referred to as “Healers.”
Allowing a White Witch to treat one’s brain was a risky endeavor.
Crowley didn’t know how long he had been tornted by the Mother Worm, with half of his brain devoured clean, yet the fact that he could still maintain a sotis mad, sotis lucid thought process was no small feat.
Now, hope flickered in his eyes.
“Sit down!”
Zoe’s cold voice might have seed incredibly pleasant to him.
He didn’t even continue with that kind of provocative and exaggerated performance, instead instructing the other Feeders to watch the hostages and verify that no FBI teams were planning any sudden raids outside the Fruit Bat.
Crowley himself was very obedient, even ekly making his way to Zoe.
Then he turned around, gently pushed aside the squirming black maggots with a whisper, “Lovely little things, step back a bit, careful not to get hurt by .”
Unfortunately, this gentle tone lasted only a second.
In the next mont, his pushing turned into grabbing, a handful of maggots falling into his palm only to be nonchalantly tucked into his mouth, leisurely sitting down, exposing his Mother Worm-infested brain to Zoe, while also chewing the maggots until they burst.
“Doctor, want to try so too? It’s delicious.”
As he spoke, Crowley indeed passed a handful of black maggots to Zoe.
If one didn’t look at the food itself but only at Crowley’s sincere expression, one might believe that he was offering sothing truly sumptuous.
To Tang Qi, who observed the scene, it made him ponder whether his Extraordinary Cooking could indeed be classified as delicacies in the Mysterious Side World.
“Thanks, but no need!”
As a Professional Level strong, Zoe could obviously disregard the disgusting visuals brought on by the black maggots.
But tasting? That was absolutely out of the question.
After refusing, Zoe completely ignored Crowley’s “disappointed” look, like an honest person who had just been friendzoned, as her role at this ti was that of a cold yet professional Extraordinary Doctor.
The first casting of the “Light of Serenity” was a testant to that.
Of course, if the Mother Worm was easy to deal with, Zoe would definitely be willing to play the role of a “Healer.”
Among the broad range of Witches’ professions, in contrast to the mostly Chaotic Camp Black Witches, the White Witches were indeed skilled in so healing thods.
Unfortunately, the outco beca evident quickly.
Tang Qi was close by and thus could see it clearly.
When a probing Magic Power from Zoe’s hands fell into Crowley’s skull, the invasion of Alien Magic imdiately triggered an abnormal movent from the Mother Worm, causing Crowley to also instantly fall into a state of madness.
Luckily, at that mont, Zoe cast a witchcraft that brought peace to souls.
“Sigh”
Like moonlight, luminous wisps cascaded down, completely enveloping Crowley.
The serenity class witchcraft, with a barely perceptible hypnotic quality, was used by Zoe to hypnotize Crowley.
Of course, to everyone else, it appeared that this mad, neurotic maniac was finally cald down with the help of an Extraordinary Doctor.
“What a pity, it’s dood to fail!”
Tang Qi, who had observed Zoe casting a spell from start to finish, suddenly thought to himself.
Zoe, powerful and knowledgeable, would need to employ so thods to laboriously probe into so of the conditions inside Crowley.
But for Tang Qi, a single glance was enough.
That’s why he determined that Zoe would certainly be unable to deal with the Mother Worm.
The reason was simple: the mode of parasitism of the Mother Worm was not rely physical; it was sown directly into Crowley’s soul by a transcendental technique.
That is to say, the two nearly coexisted in the form of soul fusion.
“It’s shaless, but an effective thod.”
The soul has always been one of the most arcane existences in the Mysterious Side.
Even a Professional Level White Witch might not manage to separate the two on the spiritual level without alerting either the Feeder or the Mother Worm.
In the next mont, the growing doubts in the eyes of the White Witch confird Tang Qi’s judgnt.
Her lips didn’t move, yet through a small Magic Device in her ear, she transmitted a voice ssage.
“The Mother Worm is fused with Crowley’s soul; I can’t separate them without alerting them.”
“If I act forcefully, it could likely lead to a conflict, with no passengers able to avoid death.”
…
“Secret conversation? It gives a kind of tense espionage déjà vu.”
As Zoe made her move, Tang Qi, out of curiosity, secretly listened in.
Also curious was Selma.
Although she wasn’t skilled in combat as a Plant Puppet Master, as a Professional, stealthily eavesdropping without Zoe’s notice was not difficult.
Selma was also very excited at this mont.
Luckily, she only looked like a ten-year-old girl on the outside, but her real age was nineteen, and she had experienced so adventures, so she was still able to maintain her composure on the surface.
