"If that’s true, there’s no need for Yun Yue to co forward, any random person from Class Seven now could slap her in the face."

Liu Xiaoyan’s face flushed with embarrassnt, these five months she had spent every day drilling First Middle School, reviewing relentlessly to try and surpass Class Seven.

In fact, their class had made progress in the recent diagnostic exams, the average score now at 670 points, which was higher than Class Seven’s average score in the last monthly assessnt.

But compared to Class Seven’s current average of 703 points, it was an insurmountable chasm.

She couldn’t help but rember saying sothing similar to Xiao Ye before, and now she wanted nothing more than to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.

"Lin Xuanze’s score has also improved a lot, now at 740 points, ranking first." Li Hongsheng truly was a crafty one, giving her a way out and easing her embarrassnt a bit.

"Mr. Xiao, do you know what’s going on here? Class Seven’s improvent is too quick!" Deng Yongbing was astounded, never seeing anyone soar like a rocket like this; if scoring seven hundred points was so easy, their so-called genius Class One would have done it a long ti ago.

"I don’t know either, I heard from their parents that Yun Yue was tutoring them." Xiao Ye shook his head, completely in the dark himself.

If you really had to point a finger, it would be at Yun Yue.

They’d seen her capabilities before, in a month she’d managed to improve their scores by over six hundred points; five months on, the idea of her taking them over the seven hundred mark didn’t seem so impossible.

Li Hongsheng’s smile deepened: "Then there’s no problem at all, Lin Xuanze is her brother and now he’s even surpassed Gu Yue."

The mont Lin Xuanze was ntioned, Liu Xiaoyan’s expression soured; she had previously asked him if he could get so review materials from Yun Yue for her, but he flatly denied having any, saying Yun Yue didn’t give him any.

Now, having scored a direct 740, claiming that he didn’t get any review materials from her, no one would believe that.

It was disappointing that he, as the class leader of First Middle School, couldn’t even contribute this much; she truly regretted having thought so highly of him!

"If there are no other questions, then we can all leave. I won’t be posting the results on the school’s website this ti. I’ll send the report cards to the senior year group chat," Li Hongsheng gestured for everyone to leave so he could properly process this information.

To facilitate communication during the pandemic, a QQ group chat had been established for the senior year students and teachers.

Principal He didn’t know about this yet; Li Hongsheng needed to break this news to him first.

"Hello, Principal He, I have so good news for you..." Li Hongsheng started with a flattering smile.

...

During the break.

"Shen Xuan, it’s been so long since I’ve seen you— you’ve beco more and more beautiful, to the point of being unrecognizable."

A few girls from First Middle School gathered around Shen Xuan; they truly felt she had changed a lot.

Her face had beco more delicate, and she emitted the noble elegance of a lady from a distinguished family, dignified and graceful.

"My aunt hired a manners teacher from Beijing for , who taught manners for a month, of course I’ve changed a lot," Shen Xuan replied, her chin tilting slightly to reveal her beautiful swan neck, wearing a subtle smile on her face, her pride concealed yet more intimidating, representing an unapproachable beauty.

Liang Qian’s face showed envy, "Teachers from Beijing must be very expensive! And even with the money, you can’t necessarily hire one. Your aunt really cares for you."

Her family was a nouveau riche from Lan City, normally given twenty thousand yuan a month for allowance, but it was hardly enough for luxurious purchases; sothing casual on Shen Xuan’s person could easily cost tens of thousands. For instance, the hair clip she gifted her last ti cost over three thousand. Why else would they say there were endless benefits of being around her?

She had heard about Shen Xuan’s aunt, married into Beijing aristocracy, living the high life in the capital.

With a slight curl to her lip and sparkling eyes, she continued, "Yeah, my aunt dotes on the most. At the end of this month, I’m going to Beijing to participate in Master Yao Nan’s disciple selection competition."

"Really?! Then congratulations in advance." Zhao Min linked her arm with Shen Xuan’s, one step ahead of Liang Qian. "You’d better gratefully rember when you’re back; the inspiration for your score partly ca from my efforts."

Liang Qian’s gesture was left hanging, and she glared back at Zhao Min’s provocative and smug look with gritted teeth.

That Zhao Min only knew how to trip her up; she hadn’t seen her in a few months and didn’t expect her to have beco so close to Shen Xuan.

Even, she could feel that Shen Xuan was not as enthusiastic towards her as before.

Shen Xuan’s face showed a smile, her eyes twinkling slightly, "Of course, if I beco Master Yao Nan’s disciple, I’ll definitely not forget your share of the benefits."

The smile on Zhao Min’s face deepened; she had been waiting for these words from Shen Xuan. Catching Liang Qian’s sour expression out of the corner of her eye, she smiled triumphantly.

What did it matter if she had followed Shen Xuan for over two years, trying hard to please her? She still managed to push her aside.

Did she really think that by saying a few flattering words, Shen Xuan would treat her differently?

Naive.

Aside from being a little more eloquent, she had no other use, and couldn’t provide any assistance to Shen Xuan. She, on the other hand, was more clever, using a piece of piano music to tighten the relationship between herself and Shen Xuan.

She had found the piece of music online and, having a bit of piano knowledge, forwarded it to Shen Xuan on a whim. She never expected that Shen Xuan would find inspiration from this incomplete piece and compose her signature piece, which had earned her four million followers on Weibo.

Lin Xuanze was doing problems nearby, annoyed by the chatter of the group of girls, not expecting Shen Xuan to be leaving for Beijing so soon. He relaxed his expression and said to her, "Congratulations!"

He was aware of Shen Xuan’s piano skills; she had been called a piano prodigy since she was young, winning piano awards left and right. Even if she didn’t catch Master Yao Nan’s eye when going to Beijing for the assessnt, she would certainly be noticed by other masters at the Piano Association.

Once she entered that circle, she would have power, status, and everything else, no wonder these people kept offering her endless complints.

"Thank you, how’s your studying going recently?" Shen Xuan smiled slightly.

"Not bad, I should have improved on this exam."

As for how much, he didn’t know.

"The results are out, they’re in the high school senior QQ group, everybody can go have a look."

A male student from Class 1 shouted, and they imdiately opened their phones to check the QQ group chat.

They clicked on the Class 1’s score list, and Lin Xuanze’s 740 points as the first overall was strikingly visible.

"Holy moly! Lin Xuanze, did you take a rocket these last few months? How did you make such huge progress?! 740 points, how do you even score that?!"

"That’s aweso!"

Lin Xuanze had just ntally calculated an arithtic problem of eight digits, which was a strengthening exercise given by Yun Yue.

At first, it took him over a minute to calculate five-digit addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and he needed to draft it out. Now, calculating eight digits took only half a minute, and he didn’t even need to draft; he could work it out in his head.

He calmly put down the pen, took out a bottle of water, pulled down his mask to drink half the bottle, then pulled the mask back up, his gaze as composed as ever, "Just so-so, I just played it normal."

"..."

He seed particularly punchable.

And now he’s started to act all Versailles as well!

Shen Xuan looked at him and laughed, "Congratulations, with your current scores, getting into Jing University is no problem at all."

Her brother was admitted to Jing University with the highest score of 738 from First Middle School; he was doing well in Beijing now, and Lin Xuanze’s future path would not be worse than her brother’s.
