Ye Liuyun himself felt rather indifferent. The Deputy Headmaster took out two things after exchanging glances with his colleague, "Young man, co take a look. Can you tell what are these and their properties?"
Ye Liuyun didn't even approach to take a look, only took a quick glance from far with his Golden Phantom Eyes. "That's a Dragon Grass, must be a thousand years old or so. Often used by the Dragon Clan for elixirs, or as baits for feral beasts. But this one of yours is polluted by Devil Qi, it can't be used.
The other one is a Spring Bug pupa, for antiabortifacient elixirs. This here has already rotted in the inside, guess it wasn't stored properly, so it's not usable either."
"Dragon Grass can also be used as ferocious beast baits?"
"Sure, if used correctly, it can be even better than Dragon Blood!" Ye Liuyun casually answered.
"Then please have a look for , how should this formula be modified?" He imdiately stood up and handed over his formula for a bait elixir.
Ye Liuyun imdiately crossed out two items and replaced them with Dragon Grass.
"Although Murraya has a strong scent, but a lot of the feral beasts couldn't sll it. It's better used as a food seasoning.
Dragon Blood might be tempting for them, but it rely satisfies their appetite, hard to fool them if they sense danger. No better than Dragon Grass, they're obsessed with it."
Ye Liuyun knew their habits very well from the years of raising feral beasts and demons.
"Great, great!" He praised repeatedly and carefully put away the paper.
The Headmaster followed up, "How could you tell from this far that his Dragon Grass and the pupa have issues?"
"My eyes are quite special." Ye Liuyun did not conceal.
These were definitely not things that ordinary eyes could see.
"Ah! If only I had t you earlier!" The Deputy Headmaster struck his thigh with a sigh.

"Huh? How did you get ahead again? It was who's looking for a student, what are you doing here?" The Deputy quickly grabbed Ma Tiantong before he could approach Ye Liuyun.
He also began to persuade Ye Liuyun, "Don't get fooled by his title, his skills are not as high as mine. Take as your master, I'm Jin Dayong, by the way. I have lots of fascinating materials here!"
"Give it a rest, showing off those dumb things of yours..."
Both of them suddenly began to fight over Ye Liuyun. They would've started attacking each other if Master Yao did not stop them on ti.
This left Ye Liuyun sowhat bewildered. It was completely unexpected!
Lin Xiyao was laughing on the side, covering her mouth with her hand.
Ma Tiantong shouted at the top of his lungs, "This kid is so much better than you, he's going to catch up with up just with a little more practice. What hilarious idea for him to call you master!"
"How about you? How much better are you than him? If he were to get himself a famous master from the central region, he will surpass you before too long!" Jin Dayong shouted back.
After shouting at each other, both of them fell silent, and one after the other, sighed and sat down, leaving Ye Liuyun at a loss for words.
"Never mind, you should find a proper master in the central after this." Ma Tiantong broke the silence.
"Indeed, we're barely qualified to teach such talent. You need a stronger master!" Jin Dayong added.
"Both of them seem a bit crazy!" Ye Liuyun thought to himself.
He did breathe a sigh of relief, though. He never thought of finding himself a master anyways, he didn't have ti for it.
"How about this, I'll take you as my student in na, so it would be easier for you if you were to find yourself another master. When your realm is high enough, I'll recomnd you to the central.
During this ti, you'll join us two old folks once a month to practice alchemy for a few days, learn a bit more from us to improve your alchemy skills. How does that sound?"
Ye Liuyun found this arrangent acceptable.
Plus, they had been extrely accommodating towards him. He quickly expressed his gratitude to the two palace masters.
Then only they rembered to ask him for his na.
Ye Liuyun was speechless at this. They almost made him their disciple without even knowing his na.
"How should we determine Ye Liuyun's alchemy ranking?" spoke Master Yao.
"Five!" Both palace masters said in unison.
"I've already tested his understanding of herbs and their uses, with the sa fifth-tier bait elixir I used that year."
Ma Tiantong also added, "His fla and the Rank Five Elixir he produced are worthy of the qualifications of a Rank Five Alchemist!"
Master Yao imdiately announce Ye Liuyun's success in the qualification in the Rank Five test, and went to prepare his alchemist badge right away.
Lin Xiyao, on the other hand, was left utterly dumbfounded.
She was already astonished when the two palace masters wanted to take Ye Liuyun as a disciple. But to her surprise, in the end, both palace masters agreed that they were not worthy to be Ye Liuyun's masters.
And not only did Ye Liuyun learned quick, but he also made improvents on his own. His knowledge of dicinal herbs and theory was evidently far more extensive than hers.
Compared with him, she felt like she fell short by a large margin.
Shortly after, Master Yao ca back with two badges, asking Ye Liuyun to input his Divine Sense into both. One to be kept in the Alliance for record, the other for Ye Liuyun to carry with him.
Ye Liuyun didn't wear it, but kept it stashed away instead.
"With this badge, you can freely enter and leave the Hall. Your na and rank as an alchemist will soon be engraved on the wall of alchemists outside the hall, too!"
"Thanks for the help, sir!" Ye Liuyun courteously thanked him.
Even though he was now at the sa level as Master Yao and a nominal disciple of the Palace Master, there was no sign of pride in him.
"Haha, if there were more alchemists like you, I wouldn't mind doing a bit more," Master Yao was clearly very pleased.
"Congratulations! You're now a Fifth-Tier Alchemist!" Lin Xiyao also ca forward to congratulate Ye Liuyun.
