"Oh? As far as I know, there don't seem to be any tasks here recently that would attract outsiders!" Celestia was still a bit unwilling to believe, thinking that Ye Liuyun might be lying to her.
"Heh!" Ye Liuyun chuckled but offered no further explanation.
Celetia knew pressing Ye Liuyun further would be pointless, so she could only leave in frustration.
"Haha, got rejected, didn't you? Why not team up with instead? I won't even ask for your points. You just spend one night with and I'll fight to the death for you!"
A burly, rough-looking man, seeing Celestia's failed attempt, jeered at her crudely.
"Piss off!" Celestia snapped at him, drawing raucous laughter from the crowd.
Celestia promptly left the hall, while Ye Liuyun simply continued to sit with his eyes closed, quietly resting.
"Listen here, kid! My na's Granth! I don't care who you are, but if you dare to reject my woman, I won't let you go!"
The sa man who had just harassed Celestia now turned his aggression toward Ye Liuyun.
Without even opening his eyes, Ye Liuyun responded to the threat with a single, softly spoken word, "Scram."
"HAHAHA—"
All the Stygian mbers in the room burst into uncontrollable laughter, so nearly gasping for breath.
Granth slamd his fist onto the table with a loud thud, his teeth gritted in fury. "Fine! You've got guts!"
Being cursed at by Celestia hadn't fazed him, but Ye Liuyun's dismissive insult struck a nerve. His face burned with humiliation.
Yet, fighting wasn't allowed here. All he could do was seethe silently, glaring daggers at Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun remained completely unfazed, utterly indifferent to the threats hurled his way.
Many mbers of the Stygian organization were intrigued by Ye Liuyun's calm deanor and began speculating about his background and rank.
Under Granth's intense gaze, Ye Liuyun stayed motionless until dawn, only then slowly stood up to leave the Stygian secret realm.
Granth imdiately sprang to his feet, trailing closely behind him.
"Give it up, Granth. You were the one asking for trouble!" One of the Stygian mbers warned him in a low voice.
"I'm gonna beat him so bad even his own mother won't recognize him!" Granth shouted recklessly, clearly saying it loud enough for Ye Liuyun to hear.
A faint smirk tugged at Ye Liuyun's lips, but he paid it no mind.
Exiting the secret realm, he was surprised to find its exit located on the first floor of the inn.
"Interesting. The entrance and exit aren't even in the sa place!" Ye Liuyun was amused.
He took off his black robe, opened the door, and found a woman sitting inside the inn.
With a quick glance, Ye Liuyun recognized her as Celestia. However, he pretended not to know her and coldly walked out.
Just then, Granth barged out after him. The mont he stepped into the inn's main hall, Celestia called out to him.
"Idiot. Are you trying to get yourself killed?"
"That punk's really that strong?" Granth eyeing Celestia with so doubt.
"There's sothing off about him. Let's follow and see for now!" Celestia replied.
To everyone's surprise, Granth actually obediently sat back down.
Ye Liuyun stepped out of the inn, only to realize that Granth hadn't followed him. A flicker of disappointnt crossed his mind.
When he sensed that soone was probing him using divine sense, he felt kinda relieved.
He first hurried to the Qingyun Guild to buy a local map, and then directly left the city, heading towards Mist Valley.
"I think this guy looks like he wants to hog all the loots to himself!"
Granth and Celestia were following Ye Liuyun from a distance. When they saw Ye Liuyun leave the city and head towards Mist Valley, Granth couldn't help but speak up.
"Whatever! Griffin will definitely take action to intercept him. Even though he's not teaming up with us, the result will still be the sa. We can just follow behind and pick up the leftovers. You just need to be ready to deal with Griffin!" Celestia said.
"All right, you really have a way with this!"
Granth flattered her enthusiastically, but Celestia was completely uninterested. Her attention was entirely focused on Ye Liuyun.
Celestia thought she was being very discreet in following Ye Liuyun. However, Ye Liuyun's Divine Soul power was far stronger than theirs, so every ti she used her Divine Sense to scan through Ye Liuyun, he could sense it.
Mist Valley wasn't far from Qingyun City. In just half a day, Ye Liuyun had arrived there.
This valley contains so natural hot springs, and the heavy steam causes mist to linger year-round.
At the entrance of the valley, a woodcutter sat on the ground, eating sothing. Next to him was a pile of firewood and a sickle was placed beside him for protection.
With a sweep of his Golden Phantom Eyes, Ye Liuyun imdiately noticed that the woodcutter was concealing his cultivation level. He was actually a martial practitioner with considerable strength.
"Hey, you can't go into the valley! There's been paranormal activity here recently!"
Just as Ye Liuyun was approaching, the woodcutter suddenly called out to him.
"Haunted? Or is it Griffin causing the trouble?" Ye Liuyun asked with a smile.
The woodcutter froze for a mont, then the foolish look on his face disappeared. He coldly threatened Ye Liuyun, saying, "Outsider, you'd better not get involved in local matters, or you'll lose your life without making any profit!"
Ye Liuyun's Scarlet Phantom Eyes flashed with a gleam and he launched an illusionary attack on the woodcutter using his Divine Soul.
"How many of you?" Ye Liuyun asked.
"Seven!" The woodcutter's Divine Soul power was no match for Ye Liuyun's, and he quickly fell under Ye Liuyun's control, truthfully answering his question.
Ye Liuyun asked about their exact location, then ordered, "Give your interspatial ring. Celestia and Granth are trailing behind, and I need you to stop them."
The woodcutter imdiately tossed the interspatial ring to Ye Liuyun, then calmly sat back down, as if nothing had happened and resud waiting.
Ye Liuyun put the interspatial ring into his possession, then tossed the sound transmission talisman back to the woodcutter. He instructed him to remind Griffin that Celestia and Granth were planning to steal their business.
He then walked into Mist Valley, heading towards the bottom of the valley.
Inside the valley, Griffin, along with five assassins, was conducting a wide search. They spread out like a net as they moved forward.
After receiving the report from the woodcutter outside, Griffin imdiately notified the others, instructing them to speed up and advance further.
"Everyone, step it up! Celestia and Granth are coming to steal our kills. Let's aim to capture the Mystic Fox first, then we'll deal with them."
"The Mystic Fox is too cunning and has set up too many traps. Should we deal with Celestia first?" Soone suggested.
Griffin, however, said to the others, "No need. These traps will slow Celestia and the others down as well. We're almost at the bottom of the valley. If we move a bit faster, we'll catch the Mystic Fox soon!"
After so discussion, they didn't stop. Instead, they continued moving forward.
Ye Liuyun, relying on his Golden Phantom Eyes, was able to detect the traps in advance as he made his way through.
He had already learned about the Mystic Fox when he received the mission. He knew that the Mystic Fox was a master at setting up traps. As a result, he remained particularly cautious throughout the journey.
But with his Golden Phantom Eyes and the fact that so of the traps had already been destroyed by Griffin and his group, Ye Liuyun moved through the valley at a much faster pace.
Before long, the woodcutter outside the valley clashed with Celestia and Granth. However, the two of them tead up and quickly killed him.
When Griffin and the others couldn't get in touch with the woodcutter, they knew for sure that Celestia and the others had entered the valley.
However, after Celestia and the others entered the valley, their pace slowed down, and they were soon left behind by Ye Liuyun.
"That guy sure knows how to move fast!" Granth remarked with a hint of admiration.
"He saw through my disguise, so he probably has so special ability that allows him to see the traps set by the Mystic Fox as well. That's why he's moving so quickly!" Celestia analyzed.