Colin, Tate, and Drew, after being instructed by Tang Qi, all shut their mouths tightly and entered spectator mode, where excitent and fear coexisted, with a bit more of the forr.
“According to the gossip in the Mysterious Daily·Secret Phoenix, the next leader of the rada Witch Group is a super witch who has maxed out her luck attribute, so as her rumored boyfriend, this Mr. Principal might also have so Misfortune attributes.”
“It looks more harmonious that way, doesn’t it?”
“And this sudden case might just be the unfortunate result of Mr. Principal’s appearance.”
It must be said, Selma’s inference was actually partly right, but the process was completely different.
Since arriving at the Origin Star, Tang Qi had indeed encountered a vast number of events, being dragged in willingly or unwillingly, and looking back, Tang Qi hardly had any peaceful days.
Moreover, a careful study would reveal that those events actually did not have much to do with Sally, nor were they caused by the “Curse Mark.”
Wherever Tang Qi went, trouble seed to follow, and it seed the frequency was getting too excessive.
Of course, Tang Qi would not admit this.
With the return of the Spiritual Tide, a variety of dangerous and unknown mysterious events erupting was all too normal.
Tang Qi was watching when, very abruptly, he heard his own na.
“Zoe, Devil State officials have confird the presence of an Extraordinary Strongman on the Fruit Bat, located in Secret Phoenix City, the current Principal of the rada Special Education School, suspected to be a Wizard-class professional, who has led the death of two Demigod Level strongn.”
“There’s no evidence yet linking him to Crowley, and according to Devil State’s intelligence, that Principal rushed to Weia Castle overnight to deal with a sudden incident involving a Cult Organization kidnapping his student, which has been obliterated by him.”
“If the opportunity arises, you may cautiously make contact with him after confirming his safety.”
As soon as these voices sounded, Selma imdiately looked over in surprise.
At the sa ti, a hint of helplessness appeared on Tang Qi’s face.
Unsurprisingly, he was exposed.
Although he hadn’t expected to be able to hide from the powerful official organization like the FBI.
Especially since he did not purposely cover anything up when he left Weia Castle.
The Blue Lion Society knew, the officials from Devil State responsible for the follow-up knew, and even knew that he had boarded the Fruit Bat with three kids.
In such a case, the Investigation Bureau only finding out about Tang Qi now was sowhat unexpected to her.
The next mont, Zoe, while maintaining the Light of Serenity, shifted her gaze pretending to look at several areas before falling directly on Tang Qi.
“Your acting is a bit lacking, Miss Zoe.”
From the mont that voice sounded, Tang Qi felt an extrely secret investigative aura, locking onto him from a distant and across the length of the Fruit Bat.
The Illusion Spell, rare to fail.
Obviously, that group led by Mr. Berenson must have used so artifact of not a low Level.
With a slight sigh in his heart, Tang Qi lifted the Illusion Spell’s veil for Zoe.
“Phew”
The next mont, Zoe’s expression subtly changed.
She saw Tang Qi, as well as Selma, and the three little guys Colin.
And her gaze almost entirely focused on Tang Qi.
A familiar feeling washed over her mind.
mories tucked away in the corners surfaced one after another.
“It’s you!”
Zoe suddenly realized, recognizing Tang Qi.
“We’ve already t once in the sser City Police Station.”
Because of the Illusion Spell, in everyone else’s eyes, Zoe was treating Crowley without having to worry, and spoke directly.
Her tone was full of astonishnt.
Clearly, she still rembered their first eting, when Tang Qi did not seem nearly as powerful as he now appeared.
At sser Police Station back then, Zoe only thought of him as a wild Transcendent with so potential, as he did not emit a strong aura.
But now, even without the previous intelligence from the magic device, she would not think Tang Qi weak. On the sa Professional Level, she could sense the power contained within Tang Qi’s seemingly frail high school body which she couldn’t ignore.
Startled, Tang Qi imdiately relaxed a bit upon hearing her words.
His main identity being exposed was not a problem; Tang Qi’s record couldn’t be cleaner.
His only concern was his “Second Body.”
Although he hadn’t caused too many troubles, upon reflection, he had offended a few troubleso forces.
“Yes, Miss Zoe, this is our second eting, in a rather reluctant way,”
Tang Qi said with a nod, then continued.
He then introduced Selma and the three little guys to Zoe, informing Zoe of her identity and that he had co to rescue the three kids.
With the reasons and consequences explained, plus him now barely counting as a big shot, well, at least in Secret Phoenix State.
Tang Qi believed that once Mr. Berenson inquired with the Ancient Castle Bureau and Church, he would be able to prove his innocence quickly.
Indeed, it wasn’t long before Zoe heard Berenson’s voice in her ear.
