She dared not show any disrespect to Qu Yilan. After all, her standing was clear: she was just a housewife, but Qu Yilan was with the Beijing Piano Association.

Once Shen Xuan gained a firm footing at the Piano Association, she wouldn’t have to put up with her any longer.

He Minzhen had been scanning the crowd as if searching for soone. Upon seeing Lin Xiang, her eyes lit up and she walked over.

Standing out with her height and well-maintained appearance, and being from an old Beijing family, she naturally exuded an oppressive elegance that made most people fearfully respect her, let alone approach her for conversation.

"Mrs. Wei, I’ve been looking all over for you, and here you are!" Bai Hui spotted He Minzhen and imdiately went up to talk to her.

She had wanted to chat with her upon arrival, but after asking a server, she learned that she hadn’t co out yet. Since the event was being held outside the Wei family villa, she couldn’t just walk into soone’s ho without being invited.

Now that she saw her co out, she couldn’t wait to go up and strike up a conversation.

He Minzhen stared at her for a while without recognition. It was only after her female secretary reminded her from behind that she rembered and nodded slightly, revealing a standard smile: "Mrs. Shen."

After all, the Shen Family had produced soone in the Piano Association, but it was said that the Shen’s son was also doing well in Beijing. Given ti, the Shen Family’s status was bound to rise.

"So Mrs. Wei does rember . I thought you, a person of high status, had a short mory and had long since forgotten about ," Bai Hui was prepared to be snubbed but was unexpectedly recognized by her.

She and He Minzhen had t at a charitable donation event before, where she had helped her.

Bai Hui cast an inconspicuous glance at two other people nearby, with a hint of showing off.

Lin Xiang and Qu Yilan had clearly seen He Minzhen as well. Although they had never t her in person, they knew that she was the only lady who could be addressed as Mrs. Wei at the event, and both gave her a gracious smile and greeting.

"Mrs. Wei..." Bai Hui had just started to speak and offer her congratulations when the person in front of her walked past her to the side, shocking her by approaching Lin Xiang with a greeting.

"Are you Mrs. Lin Xiang?" He Minzhen asked with a hint of uncertainty.

Her husband had told her that Lin Xiang of the Lin Group was Yun Yue’s stepmother and treated her quite well; Yun Yue also had great respect for her. The reason she recognized her was that she had seen her photos online.

Being addressed in this way by He Minzhen, Lin Xiang was sowhat flattered; she hesitated for a mont before nodding, "Yes, I am. Is there sothing you need, Mrs. Wei?"

He Minzhen’s smile deepened, "No, nothing at all. You are our honored guest today, and it’s only right that I offer you the warst welco."

Lin Xiang: "..."

The entire banquet was filled with important figures, and being called an honored guest by her made Lin Xiang even more flattered, wondering when she had beco such in He Minzhen’s words.

If she wasn’t mistaken, the two of them had never t or even greeted each other before, and this warm greeting gave her an illusion of familiarity.

"This must be Mrs. Yang," He Minzhen then greeted Qu Yilan.

Bai Hui stood by with an extrely unpleasant expression. It took her quite a while to be recognized by He Minzhen, and yet, these two were directly addressed by na; Qu Yilan was one thing, but why Lin Xiang?

She was even called an honored guest; any random person at the event would have a higher status than her!

Was Mrs. Wei making so kind of mistake?

Qu Yilan was lofty towards Bai Hui and sowhat cautious with He Minzhen.

"Both of you co with ; let’s have a good chat," He Minzhen said with a smile as she led them forward.

A Volkswagen drove in at the entrance, and everyone looked on curiously.

This was the Wei family villa after all, where their vehicles were parked not too far away in the parking lot. This Volkswagen must belong to soone from the Wei family.

It couldn’t possibly be Mayor Wei, after all, he had just been chatting with soone else.

Wei Xuan got out of the car, his long legs hitting the ground, and his handso face caught everyone’s attention. He bore a striking resemblance to Wei Guohang, and one glance was enough for everyone to guess who he was.

There had long been rumors that Mayor Wei had a son whom Mrs. Wei adored to the skies, yet no one had ever seen him. Today, upon first sight, he lived up to his reputation: wild, unruly, and flamboyant.

Assistant Zhang got out of the car and imdiately opened the passenger door, carefully protecting her head from above: "Miss Yun, please get out of the car."

Yun Yue tucked away her phone and looked up to realize that the car had entered the Wei family’s villa. At that mont, dozens of pairs of eyes were focused on her. She slowly put her phone into her pocket, and her slender, delicate legs erged from the vehicle.

Standing lazily, her deanor bold and carefree, the night wind was a bit strong, causing her long, black, silky hair to shine with a lacquer-like gloss under the lights.

The exquisite features took everyone’s breath away; the young girl wore the uniform of First Middle School, yet she made it look as if it had been custom-tailored for her. This was virtually a high-end custom-made feel.

Everyone knew that high school uniforms made anyone look unflattering, and it was rare for soone like her to make it look stunning. Even rarer, was soone who could maximize the uniform’s appeal to such an extent.

Lin Xiang and Yun Zhonghai widened their eyes in surprise, not understanding why she would show up here. What was a high school student doing at such an event?

Just as Yun Zhonghai was about to ask her, what followed hit him on the head like a durian, leaving him stunned.

"Sister Zhen, I’ve brought Sister Yue," Wei Xuan said with a pleased smile on his face.

Sister Yue was so beautiful that even with these won in their heavy makeup, none looked as good as she did bare-faced.

He walked over to He Minzhen and introduced her: "Sister Yue, this is my mom. She has wanted to et you for a long ti."

At first, his dad had been secretive about Sister Yue, almost leading him to mistakenly think she was his illegitimate daughter from outside. Later on, he didn’t know what his dad had said to her, but she acted as if nothing had happened and constantly clamored to et Sister Yue.

Seeing her now, what would the result be?

He had never seen his mother so engrossed in looking at soone; her eyes fixed on Sister Yue as if she were recalling sothing, her expressions a mix of excitent and obscurity.

The resemblance! It was simply too strong.

Eyes, eyebrows, nose, all the facial features seed carved from the sa mold.

She was a bit lost in thought, no wonder Wei Xuan had praised her beauty, saying she was as pretty as a fairy in heaven. Now, seeing her, he didn’t think it was an exaggeration at all.

"Sister Zhen, what are you daydreaming about? Are you just going to let Sister Yue stand there?" Wei Xuan nudged her arm.

It was then that He Minzhen snapped out of it, her look at Yun Yue softened, and she stepped forward, taking her hand, "Your na is Yun Yue, right? May I call you Yueyue?"

Yun Yue didn’t like strangers touching her, but looking into He Minzhen’s eyes, she felt her heart soften, "You may."

"Yueyue," Lin Xiang said in surprise, looking at the girl with casual confidence. Seeing Mrs. Wei’s warmth towards her, she sensed that their invitation to the banquet that evening was because of her.

Yun Yue had noticed them a while ago, and now hearing Lin Xiang addressing her, she responded generously: "Aunt Xiang."

"Don’t just stand around, Uncle Wei has asked several tis if you’ve arrived. I’ll take you to et him first," He Minzhen said as she pulled her away, leaving the scene to be managed by her secretary behind her. She asked Wei Xuan to stay to entertain the guests.

Wei Xuan: "..."

He was her real nephew!

He had no clue how to entertain guests! And wasn’t she afraid that he might scare everyone away as soon as he opened his mouth?

Lin Xiang watched her leave, biting her tongue with so many questions still unasked, but for now, she had to keep them to herself, smiling at the people who ca over.
