Chapter 236: Chapter 236: The 2nd Hound
In order to prevent further loss of his brain pulp, Andre Poli had no choice but to follow Tang Qi’s commands, all the while dipping into black blood to taste, as he narrated the legendary experiences of Mr. Lecter.
Although the information obtained from Information Fragnt suggested that this psychotic killer had already escaped from the pursuit of the Hounds dispatched by the Shepherd Sect, and Mr. Lecter was in fact the leader of the sect, it did not affect Poli’s admiration for him at all.
“After I joined the dark web, I once saw Mr. Lecter up close. He was so elegant and charming, always the center of attention wherever he was. He was like a gentleman from novels and movies, except for a little hobby of his in private—he liked the taste of human flesh, oh no, I an lamb.”
“Moreover, it couldn’t be old, disabled or ugly lambs, it had to be young and beautiful ones. He said only those matched his culinary skills which he considered an artform…”
At this point, Poli looked up with a wry smile, seemingly expecting to see horrified expressions.
Unfortunately, all he saw were indifferent faces.
Tang Qi and Stanna of course understood the “taphor” in Poli’s words, but that was nothing new, and Stanna’s experiences allowed her to listen without any surprise.
Disappointed, Poli pursed his lips, then excitedly continued, “Besides this hobby, Mr. Lecter also pursued eternal art, which led him to delve into a wide range of fields. One day, he decided to venture into the Lost Jungle to study the Xiva Clan’s techniques of making miniature human heads.”
“Unfortunately, this adventure resulted in a plane crash, and he unexpectedly got lost deep in the jungle. There he didn’t find the Xiva Clan, but stumbled upon another tribe completely isolated from the world and still practicing cannibalism, where he blended in almost effortlessly.”
“Guess what identity Mr. Lecter used to blend in?”
“Gourt consultant!”
Andre’s play on words failed because Tang Qi imdiately revealed the answer expressionlessly.
He and Stanna had anwhile each dragged over a chair and were sitting, listening to Andre Poli recount the secret stories of the legendary tycoon.
Poli really wanted to glare fiercely at Tang Qi, feeling that ever since encountering this mysteriously appearing wizard, his luck had been terrible, not even able to brag a little.
Fortunately, the following story was still astonishing enough to keep Poli eager to share.
“Mr. Lecter integrated into that primitive tribe as quickly as possible, and soon discovered an incredible secret of the tribe. The tribe’s leader had lived for over two hundred years and still looked young, possessing strength and speed far beyond normal humans.”
“Because of this secret, Mr. Lecter gave up any intentions to seek rescue. He stayed with the tribe and after several months, he finally uncovered the secret. That night, he activated the Signal Transmitter, calling for support from the dark web, and in one night, the tribe was massacred. That powerful Clan Leader, after killing several of our companions, died under the barrage of modern weaponry.”
“And that incredible, legendary secret was shared by Mr. Lecter with all of us that sa night.”
“In the tribe’s Holy Land, there exists a spring, called the Ancestor Spring by the natives, containing unimaginable power that grew more and more terrifying, capable of instantly draining any life that ca near.”
“Strangely, Mr. Lecter was able to approach it. Although he couldn’t touch the water, he was able to pluck an Ancestor Flower growing by the spring, a magically beautiful flower. Eating just one would grant monstrous strength, and every Clan Leader maintained their rule by consuming the occasionally wind-blown Ancestor Flowers.”
“Unfortunately, the Ancestor Flowers consud by the natives required decades or even centuries to erge, while directly plucked Ancestor Flowers had stronger effects but even more horrifying side effects. All the test subjects Mr. Lecter selected that night died from self-destruction within minutes.”
“Later, he established Goliya Biological Pharmaceutical. Do you know why it’s called Goliya?”
“This is actually the na of an evil female Red Dragon from the legends of Leckter’s holand who had a penchant for eating people and dressing up. The won obsessed with Goliya’s products surely do not know that the stuff they spread on their faces are rely scraps from the extraction process of the Ancestor Flower, or even just tabolic waste from the Hounds.”
“The essence extracted from the Ancestor Flower is ultimately made into a special potion. Consuming it grants terrifying strength, speed, and overall attribute enhancent. However, the side effects include gradual dehumanization and a strong tendency to cannibalism, and most consurs gradually break down internally. This is why the Hound Corps updates its mbers at such a rapid pace.”
“I fear that kind of self-collapse, which is why I never fully participated in the assessnts and stayed in the reserves. But little did I know, fate would play a huge joke on . During a routine check by the organization, it was discovered that I had already developed cancer. To prevent any accidents, I was to be dealt with as a defective product.”
“To save my life, I sneaked into the laboratory that night and directly swallowed an Ancestor Flower. And so, I turned into this – ugly, isn’t it? Terrifying, isn’t it? But I can feel it, I’m transforming, no, I am evolving, I am the real legend… Hahahaha.”
Poli finished his story and then revealed his true face, both narcissistic and insane.
“Bang!”
He lunged again, his blood-stained palm gripping the railing, squeezing his hideous face in between, and said with a sinister grin to the two:
“Now you know everything, but what can you do about it?”
“Kill ? Do you know how deadly the virus within
is? Without my restraint, once this body dies, all the viruses will erupt, turning the entire sser City into hell, and what’s worse, it will spread wildly.”
“Moreover, you and your families will face the mad pursuit of the Hounds. Leckter will not let anyone who disrupts his plans go.”
“Not kill ? Perhaps the second Hound will co tonight. Their dog noses are quite keen; my scent has long been locked on. It doesn’t matter where you lock
up.”
As his words fell, Poli burst into maniacal laughter again.
Then, with a ‘thud,’ his body involuntarily knelt down.
“Lost too much brain pulp just now, running low on intelligence?”
Tang Qi shook his head, not removing the Body Control Spell, continuing to let this deranged assassin kneel.
He was also gradually becoming inhuman, at least losing the intelligence belonging to humans.
Spilling all these “secrets” was not sothing an ambitious villain should do.
Most crucially, he severely misjudged the situation.
Firstly, if Tang Qi really wanted to kill him, under the lting Furnace Power, even the Evil God’s Intestines had to kneel; a re virus body wouldn’t even last a second before it could spread.
Fortunately, at this mont, Tang Qi’s intention wasn’t to kill him.
Stanna was still sowhat imrsed in the “story,” overwheld by the vast amount of information in it.
“Regrettably, I wasn’t here last night, but tonight, I want to see the second Hound for myself. As for the battlefield – how about… my place!”
Suddenly, Tang Qi made a decision, speaking lightly.
