"The monthly test is tomorrow, are you all ready?"

Xiao Ye stood on the podium, smiling at the hard-working students of Class 7 bent over their assignnts.

He had been over the moon this past month, literally floating with every step he took.

With a grand gesture, Yang Xing said confidently, "Don’t worry, I’ve been looking forward to this day for a long ti. I definitely won’t let Class 7 down."

"That’s what I like to hear, that’s the confidence I need from you. After the monthly test results co out, there will be a parent-teacher eting. Yun Yue, no more ssing around, write the exam properly," Xiao Ye said aningfully, staring at her.

It was one thing to score zero on a usual test, but this monthly exam affected the whole class; she couldn’t play her usual gas.

"Got it," Yun Yue replied, helpless. She had already been called into the office to talk about this several tis.

Zhang Ziyue looked at her. She had thought Yun Yue was pretty and good at gaming; that being bad at studying didn’t seem to matter.

But ever since she found out Yun Yue was a top-scoring scholar, she had mixed feelings.

How could soone be so impressive?

It was as if the heavens left no room for the rest to live.

At noon, like always, Yun Yue went to the counseling room for a nap.

Xiao Chen and the others had been missing for nearly a month. He only ssaged her on WeChat to say he was going away for a while, telling her to eat and study well.

When she opened the door to the counseling room and saw the noble and elegant figure lying on the sofa, she was taken aback, raising an eyebrow as she sauntered over, "Back already?"

"Mhm," his voice was a bit low, eyes closed with a touch of fatigue. Several buttons on his collar were undone, revealing his pale skin and the prominent Adam’s apple that moved with his swallow.

Yun Yue looked at him, amusent flickering in her eyes that glead with a dark light.

His chest rose and fell powerfully, perhaps the clothes were too tight; she could vaguely see the lines of his abs.

The sofa was a bit short, leaving no place for his legs. Yun Yue brought over a chair, "Lift your leg."

Xiao Chen squinted at her, a handso curve forming on his lips. He lifted his leg, and as soon as she set the chair, he promptly put his leg on it.

"Go to sleep," he said with his eyes closed, his chiseled features radiating a wild nobility, his brows giving off a cold aura; he seed to have deliberately restrained himself a bit.

Yun Yue curved her lips and walked behind the screen to the bed, casually pulling the blanket over her as she lay down. She slept deeply until the bell for class rang, waking her up.

She sat up for a few seconds before getting out of bed. The person on the sofa seed to be still asleep, so she made sure to tread lightly.

"Take the cake on the desk, I bought it for you."

This sudden voice made her pause in her step, turning to look at the man on the sofa, still with closed eyes, exuding an air of nobility and elegance. Had he been asleep all along?

Could he hear even with her light steps?

But seeing the cake on the desk made her eyebrows lift, "Thanks."

She took the cake back to the classroom. The teacher hadn’t arrived yet, and she eagerly opened the cake box, beginning to eat with a fork, her face full of satisfaction.

So sweet.

Gu Yue watched her, or rather, watched the cake in her hands. Her eyesight was very good. Was he swallowing? Thirsting after the cake?

"..."

"Yun Yue." Zhang Ziyue tugged at her sleeve, eyeing the cake in her hand. Yun Yue leaned protectively toward it, raising an eyebrow, "What?"

"How can you eat cake in front of Gu Yue? He’ll die of envy," Zhang Ziyue said, looking at a drooling Gu Yue.

This was because soone had bought a cake for a birthday in the class before; people were still unfamiliar with him then, but they got to know him thoroughly over a cake.

The cream on that cake was sickeningly sweet, and hardly anyone ate it, except for him. He finished it all and seed afraid others might snatch it away. No one had ever seen such a sweet tooth.

Let him die of envy.

If she didn’t eat it, she would be the one dying of envy.

"Here you go." A pair of hands extended next to her, filled with many lollipops.

"What?" Yun Yue’s eyes sparkled as she looked at him, raising an eyebrow. Was the sun rising from the west?

"Would you actually give her your super aweso lollipop?"

He stared at the cake inside her desk, "I’ll trade you that cake."

Xiao Chen had bought her four cakes, so trading one for so many lollipops didn’t seem like a bad deal, so she went ahead and swapped with him.

Having secured the cake, Gu Yue appeared utterly satisfied, devouring a four-inch cake in just a few bites, his longing gaze turning back to her drawer.

Pfft!

"Keep dreaming; dreams have everything you could ever want, eat to your heart’s content."

She only had two left, not even a chance.

Gu Yue: "..."

Just a glance, and such a big reaction?!

Evening self-study.

They began setting up the exam hall, needing to move desks into the corridor, leaving only 30 desks per classroom; Yun Yue’s desk just happened to be one that needed to be moved out.

Without a word, Wang Ning picked up her desk and chair to carry them outside, "Boss, take a break, I got this."

Zhang Ziyue struggled beside them, her desk effortlessly hoisted on her shoulder, she moved with the agility of a swallow out into the corridor.

Class Seven’s students were gobsmacked.

Were these desks made of foam?

It must be their illusion.

Class Seven’s students comforted themselves.

Her presence was like a constant reminder that they were underachievers.

The next day was the exam.

Class Seven’s students beca the center of attention, the invigilators watching them without blinking, as if afraid of missing sothing.

This ti, Yun Yue unexpectedly stayed awake, diligently working through her paper, submitting her Chinese exam half an hour early, math one hour early...

Her antics put imnse pressure on everyone else in the exam room.

Knowing her abilities, they placed her in the first exam hall, last in the row in case other students tried to cheat.

Every ti Shen Xuan saw her leave the exam hall early, he had to reassure himself to stay calm and focus on his own exam.

The invigilator’s lips stretched to his ears with satisfaction upon seeing her completed test paper.

"Kid, you’re here again? Finished another exam paper?" Feng Ye teased with his arched eyebrows looking at her.

"Of course, who do you think I am?" Yun Yue boasted as she lounged on the couch playing video gas.

Feng Ye choked on her words. Was she delusional?

That looked like a zero, not a perfect score.

As if she was sothing special.

Curious, he sat next to her, tilted his head, and asked, "Just wondering, have you made any progress this month, can you score 100 across six subjects combined?"

Yun Yue’s eyebrows lifted, the corners of her upward-slanting eyes wicked and wild, with a mischievous grin: "Aren’t you overestimating , can I even get 100?"

The smile on Feng Ye’s face froze. Not even 100?

Could she even get into any of Beijing’s universities?

No worries, no worries, with Master Chen around, as long as she wants to study in Beijing, Jing University can make it happen for her.

Trying to comfort himself, Feng Ye still couldn’t keep his composure, "No, your horoom teacher said yesterday that you’ve shown significant improvent recently, why do you seem like you haven’t improved at all?"

"I have improved, I got zero before, at least I should get a 730 on this test." Yun Yue held her phone, sounds of chaotic killings emanating from it.

Feng Ye: "..."

You’ve improved alright, you’ve beco even better at boasting.

You could blow that bull right into outer space.
