Chapter 130: Chapter 130: Extraordinary Market (Fixed)

Following the page about Artifact Forgers, there appeared another common profession, though one of the combat class.

Demon Hunter!

These three words imdiately reminded Tang Qi of Jason Williams, the young Demon Hunter he had a brief encounter with before, who possesses a half-demon bloodline. From the Information Fragnt, it seed that his mother was no ordinary Tilos demon.

According to the description on this page, it seed a bit easier for combat class professionals to advance.

For instance, for Jason to strive for the Professional Level as a Demon Hunter, he would need to hunt at least a hundred demons. At their last eting, the fragnt showed that he had completed half.

Perhaps, the “heart of a Transforming Monster” that Tang Qi had obtained might be the spoils from Jason hunting down a Transforming Monster.

...

Given the current rate at which the Spiritual Tide is reviving, it may not be long before Jason becos a Professional Level Demon Hunter, and it’s hard to say how his combat power might change by then.

Tang Qi continued to peruse the booklet, with other professions appearing in succession, including support, combat, and so rather rare ones.

Among them, the profession described most prominently was likely the “Holy Warrior.”

However, the booklet did not contain any information on the thod of promotion for this profession, rely stating: The specific thod is presumably controlled by the Bright Church.

Tang Qi carefully read through the entire booklet but didn’t find the Promotion Path for the “Wizard” profession. Initially, this was sowhat strange since the Wizard profession is, to so extent, just like the Demon Hunter and Spirit dium professions, a common type of profession.

But after pondering over the logic, he understood it sowhat.

In fact, whether it is support class, combat class, or other classes, the logic of promotion is quite similar; it is nothing more than testing whether the cultivator has grasped the essence of the profession.

For example, Demon Hunters need to slay a hundred demons, Spirit diums need to succeed in communicating with a thousand souls, Beast Tars need to ta a hundred kinds of Extraordinary Beasts… These numbers aren’t set in stone and can fluctuate.

The reason for having these specific numbers is derived from the experiences summarized during the Dark Age.

eting these numbers, it’s very likely that one can advance to Professional Level. But there can be exceptions, such as those who take shortcuts and fail to grasp the essence of their profession while reaching the numbers, cannot achieve Professional status even with the numbers t.

There might also be those who have not reached the nuric goals yet, but sohow have an epiphany during the process and grasp that power, allowing them to prematurely beco a Professional.

For instance, a certain “Spirit dium” might have not been practicing for long and communicated only a handful of tis, but suddenly, during one successful communication with an incredibly powerful soul, he directly advanced to the Professional Level Spirit dium.

These kinds of accidents have many records in the books handed down from the Dark Age.

“If you are from a Wizard clan, naturally you have the corresponding Promotion thod.”

“If it’s a wild Wizard, to achieve a Professional Level, it would an having to create a ditation thod from scratch by following this logic, right?”

“Well, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a ditation thod, perhaps any cultivable thod might do.”

Closing the booklet, Tang Qi couldn’t help but mutter to himself.

This small gift from Old Coulson was indeed sothing Tang Qi currently needed.

Together with the previous book, Tang Qi now had so understanding of the majority of human combative forces and professions in the Extraordinary Domain, and even the logic of promotion. As for Abnormalities, maybe even the Ancient Castle Bureau hasn’t figured it out yet, not to ntion himself; it was information temporarily out of reach.

For Tang Qi himself, the only profession he could currently strive for without a doubt was Secret Alchemist. If he could get the key ingredients for the “Rubber Man Secret dicine,” given his Special Ability, entering an apprentice would be a piece of cake.

The source of his main combat power, the lter Wizard, felt sowhat elusive.

He had the ditation thod.

But he knew nothing about the rest of the knowledge that goes with the ditation thod, especially the thod of promotion which he hadn’t obtained from the Sheepskin Scroll.

However, with his Special Ability, perhaps he could forcefully break through the limitations, but that would require more experints.

