Chapter 224: Chapter 224 Cylinder Brain and Trade

Tang Qi thought the Ancient Castle Bureau would use so kind of Curios to dispel disaster, but what appeared before him and the other Transcendents was a gigantic tank, which looked just like the classic model a young girl would use to keep goldfish, only many tis larger.

And inside the tank, there was sothing alive.

A brain?

A jellyfish?

Or perhaps, a jellyfish that had a brain-like torso and countless transparent tentacles?

Its torso was identical to a brain soaked in Formalin, with uneven sulci and gyri, and a gray-white cortex; what made one believe it was a living creature were those transparent tentacles that, at this mont, slowly opened hundreds of eyes.

Distinctly black and white, with long eyelashes, just like human eyes.

They were calm at first, but as ti passed, their presence seed to change, becoming extrely dangerous.

Images quickly ford in Tang Qi’s eyes.

[Extraordinary Creatures: Jellyfish Brain.]

[State: Awakening.]

[Information Fragnt One: An Extraordinary Creature born from an extre coincidence, possessing uniqueness. It has unimaginable hypnotic power, but without any faction alignnt or concept of good and evil; without human control, its hypnotic effects are unknown and are mostly catastrophic.]

[Information Fragnt Two: It has been contained by the Secret Phoenix State Ancient Castle Bureau and is currently in a controllable state.]

“Huh”

With the second Information Fragnt passing by, Tang Qi’s heart relaxed a bit.

Just a mont ago, Tang Qi had indeed felt a terrifying sense of danger.

According to the information detected by his Special Ability, this vast Jellyfish Brain, suspended in a certain pale green liquid, possessed hypnotic abilities that were horrifying to the extre, at least powerful enough to crush Tang Qi’s current Skill “Red”.

Tang Qi suspected that if the Ancient Castle Bureau couldn’t control it, allowing it to run wild, everyone present, including Hall, would be powerless to protect themselves.

So how did the Ancient Castle Bureau contain it?

As doubt rose in Tang Qi’s heart, the agents of the Ancient Castle Bureau all acted together. They surrounded the tank, carefully inserting various instrunts, gently connecting them to the gray-white cortex, and finally converging behind a massive screen.

Amidst the “shh shh shh” sound, the screen lit up, and an agent resembling a programr sat in front of the screen.

On the other side, two agents lifted a jar made of a highly sealed special material, opened it, and poured its contents into the tank. Ink-like liquid silently flowed into the tank, and in an instant, everything inside was obscured. At that mont, the “programr” began to type furiously with both hands, phantasm-like, making the cumberso keyboard clap loudly.

On the screen, complex commands cascaded down like a waterfall.

Buzz!

Without warning, the pitch-black tank, with hundreds of eyes, opened again, and green ghost light blood.

“Boom!”

“Here it cos!”

Almost imdiately, Tang Qi felt a radiation invisible to the naked eye emanating from the center of the battlefield ruins, surging in all directions, possibly covering the entire sser City.

“It’s emitting radiation infused with powerful hypnotic power… It’s selectively altering mories!”

An Information Fragnt flickered through Tang Qi’s eyes, and he gained so understanding; he directly looked toward sser City.

Polluted rainwater and toxic gas were dispersed by the priests of the Bright Church, and the freed citizens should have gradually awoken at this mont, but instead they fell into another kind of stupefied state, each beginning to recover according to their state before the fall.

Apart from the citizens who were unlucky enough to die after the fall, there were actually not many.

The rest obtained a set of altered mories.

Tang Qi suddenly thought of Sally and Stanna; Sally, who could now use the Power of Misfortune, could undoubtedly fend for herself in this Disaster, as well as protect her mother, while Stanna and the police departnt were provided protection by Hall.

Altering mories was ineffective on them.

As all citizens re-entered their dreamland, the ink color in the tank rapidly dissipated. It seed that the agents had anticipated this, quickly packing away all the equipnt together with that huge screen. At the sa ti, hissing sounds continuously emanated from above the tank.

At least a dozen nozzles sprayed so kind of gas towards the tank, and soon the ghost light in the hundreds of eyes on the jellyfish tentacles faded away, and the long lashes drooped, it was falling asleep. The truck brimming with Doomsday Gothic style quickly reverted to its initial state and rumbled away from the battlefield.

At the sa ti, about a dozen black cars took turns coming in.

Dozens of agile black-clothed agents alighted to clean up the battlefield; this was all the work of the official, naly the Ancient Castle Bureau.

Seeing this scene, all Transcendents felt certain that sser City’s “Evil God Disaster” had likely been completely eradicated. It seed they thought of sothing, and all the Transcendents looked simultaneously towards the hero who stood out in this incident.

What ca to mind was a tall and upright figure, a weathered aura as well as a combat style that could be called violent aesthetics.

Even the two professional strongn, Hall and Sith, were overshadowed by him.

Everyone was curious as to what the background of this seemingly mysterious and strong individual was.

However, when they turned their heads, they saw yet another peculiar scene.

Tang Qi and Sith were bargaining over the “Confessor Knight Sword.”

The reason being, Tang Qi obstinately refused to follow Sith to the Bright Church in Secret Phoenix State for discussions, even though Sith repeatedly assured that the Bright Church would not “bite the hand that feeds it,” but Tang Qi was still resolute in his refusal, saying that if they didn’t want to trade on the spot, they could go to the “Mysterious Valley Market” for a contract-certified transaction.

Hearing this, Sith imdiately chose an on-the-spot deal.

Consequently, sser City’s Saviour and a Bright Knight revolved around a “plain and ordinary Knight Sword,” and intense haggling ensued.

In the end, Tang Qi almost emptied Sith of all his Curios, and the priests that rushed to the scene later were not spared either; having co fully ard, they could only return bare. The only regret for Tang Qi was that he couldn’t get his hands on that winged little ball Curio.

After the deal concluded, both parties were very satisfied.

The Bright Church side was very satisfied with the retrieval of Martin Sims’ Knight Sword.

Even though Sims did not give any respect to the Bright Church, whether in life or after his disappearance, ridiculing the Church through and through, so people in the Church still saw Martin Sims as a respectable Holy Confessor, and reclaiming his “inheritance” was of great significance.

And for Tang Qi, he was equally pleased to have exchanged a Knight Sword that was about to be scrapped and could not be utilized, for a large amount of Curios.

Carrying a package on his back and dragging Jason’s Great Chopper, a whistle summoned the Night Beast. Completely ignoring the little guy’s protest, he put the overly heavy package on its back, mounted it himself, and both man and beast transford into a phantom, rging instantly into the night and vanishing without a trace.

As if afraid of taking too long, lest the “trick” in the Knight Sword might be discovered by Sith.

Seeing this, the Transcendents who were expecting a display of the strongman’s deanor all twitched their mouths a bit, just when they felt sowhat at a loss for words.

On the other side, the Ancient Castle Bureau’s agents seed to have found sothing; after a slight commotion, two agents also endowed with Extraordinary Power suddenly leaped out from the depths of the Dark Factory, which had beco a huge pit; on the simple stretcher they were carrying, lay a human figure.

It was a young man, thin as a rake, with exceptionally pale skin, but his body was covered in bloodstains and he seed to be in a state of extre terror, staring with his wide-open eyes muttering incessantly, “Dead, all dead, father has gone completely mad…”

“Is that Little Ross playing crazy?”

“Maybe not. He might have been in a passive state of Pollution all along, and now with Ross dead and the Evil God’s Intestines expelled, he could be the last survivor.

“Hmph, whether he is or not, he will never regain freedom; the Ancient Castle Bureau will contain him.”
