Ye Liuyun and the Devil Clan army, after advancing with the main force for a while, ca to a halt, avoiding the risk of being surrounded by the foreign race.
They dispatched scouts to observe the advance of the main army.
"Once the main army moves forward, we'll be entering the heart of the foreign race-controlled territory. This should be the best spot for an ambush," Qin Peng explained to Ye Liuyun and Zuo Mu, pointing at the map.
"But what if that puppet army runs into trouble?" Zuo Mu inquired.

Ye Liuyun chid in. "Prepare for battle, everyone! I'm convinced this is a trap, although I doubt the main army will believe us. They've been blinded by victory and are only thinking about claiming credit!"
Zuo Mu also nodded. "Alright, let's get ready for battle."
Qin Peng pointed at the map and suggested, "We can strike preemptively and eliminate the two foreign race armies responsible for closing the encirclent."
He indicated the routes of the two foreign race armies. "If this is a trap, these two armies are most likely the ones closing in on us. Ti-wise, they're the only ones who can make it. They're also the nearest to us."
Zuo Mu agreed with Qin Peng after examining the map.
"Good, then let's attack them. Each of us will be responsible for one route."
"Don't rush!" Ye Liuyun cautioned Zuo Mu. "Wait a bit longer, until they close the encirclent. We strike just before they do, to prevent the foreign race from adjusting their strategy."
"Understood!" Zuo Mu acknowledged and imdiately went out to convey the orders, preparing for battle.
"How confident are we in extracting our people?" Ye Liuyun asked Qin Peng.
"Extract them all? It'd be lucky if we can get half of them out!" Qin Peng said helplessly.
"Just do your best!" Ye Liuyun replied, equally resigned.
Then, for the last ti, he used a Sound Transmission Talisman to inform the main army and Emperor Xia about his assessnt of the foreign race's encirclent.
However, he didn't ntion the plan to ambush the two foreign race armies.
He suspected there might be spies from the foreign race within the imperial army. Even if there weren't, it was better to be cautious. Prevention was better than cure, after all.
Besides, his Devil Clan's army, along with Zuo Mu, didn't report to the imperial army. They operated independently, so there was no need to report every detail to Emperor Xia.
Emperor Xia wasn't on the front lines and couldn't fully grasp the situation.
Ye Liuyun did, however, remind the main army's commander, Cheng Gang.
But Cheng Gang's mind was clouded by victory. He had never experienced such a smooth battle against the foreign race before.
The puppet army was unstoppable, defeating the foreign race army effortlessly. They even reached the foreign race's central forces, completely shattering them. This was an opportunity they couldn't afford to miss.
Cheng Gang argued vehently with Emperor Xia, providing nurous reasons to counter Ye Liuyun's claims. He believed the foreign race's movent indicated an intention to intercept the main army.
Emperor Xia had no choice. He had to trust his commanders. Battlefield situations were constantly changing, and he couldn't interfere with the judgnts made by commanders based on the real-ti conditions.
However, knowing Ye Liuyun well, Emperor Xia was aware that Ye Liuyun wouldn't make baseless claims.
After so hesitation, he ordered Cheng Gang to withdraw the two hundred thousand troops.
Cheng Gang reluctantly agreed. He believed the situation was still favorable with the remaining forces.
He ordered the Fourth Prince to lead the two hundred thousand troops back to join forces with Ye Liuyun.
The Fourth Prince was frustrated. Just as he was about to achieve a significant victory and gain military rit, he was reassigned.
This move was detrintal to his chances of succeeding to the throne, so he harbored a deep grudge against Ye Liuyun.
Despite his frustrations, he had to obey orders.
He led the two hundred thousand troops back, filled with resentnt, while Cheng Gang continued to advance with the puppet army, determined to break through the enemy lines.
As the Fourth Prince led his troops in retreat, Ye Liuyun and Zuo Mu initiated their attacks on the foreign race's armies.
Ye Liuyun's forces were strong, and their battle concluded first.
Before defeating the foreign race commander, Ye Liuyun conducted the Soul Searching Technique.
"They are indeed planning to encircle us!" Ye Liuyun confird the foreign race's intentions.
However, he couldn't fathom how the foreign race planned to deal with the puppet elite troops.
Regardless, Ye Liuyun contacted Emperor Xia once more.
"The foreign race is indeed planning to encircle us. I obtained this information through Soul Searching," Ye Liuyun inford Emperor Xia.
Emperor Xia imdiately notified Cheng Gang.
However, Cheng Gang believed that the foreign race's attempt to encircle them would be futile against the puppet army's onslaught.
"Regardless, you need to halt your advance!"
Emperor Xia issued a stern command.
Ye Liuyun reached out to the Fourth Prince.
"Where are you?" Ye Liuyun asked directly.
"Thanks to your arrangents, I am currently retreating! I fear I might never have a chance at the throne again!" The Fourth Prince complained bitterly.
"Hurry and accelerate your retreat. You're about to be surrounded! We've already engaged in battle here!"
Ye Liuyun didn't care whether he believed it or not. He stored the Sound Transmission Talisman away and imdiately ordered his troops to converge towards the foreign race's encirclent, neglecting even cleaning up the battlefield.
On the other side, after Zuo Mu's victory, he swiftly adhered to his agreent with Ye Liuyun and moved towards the outer periphery of the foreign race's encirclent.
Upon receiving Ye Liuyun's ssage, the Fourth Prince grew more alert.
"Since we're going back anyway, we better hasten our retreat. What if sothing really happens!"
With this thought in mind, he finally ordered his troops to speed up their withdrawal.
Cheng Gang's leading army suddenly ca to a halt.
Feeling puzzled, the commanders approached him seeking an explanation.
"It's that Ye Liuyun again, claiming there's danger, saying the foreign race intends to surround us!" Cheng Gang was clearly very impatient.
"I bet he's afraid he won't get any credit if we move forward, so he's making us stop and wait for him!" So commanders complained.
However, a few cautious commanders imdiately ordered their troops to be on guard.
They believed that if Ye Liuyun didn't have the ability, he wouldn't have made the enemies fear him on the battlefield.
