"I think I can solo kill the opposing Mage," Jin Quan said, controlling the steering wheel and ignoring Huo Baoming’s advice to charge forward without the marksman.

"Don’t go..." Huo Baoming frowned, the Mage on the other side showed up, but everyone else was hidden; they could be lying in wait in the grass.

Sure enough, just as he predicted, the mont he charged in, all four of the opponents ca into view.

His three teammates, seeing him engage, rushed over to support. The enemy was prepared; after Jin Quan dealt so damage, he was instantly killed, and the remaining three also died after dealing their own damage.

Only the opposing Mage perished.

We only had one marksman left, with a 6,000 gold economic gap, forced to defend the high ground.

If it had been just once, fine, but he never listened to commands. Throughout the ga, he was just racking up kills on his own with no semblance of teamwork.

Because of his aggressive playstyle, everyone had to adapt their strategy, yet despite that, we continued to fail.

A mistake in the last teamfight led directly to our loss in this match.

Lu Cheng, unable to contain his frustration, slamd his phone down on the table.

He glared at Jin Quan, "Jin Quan, can’t you cooperate properly? This is a team ga, not your own solo performance!"

"Just because of your aggressive playstyle, we’ve lost so many fights and exposed so many weaknesses!"

"Lu Cheng," Huo Baoming interjected with a frown, seeing the dissatisfaction in their teammates. He tried to console them, "The real competition is the day after tomorrow; there’s still a chance."

"With him like this, training every day is as good as not training at all. What improvent can we expect?" Lu Cheng was livid.

Another loss like this, and we wouldn’t even qualify for the KPL.

"I..." Jin Quan sulked, his playstyle had always been this way. It had never been a problem in the second team, but who knew it would turn out like this in the first team.

Yun Yue leaned against the door, unseen; they were too engrossed in the ga to notice when she entered.

Glancing at the screen’s data, she could only describe the ga as atrocious.

"With skills this poor, why even bother with KPL? Just go ho," the girl’s arrogant and conceited voice cut through, shocking everyone as they turned to look at the door.

"Captain," Lu Cheng said, surprised to see the girl who had suddenly appeared before them.

A pair of striking, long legs impossible to ignore, the sa cap, and an attitude just as arrogant and overbearing.

"That was quick; how did the exam go?" Huo Baoming held his forehead, dismayed that she had witnessed their team at its worst.

"Not bad," Yun Yue raised an eyebrow, glancing at him. Had these people been off the internet for several days?

They didn’t ask further; when the captain used to spend every day with them, she never seed to study. They all suspected she was academically challenged.

So if she said not bad, it certainly ant the opposite.

"Is this your training?" Her sharp gaze swept over everyone present.

Everyone was too intimidated to even breathe heavily, let alone talk back.

They played so poorly; they were embarrassed to even claim they were part of Team YYD.

Jin Quan looked at the girl before him, skin white as snow, exuding wildness and arrogance, and the cap on her head seed familiar.

Did Lu Cheng just call her captain?

His gaze sharpened, and he held his breath, "Are you Y?"

Her gaze shifted to him, the corners of her eyes carrying a chill that made him shiver uncontrollably.

"Let’s play another ga, I’ll watch."

"No..." Lu Cheng started to protest but was silenced by her icy stare, swallowing his words.

"Then let’s play another ga," Huo Baoming spoke up, patting Jin Quan on the shoulder with a gentle voice, "Play well."

Jin Quan sneaked a glance at Yun Yue’s expression, his heart thumping with nervousness.

He was a die-hard fan of Y, had joined YYD because of her, never expecting to et her in his lifeti, but there she was right in front of him.

During the hero selection phase, he picked the hero that Y was best at, which was also his personal best choice.

At the start of the ga, after clearing his own jungle, he went to ambush in the mid-lane bush, catching the enemy off guard and securing first blood.

He sneaked a glance at Yun Yue’s expression, noticing that half of her face was hidden under the brim of her hat, cool and expressionless.

Only when the ga ended did she speak up.

"I won’t bother looking at the stats; you all know what they are," she said, starting with the most problematic issues. "Jinxing, is it? At 6 minutes and 36 seconds, you chased the enemy’s injured Mage, only to be counter-killed. At 8 minutes and 12 seconds, you chased the enemy ADC and got counter-killed again... After winning a teamfight, you didn’t counter-jungle but went to tower-dive the enemy support, which resulted in feeding..."

She pointed out nurous flaws, and every incident was accurately tid, leaving Jinxing’s face in shock.

She hadn’t written anything down; she directly recited the details, aning she rembered exactly when and how he died.

"Lu Cheng, you had several opportunities to support the jungle; why didn’t you?" she continued.

...

After she had spoken to all five players, they all bowed their heads.

It was terrifying.

That familiar oppressive feeling returned, as if their spirits were being intensely squeezed.

"Jin Quan, can you improve?" Yun Yue’s eyes were indifferent, emotionless, but carried an oppressive force that made it hard to breathe.

"I... I’ll try," Jin Quan replied without confidence, causing Yun Yue to frown and the others, including Lu Cheng, to glance at him with sympathy.

In Y’s eyes, there were no half asures and no room for failure—only success.

Otherwise, you might as well pack your bags and get lost.

Without saying much more, she instructed, "You all keep practicing. Huo Baoming, co out with ."

Lu Cheng watched Huo Baoming follow her out, with everyone anxious to follow but halted by Yun Yue’s intimidating gaze.

"The captain must be taking Ming Shen to see a doctor, right?" Lu Cheng asked, his voice laced with nerves.

"That would be my guess."

The group peered anxiously through a gap, watching their backs and hoping for the best.

"Is she really Y?" Jin Quan still couldn’t believe it; he had actually t Y herself.

"Genuine article," Lu Cheng replied irritably, glancing at him. "The captain has been lenient with you. If it were us back in the day, she would have already put us through the wringer."

As a devoted fan of Y, he surely knew how the forr YYD players described her—the Demon Captain.

Xiao Feng surveyed the club—quite a distinctive place.

Yun Yue walked out with Huo Baoming, and all eyes turned toward them.

Inside, one team was training, with strict instructions not to be disturbed. She went in for about thirty minutes before coming back out, leaving the second team curious about Yun Yue’s identity.

She had Huo Baoming sit down, then pulled out a small grey pouch from her backpack and opened it to reveal silver needles of varying lengths.

"?!," everyone gasped.

Xiao Chen glimpsed the pack of silver needles, and his dark, deep eyes glead for a mont, his eyebrows raising in an intrigued twitch.

Xiao Feng, not understanding her intentions, asked, "Miss Yun, are you practicing voodoo?"

Yun Yue’s slender fingers brushed over the delicate silver needles, and raising an eyebrow, she looked at him teasingly, then picked up a needle.

Looking at the chilling needle, he wisely shut his mouth, fearing she might stitch his lips closed.

She turned to Huo Baoming, "Hold out your hand."
