Chapter 267 - Sealing
The layers of colors receded quickly, and Ebner felt as though he was quickly passing through a strange and bizarre world. Although this wasn't his first ti, he still found it rather novel.
Unfortunately, even after activating the White Eye, he was still unable to completely "analyze" this ability, much less learn it. He felt that it was impossible to even think of becoming a demigod.
Soon, Ebner noticed that the thick black and overlapping shadows in front of him were beginning to look familiar. He thought for a mont and vaguely recognized that it might be near the town of Conva.
At this mont, Azik's figure ca to a halt as he solemnly said,
"The spirit here tells
that there's danger."
There's danger? Even Mr. Azik finds it dangerous? Is it the ancestor of the baron who's sleeping deep in Calderón City? Or is it so underground corruption?
Upon hearing this, Ebner imdiately had several guesses.
Azik half-closed his eyes for two seconds before opening them.
"The greatest danger seems to have subsided... Well, it's not a big problem. Let's go in."
Hey, hey, I rember that you said sothing similar to Klein in the past, only to bump into Saintess of White Katarina on the Black Death... Your "problem isn't serious," perhaps to yourself?
Although he was lampooning her inwardly, he still chose to believe in the Death Consul. After all, even though he had lost most of his mories and his combat strength had greatly decreased, he was still essentially an angel.
In the blink of an eye, Ebner realized that he had returned to the entrance of the Baron's castle ruins that he had buried a few weeks ago with Vann and Ema.
Mr. Azik held the Baron's "spirit" in his palm and communicated with it again. Then, he explained to Ebner in a gentle tone,
"If my judgnt isn't wrong, another Baron Conva has woken up in this mausoleum."
Another one? Is Baron Conva so cabbage on the ground? They can always be harvested after planting it?
As Ebner lampooned, he did so ntal calculations. Mr. Azik had previously ntioned that the spirit of Baron Conrad Conva is created by the combined efforts of the Trinity Templar and the Dreamweaver...
The Trinity Templar could grow a head covered in shadows on each shoulder. One was young, and the other old. Each head could take away a third of a person's body and instantly beco complete through flesh and blood magic...
And a Dreamweaver could separate so of their forr identities and turn them into living people. And even if these identities died, it wouldn't lead to the death of their true bodies...
After recalling the traits of the two Sequence 3 powers, Ebner had so guesses, but he didn't speak rashly because he didn't have any evidence.
Besides, for a Sequence 7 like him to know what the nas of the Holy Cathedral and Dreamweaver an is already impressive enough. It can still be explained, and it might even incur suspicion... Even if Mr. Azik might not care...
Mr. Azik clearly didn't expect Ebner to make any inferences as a result. He stared intently at the ground for a while before saying, "Well, we have two choices now.
"First, directly eliminate the newly awakened baron. This way, the problem you face should be temporarily resolved... But the clues will be cut off, as a result, making it difficult to figure out the truth behind it... Furthermore, his origins aren't here, so he might still bring you a new threat...
Second, I'll temporarily seal this place and let the awakened baron live in the castle ruins for so ti. Once I recover more of my mories and figure out the form of his existence, I'll then reverse engineer his origins...
More than 90% of his origins were in the abandoned castle in the middle of Delaire Forest! It was very likely that the baron and Lady Aston had never returned!
Taking a deep breath, Ebner looked at Mr. Azik, who was staring at the ground, and asked sincerely, "What do you think is the safest solution?"
"Personally, I'm very interested in the truth behind him. It might allow
to recall more things..." Mr. Azik looked down again and slowly raised his head.
In other words, you're inclined to seal it for the ti being? After muttering to himself for a while, Ebner asked, "How long can it be sealed?"
"It won't take long... With the ans I can recall, I can seal this place for about a year at most," Mr. Azik said after so thought.
A year? Ebner heaved a sigh of relief.
Ignoring how far he would grow in a year, Klein was definitely a demigod. With the help of Sefirah Castle, he could spend money to entrust The World to resolve this problem.
This matter involved the Mysteries. Even if so existence was using this arrangent, they would definitely have so reservations.
Although there was no evidence, Ebner's intuition told him that the truth behind Baron Conva might be related to him. Otherwise, there was no way to explain his "fate."
The "predestined encounter" in the rotation of the Wheel of Fortune didn't refer to
or 1-025, nor was it Mr. Azik... Instead, it was referring to a particular existence behind the baron's matter.
Therefore, it's better to delay this "destiny" as much as possible. The more variables that are introduced, the better... It's easier to fish in troubled waters!
With this in mind, Ebner made up his mind. He smiled and said, "I'll choose the second plan."
Mr. Azik nodded slightly. He didn't judge his choice, but he raised his hand slightly. Instantly, with him at the center, invisible and distorted faces rose amidst black fog, forming a strange door.
The door lay on the ground with its surface half-open. It was as though a large, half-opened mouth had grown out from the ground.
Then, Mr. Azik pierced his finger with his fingernail and dripped a drop of blood on the door.
The angel's blood is a ritual seal set up using spirituality materials... That baron sure is impressive! Tsk tsk, once that door is closed, I'll probably have to use a Grade 0 Sealed Artifact to break the seal.
Sensing the powerful sealing force coming from underground, Ebner couldn't help but sigh.
At this mont, Mr. Azik took out the spirit of the baron he had previously captured, as though he wanted to throw him into it as well, but he stopped at the last mont.
"What happened?" Ebner asked curiously when he saw Mr. Azik suddenly look at him.
"This baron's spirit has requested
to bring so of Roselle's academic works in to seal them together... He was very cooperative previously, so I've decided to fulfill this wish."
"Eh?"