As for the professions of Beast Tar, Beast Shepherd, and Artifact Forger that are just showing signs, Tang Qi is not thinking about them now.

“Huh?”

Just as Tang Qi was contemplating how to advance to a Professional Wizard, he felt sothing and suddenly looked towards the window. It was supposed to be broad daylight, but what struck his eyes was a dimming sky.

Approaching evening already? Knowledge of Mysticism is indeed so captivating.

“Get to work!”

Tang Qi withdrew his gaze, saying silently.

He put the booklet into the safe, then sowhat reluctantly poured himself a large bowl of blood, a quantity more than half less than the last ti he used for soaking.

He quickly tossed the bullets in and a straightforward, crude soaking thod began.

As ti quickly passed, the blood in front of Tang Qi began to fade, and the bullets began to undergo so strange changes.

Specks of ghost light erged.

“Success!”

“My guess was correct.”

Tang Qi held the tweezers in one hand, took out the bullets one by one, wiped them dry, and then carefully placed them back into the gray wooden box.

At the sa ti, he confird his previous guess.

The birth of the Molten Furnace Bullet was due to one reason alone, and that was the influence of the lting Furnace Power in his blood.

Based on the amount of blood Tang Qi used last ti he made Molten Furnace Bullets for the Ancient Castle Bureau, he only used a third of that this ti, reasoning that the current Tang Qi was much stronger and the lting Furnace Power in his blood would have accordingly increased.

From the results, he was right.

Having gained so additional information, particularly about himself, Tang Qi’s mood lifted. He tidied up the workbench, and placed the gray wooden box filled with bullets back into the safe.

Then, he pondered on the spot and ultimately, as previously planned, he took two more items from the safe besides weapons like Blood Python One and Heige’s Resentnt.

A small cloth bag, containing fourteen snow-white dog teeth.

And a stack of manuscripts!

After all preparations were made, Tang Qi took off all his clothes, reverted to his true form, changed into normal clothing, packed up the Hunter’s clothes and the curios, looked out the window to see the night growing dense, and left the small building with his things.

A few streets away from the school area, he rented a spacious carriage and, after paying several tis the rent, the coachman finally agreed to take Tang Qi to the outskirts.

It was nightti, and the fact that the coachman was willing to take on this job, besides the incentive of Silver Coins, was probably because Tang Qi looked like an unthreatening, fresh-faced high school student.

Tang Qi was naturally pleased with this, and upon entering the outskirts, he got out of the carriage, watched it leave, did not go into the small village ahead, but turned into the nearby woods.

Monts later, a burly figure leisurely walked out.

He was dressed in Hunter’s clothes, with unkempt hair that appeared not to have been tended to in a long while and a scruffy beard. He wasn’t handso, just had so deep lines on his face, with a scar stretching from his right eye to his cheek particularly noticeable.

He glanced at the gradually lit houses ahead, rows of wooden cabins, clean streets, each with its neatly pruned courtyard… If he didn’t rember wrong, this place seed to be called Qiwo Village, a very typical one among the suburban villages surrounding sser City.

In such a small village, if there were visitors, even strangers, they would presumably receive a warm welco.

Of course, they might also be greeted with the bang bang bang of doors being shut, because with more and more abnormalities, the peaceful and good life was constantly being disturbed.

Even in sser City where manpower was severely lacking, these suburban villages could only rely on the villagers to help themselves.

However, so far, at most, there have been a few missing persons cases, with no violent cases affecting more than a dozen people.

Tang Qi took a glance and then, without hesitation, turned towards another direction.

There lay a towering mountain peak, even at night surrounded by enveloping cloud mist.

What drew attention, however, was a seemingly vast forest at the foot of the mountain.

Though night had fallen, the first glance gave the impression that the forest seed too dark, as if sothing within was constantly devouring the light.

“Do they really have to hold the Extraordinary Market in this kind of place that looks so mysterious?”

Tang Qi murmured a complaint to himself, and then his figure quickly blended into the shadows of the dark forest.
