Lord Yan, The Little Ancestor Has Fallen Off The Horse Again! Chapter 84 Parental Doubts
Lin Xuanze wore a playful smile that flitted aningfully across his puzzled face and laughed, "Just wait and see."
Yun Zhonghai looked at him annoyed, what kind of mystery could there be, surely it couldn’t be Yun Yue, could it?!
The vice-principal cald the parents and began to announce the first place, "First place, Class Seven’s Yun Yue!"
Thud--
Yun Zhonghai slid off his chair, thankful it was grass beneath and not concrete or his butt would have ’blossod’.
He received odd looks from the people around as he sheepishly got up from the ground and sat back on his chair, unable to keep his composure.
The vice-principal’s words echoed in his mind.
First place, Class Seven’s Yun Yue!
Class Seven’s Yun Yue!
Yun Yue!
He felt extrely agitated, barely touching his seat with his butt.
His hands trembling, he lit a cigarette, only to realize he was in a public place and had to sheepishly put it back in his pocket, fumbling for quite so ti before he found it.
Lin Xuanze, seeing his state, smiled and asked, "Dad, are you okay?"
"I’m, I’m fine," he replied shakily, taking a deep breath to suppress the shock. He had been so startled earlier, now wondering if it was a case of mistaken identity, because there’s no way his good-for-nothing daughter could be the top of the grade.
It must be soone with the sa na.
He thought uncertainly, wanting it to be true, yet finding it hard to believe.
"Xuan Ze, tell the truth, is this first-place Yun Yue your sister?"
The boy must have been waiting for this mont, that’s why he had a sly smile earlier.
"Yeah! It’s your daughter, my sister!" boasted Lin Xuanze, pride swelling as he felt the gaze of those around them.
You guys don’t have a sibling who’s the top of the grade, but he did.
Not only was she academically excellent, but she was also incredibly beautiful!
Lin Xiang was in a similar state of shock as Yun Zhonghai, desperately trying to maintain her graceful composure.
However, her eyes were wide open with surprise, and it took her a long while to co to her senses.
"Mrs. Lin, are you alright?" Qu Yilan looked at her, surprised. Could it be that she didn’t know just how impressive her stepdaughter was?
Qu Yilan had to call her several tis before Lin Xiang responded, a strange look flickering in her eyes, "I’m fine, that first place just shares the sa na as my Yueyue. I didn’t expect the world to be this small, to encounter a nasake in the sa class."
Yun Yue paused in her ga, losing a life, and gave Lin Xiang a deep, aningful glance.
Class Seven students looked at her with astonishnt. This stepmother must have grown up eating cutesy stuff!
They didn’t expect her to be so adorable!
But a boss is still a boss, securing the top spot in the grade without even ntioning it at ho. If they had been first in their grade, they would have told their parents right away, who would have been boasting about it, banging gongs and drums.
She was way too low-profile.
Their admiration and perception of Yun Yue jumped up a notch.
Qu Yilan was montarily stunned as well, then smiled, "It looks like Yun Yue hasn’t told you, there’s no such thing as a nasake, the first place is your Yun Yue."
Lin Xiang’s smile froze on her face as she grappled with Qu Yilan’s words, "The first place is her Yun Yue."
Her Yun Yue.
Her own.
"Yueyue, you..." She looked at Yun Yue, who was still calmly playing on her phone, with a mix of delight and uncertainty. How could she still be focused on her phone at a ti like this?!
"It was ." Her eyes and brows drooped, her voice clear, cold, and calm, the fine, long lashes trembling slightly as she spoke, her straight nose sharp and exceedingly beautiful.
Lin Xiang almost fainted with shock at her two words, having weathered many storms in the business world, but now she couldn’t maintain her composure.
"You, you—I..." Lin Xiang stood up excitedly, unable to get out a complete sentence, her hair tips trembling.
Qu Yilan smiled. "Please sit down. So many people are watching."
She hadn’t expected Lin Xiang to be unaware. Her son had rushed to them both to share the news the day the results ca out.
Initially, they assud he was joking when he boasted about being in the top five. It wasn’t until he showed them his results they believed him, and then he attributed his success in getting into the top five entirely to her.
The description was quite mystical, and they had so doubts.
But after eting her in person, they realized her son hadn’t exaggerated at all.
The young girl had placed first in her grade yet remained so calm and composed, without arrogance or impatience; even she could not achieve such a fra of mind.
Lin Xiang sat down, her gentle eyebrows filled with shock, her face alight with mad joy and a touch of adorable dazedness.
"Mrs. Lin, I’m surprised you didn’t know. My kid bounced right up to that day and blackmailed good," Yang Qiukun said with a laugh, his gaze lingering on Yun Yue with admiration.
"Yueyue she keeps a low profile," said Lin Xiang, the only explanation she could muster. When she asked her last night how she did on the test, Yueyue had said it was average, just a normal performance.
If that’s a normal performance, what would an exceptional one look like?
"Now, we invite these students to co up on stage to receive their awards."
The vice principal’s voice was robust and powerful, his delight evident even in his tone.
Yun Yue had just finished a ga and lazily stood up, not sure who had suggested such a childish award ceremony.
She walked at a leisurely pace, with several classmates from Class Seven following her, looking smug.
"So this is what it feels like to receive an award on stage, it’s insanely cool!"
"Yeah! The first ti in my life!"
"Da is invincible!"
They were full of emotions, all eyes fixed on the dominant figure ahead, their faces splitting into grins.
They really had to thank Liu Xiaoyan for bringing the Da into their Class Seven.
When they got up on the stage, they stood in order.
Yun Yue positioned herself at the front, making it instantly clear to the parents that she was the top student.
"That girl is the top of the grade?!"
"That’s unbelievable!"
"But really, what’s going on with Class Seven this ti? They’ve nearly swept the top ten slots! Could there be so trickery?"
The parents, already unsettled upon hearing the rankings, grew even more so upon seeing Yun Yue, seriously doubting the authenticity of this month’s exam.
"Ladies and gentlen, please calm down. I understand there are doubts regarding the rankings, so allow to explain. This month’s exam papers were newly co-authored by The Top Ten Schools and released just days before the test, so there is no possibility of cheating."
"Last month was supposed to be the ti for a parent-teacher eting, but since Class Seven’s average scores caught up and surpassed Class One, we didn’t hold it to avoid any suspicions. Now, with this month’s exam, Class Seven has once again spoken with its own strength, outperforming Class One by an average of 10 points. The school is witness to Class Seven’s capabilities."
The vice principal’s remarks caused an uproar.
"Average scores surpassing Class One by 10 points? How is that possible?"
"We all know the foundation of Class Seven; this is absolutely impossible."
"Vice principal, have the parents of Class Seven offered the school any benefits, resulting in all the good resources being given to Class Seven? We, the parents of Class One, won’t accept this!"
"Right, we won’t either! We all pay the sa tuition, so why does Class Seven have access to such good resources that allow them to improve so quickly?!"
"We must have an explanation for this!"
