"Why do you need the stone puppet?" Ye Liuyun asked in confusion.
"I don't have ti to explain, hurry up and bring it to !" Qiong Qi hinted to Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun don't feel comfortable to pursue further and handed a stone puppet to Qiong Qi.
Qiong Qi imdiately sucked it into the Bronze Cauldron, and then began practicing.
"What does he want to do?" Ye Liuyun asked Lei Ming in confusion.
"I guess he wants to use that stone puppet to refine a body for the fire phoenix, and then find a way to fool it!" Lei Ming passed the ssage to Ye Liuyun.
At this point, Ye Liuyun suddenly felt a sharp pain in his Divine Sense. The strand of his Divine Sense left in the stone puppet had been erased!
"This guy! He didn't even tell ahead of ti!" Ye Liuyun complained.
Fortunately, his Divine Sense was strong, and he didn't care that much about the loss. Otherwise, it would cause serious backlash.
Now he had nothing to do but wait and see what trick Qiong Qi would play.
After waiting for a long ti, Qiong Qi finally stood up with a glowing face.
Yet, his expression was one of deep regret, and he continued to sigh. Without greeting Ye Liuyun, he walked directly towards the lava pool.
Ye Liuyun didn't ask, just waited to watch his performance.
The head of a fire phoenix erged from the lava pool and began a conversation with Qiong Qi.
Qiong Qi gestured and spoke, behaving strangely.
Lei Ming continued to translate for Ye Liuyun, "He said the fla wasn't strong enough, the refining failed. He asked fire phoenix for more fire power... and promised that it would succeed next ti..."
After that, Ye Liuyun saw Qiong Qi releasing the stone puppet.
The stone puppet had evidently been modified by Qiong Qi with yellow sand, but only more than half of it had been altered, the upper half was still not completely integrated with the yellow sand.
The fire phoenix clearly did not understand the art of Weapon-refining either; after chatting with Qiong Qi for a while, it discharged so fire energy, which Qiong Qi stored in the damaged Bronze Cauldron.
Qiong Qi once again put the stone puppet in the copper pot and carried the pot away.
"Don't worry, watch my performance! It's almost there with two more tries!" Qiong Qi told Ye Liuyun through a voice transmission, then returned to his cultivation.
Ye Liuyun was left bewildered.
"Two more tries, can fire phoenix believe him?"
But now all he could do was to continue waiting!
When Qiong Qi finally completed his cultivation, he excitedly ran towards the lava pool, summoned fire phoenix, and showed it the newly refined stone puppet.
This ti, the stone puppet was fully replaced by yellow sand, its whole body beca a soil-yellow color.
Then Qiong Qi shalessly asked fire phoenix for more fire energy.
The fire phoenix hesitated for a mont but still gave him so fla power.
Lei Ming transmitted a ssage to Ye Liuyun, "Is the fire phoenix an idiot? He tricked it into opening a Ocean of Consciousness in the Stone Golems' body to condense its Divine Soul. And it actually believed him! "
Ye Liuyun was also puzzled, wondering how the fire phoenix could be easily fooled.
He asked Lei Ming to detail what exactly Qiong Qi had said.
"He was trying to con that fire phoenix. Creating a Ocean of Consciousness isn't as simple as burning a hole into the rock; it needs to be arranged according to the Formation inside the stone puppet. In short, once he started explaining it, the difficulty rose to the level of terraforming the four seas!" Lei Ming elaborated to Ye Liuyun.
She didn't quite understand the concept of Formation either. She just felt that Qiong Qi was trying to deceive that fire phoenix.
"Yeah, it surely isn't as simple as burning a hole, but it absolutely wouldn't be as complicated as he said either!" Ye Liuyun speculated.
But Qiong Qi had returned and resud his cultivation.
Ye Liuyun couldn't ask him, so all he could do was wait.
After Qiong Qi had finished cultivating, he didn't rush off to see the fire phoenix but ca to communicate with Ye Liuyun first.
"I am going to seal a portion of the fire phoenix's power inside this stone puppet. Prepare the individuals with ice abilities by your side. The mont I signal, you must imdiately freeze this stone puppet," Qiong Qi instructed Ye Liuyun.
He also reminded him, "We only have one chance, if we ss up, we will have to resort to strong force!"
"Sure!" Ye Liuyun answered, imdiately releasing his ice-attribute martial practitioner. He also privately briefed them.
After Qiong Qi had finished communicating with the fire phoenix, he beckoned Ye Liuyun and the others to co over.
Lei Ming continuously whispered instructions to Ye Liuyun, keeping him updated on the conversation between Qiong Qi and the fire phoenix.
Qiong Qi planned to trick the fire phoenix into residing inside the stone puppet.
For the fire phoenix to be able to leave, soone must absorb the Power of Ice to reduce the cold air released by the ice crystal.
"Both these tasks have to be carried out simultaneously!" After Qiong Qi explained this to the fire phoenix, he repeated it to the group.
"fire phoenix needs to transfer herself into this stone puppet. You all need to absorb the Power of Ice from the ice crystal. We do it at the sa ti."
"Alright!" Ye Liuyun agreed while notifying everyone to first absorb the Power of Ice from the ice crystal. Once they received Qiong Qi's signal, they imdiately froze the stone puppet.
And so, everyone sat by the lava, starting to absorb the Power of Ice from the ice crystal.
With 300 martial practitioner, combined with the intensive absorption from Man Shu and Ye Liuyun, the Power of Ice in the ice crystal naturally decreased pretty quickly.
Fire phoenix also extracted so of her surplus strength, and moved it into the stone puppet.
The stone puppet had its entire body subrged in yellow sand except for a small gap in its forehead. Fire phoenix transferred the power of fla into the stone puppet's body through that tiny gap in its forehead.
Initially, she cautiously tested it with the power of fla to prevent Qiong Qi from playing tricks, then sent a fire elf in to investigate.
Once the Fire Elf entered, the stone puppet ca "alive" imdiately. Its eyes opened, its head and limbs could move and it even walked two steps. As a trial, it released a palm of fla.
Once all was confird to be fine, fire phoenix was satisfied and called back the Fire Elf, also starting to release her purest fla force into it.
Unperturbed, Qiong Qi continued to guide everyone to absorb the Power of Ice without revealing anything unusual.
The fire phoenix waited for a while before she was finally unable to resist the fascination with the stone puppet.
She looked inside but imdiately retreated to observe the expressions of the people.
She only felt relieved when she saw everyone focused on absorbing the Power of Ice.
"With a 'whoosh', a large amount of fla power was instantly drawn into it, brought into the stone puppet. A line of fire connected the stone puppet and the lava pool, continuously absorbing the fla power into the stone puppet.
Now, as Ye Liuyun and the others absorb the Power of Ice, it can draw away an equivalent amount of fla power from the lava pool. It will continue to do so until all the Power of Ice inside the crystal is completely absorbed, at which point it will have gained complete freedom.
As soon as the fire phoenix entered the stone puppet's body, it imdiately opened its eyes, staring at Ye Liuyun and the others, fearing any movent from them.
But seeing everyone continuing to absorb, it completely relaxed as well.
