Chapter 1031: The Tarot Gathering

"Your bedroom is downstairs."

Hearing Miss Sharon’s words, Klein’s self-comfort instantly froze, though he still reflexively put on a gentle smile.

Even though he was a man full of secrets and it was impossible for him to share a bed with Miss Sharon, being sent downstairs like this still made him feel sowhat bitter inside.

However, since there was less than half an hour before the Tarot Gathering would begin, he suppressed the "grievance" in his heart. After chatting briefly with Sharon, he went downstairs and returned to "his" bedroom.

Then, he sat on the edge of the bed, his face losing all expression.

anwhile, upstairs, Sharon was quietly staring at the full-length mirror, motionless like a finely crafted doll, lost in thought about sothing unknown.

At 2:40, Klein rubbed his temples, then slowly got up, used his spirituality to seal the room, and walked four steps backward, arriving in the do-topped palace above the gray fog.

"The Fool" Klein glanced at the pre-manifested "World," then spread out his spirituality at the appointed ti, touching the crimson stars representing "Justice," "The Hanged Man," "The Magician," "Judgnt," "Temperance," "The Moon," and "The Hermit."

Next, he separately notified "The Tower," telling him to prepare his "Eye of Wisdom" projection.

Beams of light rose one after another, and the slightly indistinct figures appeared on both sides of the bronze long table.

"Justice" Audrey, who had just returned to reality from the "Dream Labyrinth Tower," hadn’t even had ti to change into a dress; she appeared above the gray fog in her ho clothes.

Still, she stood up gracefully and skillfully, lifted the hem of an imaginary skirt, and led everyone in greeting:

"Good afternoon, Mr. Fool~"

Her voice remained lively, yet it carried a faint weariness.

Klein smiled and nodded in response but sharply sensed that Miss "Justice" wasn’t in her usual state — she seed to have suffered several setbacks, her spirit slightly drained.

What happened? It’s rare to see Miss Justice looking like this... He couldn’t help sighing inwardly, deciding that later he would have "The World" ask her under the pretext of a transaction what was troubling her, and if it wasn’t too troubleso, he would lend a helping hand.

Sitting opposite "Justice," Ebner also noticed Audrey’s dejection. Based on his knowledge of this young lady from the original tiline, he guessed she had probably been beaten into self-doubt by "Conan" inside the Dream Labyrinth Tower.

After the mbers greeted each other, they all turned their gazes toward "The Hermit," expecting that this pirate admiral would once again bring a new page of Emperor Roselle’s diary.

As expected, "The Hermit" Cattleya spoke up:

"Mr. Fool, I’ve collected another page of Emperor Roselle’s diary."

Only one page?Shouldn’t the "Mystery Queen" be able to casually bring out an entire book? The recently tested Klein didn’t reveal any emotion and nodded slightly.

"That’s not a problem."

Ebner, sitting beside her, easily guessed what Klein was secretly grumbling about beneath the gray fog and couldn’t help echoing silently in his heart: The Mystery Queen has probably also been doubting life after eting Conan, which is why she only managed to pick one page!

On the other side, Cattleya conjured a yellow-brown diary page from mory and sent it through the Spirit World into Mr. Fool’s hand.

Klein looked down casually and soon discovered that it was a diary entry describing Roselle’s conversation with "Mr. Door."

Most of the content—such as the Fourth Epoch’s "Four Emperors" and knowledge about the "Trunsoest-Tudor Unified Empire"—he had already heard from Ebner, and in far greater detail than what was written in this diary.

But there was one point that "Mr. Tower" had not ntioned:

"Mr. Door told

that he had once secretly cooperated with the ’Night Emperor.’ Together, they briefly built a ’door,’ attempting to draw in a great power.

"But their plan failed. The ’Night Emperor’ went mad and fell, and Mr. Door was exiled from this world because of it...

"I cannot tell how much truth there is in his words... perhaps his exile was not entirely because of this, but his cooperation with the ’Night Emperor’ should be real.

"Because on a small island in the Furious Sea, I truly found the ruins of a ’door,’ identical to the design Mr. Door described.

"I must say, Mr. Door possessed knowledge of the true gods that far exceeded my imagination. His cooperation with the Night Emperor shows that before his banishnt, he was probably already attempting to break through to Sequence 0... no wonder he disdained Zaratul and held no reverence for the gods.

"I am even less willing to bring him back to the real world now."

Mr. Door actually cooperated with the Night Emperor? Wasn’t he a subordinate of the "Blood Emperor"?

But perhaps... not impossible. Klein recalled "Mr. Tower" joking before that Beyonders of the "Door" and "Arbiter" pathways seed strangely fated, always getting involved with each other.

Like the marriage between the Tamara and Abraham families, or the friendship between the Tarot Club’s Miss "Judgnt" and Miss "Magician."

Now, adding the cooperation between the "Door" and the "Night Emperor," it almost seed... "reasonable"?

Besides, where exactly were those ruins of the "door" in the Berserk Sea? What was the true purpose behind the "Night Emperor" and "Mr. Door" building it? What was the source of the great power they sought to summon? There was not a single clue revealed...

Klein, full of questions, speculated wildly but found no answers.

Thus, he set the matter aside for the mont, planning to discuss it privately with Ebner after the eting.

After letting the diary vanish, "The Fool" Klein smiled at "The Hermit" and said,

"What request do you have?"

Cattleya didn’t hide her intent and asked directly,

"The main character of this diary, besides Emperor Roselle, who else was it?"

Her question instantly dispelled the gloom in "Justice" Audrey’s heart. She eagerly turned toward Mr. Fool, her bright eyes filled with curiosity — even her ears seed to perk up.

"The Hanged Man" Alger and the others were also intrigued. Anyone written about in Emperor Roselle’s diary certainly couldn’t be ordinary!

Klein roughly guessed their thoughts and couldn’t help but complain inwardly:

If this weren’t a diary chosen by Bernadette herself, I’d have to tell you — the other main characters would be witches, witches, hunters, hunters, so noble lady, and so noble miss...

Of course, Liu Bo showed up quite often too — but that’s sothing I definitely can’t let you know.

After thinking for two seconds, Klein leaned leisurely against his chair and replied with a smile,

"Mr. Door."

"Mr. Door?" Except for "The Hermit" Cattleya, the others weren’t unfamiliar with that na. After all, both "Mr. Tower" and "Mr. Fool" had ntioned it before.

Especially "The Magician" Fors — her feelings toward this ancestor of the Abraham family were extrely complicated. After all, he was the man who had once made her lose handfuls of hair every month.

"The Hermit" Cattleya had originally been trying to infer Mr. Door’s identity from Mr. Fool’s tone and choice of words, but she suddenly realized that the other mbers around the table showed no confusion — as if they all already knew who this na referred to.

So... am I the only one who doesn’t know?

For so reason, "The Hermit" Cattleya suddenly felt a hint of grievance.

But she soon smiled wryly to herself, thinking, What’s wrong with ? After seeing the Queen again, have I really started to act like a little girl again?
