rcenaries

rcenaries or what is usually referred to as Sellswords or rcs, are capable n with fighting abilities that take part in military conflicts for profits. They usually roam around countries in conflict, but the greatest number of them could be found in the city of rcenaries, Arkansas.

Unlike adventurers, registering as rcenaries in the rcenary guild doesn't need any background check. They accept anyone and everyone to join the guild, and accept all kinds of quests as well.

rcenaries mostly take requests on escorting people, joining an army searching for more swords for war, and other human-related business, rather than exterminating monsters. Only when the number of certain threatening monsters got too many that cities usually issued a request towards the rcenary guild to help them exterminate the monsters' threat.

(The situation is getting out of hand...) (Lyan)

"Hey, hey. Why are Rea-chan and Lichia-chan serving a person together?"

"Is he their acquaintance?"

"Rea-chan is as cute as always!"

(Master. Looks like you imdiately hits the jackpot right at the first ti you enter the rcenary guild~) (Lilith)

(Heh! Those kinds of girls are famous and kind at the sa ti, don't get the wrong idea just because they're acting a little bit kind to you, dumbass) (Griselda)

(Indeed. She's right, it's not wise to get into a misunderstanding, master) (Cynthia)

(This priestess girl always joins the conversation in strange situations, aren't you? Did she finish her prayers already? Wait, I've cut off the thought connection with them, right?) (Lyan)

Lyan mumbled inside his thoughts.

(Master, famous!?) (Azelia)

(....) (Eira)

(Fufufu~ Hot romance is one of adventuring greatest motivations, boy~) (Hestia)

(Fueheheheh, they are so beautiful! How delicious!) (Sylphia)

(S-Sylphia!? Is that her voice? Isn't she supposed to be the timid girl character? Why did she sound like Griselda for a second there!?) (Lyan)

(What are all of you talking about?) (Arturia)

(You don't understand? Isn't it obvious? He's planning on laying the two of them) (Griselda)

(L-Laying... D-Do you an having intercourse with them!? Even though you just t them!? Y-You're that kind of person, master...?) (Arturia)

(What are you talking about, Miss knight? All n's lines of thought are the sa whenever they saw pretty girls. There is no way that their lust didn't appear even if it's just a second) (Hestia)

(Ugh... The fact that her words are true for makes it difficult to deny it...) (Lyan)

(H-How indecent... How indecent!) (Arturia)

"Shut up already... Your voices are giving a headache..." Lyan muttered with a small voice that only he could hear as a wry smile appeared on his face.

"This rcenary tag will be your identification device. The rcenary tag is embedded with a magic seal that identical to the magic seal on the rcenary book where your na is registered. All of your quests and history as a rcenary will be recorded there, and the rcenary guild will evaluate your worth as a rcenary based on your progress," (Lichia)

"Don't worry, Mr. Evocatore! Your information won't be able to be leaked since we highly respect every rcenary's privacy!" (Rea)

"I see... Then is my registration completed?" (Lyan)

"Yup. It's done. But Mr. Evocatore, even though you're strong, we highly recomnd you to find a party since there are lots of unexpected situations that may happen in a quest. Please consider this recomndation of us," (Lichia)

"....thanks for your advice, I'll think about it. Thanks for lending your ti," Lyan gave the two receptionists a slight bow.

"It's fine. It's rare for Rea to get too curious about soone so I couldn't help but get curious as well. Whenever you ca to the guild, don't hesitate to search for Rea and , Mr. Evocatore," Lichia answers with full a polite bow.

"Yes! You can rely on anyti!" (Rea)

"That's reassuring to know. Ah! Since I'm new here, can you recomnd a decent inn for with my budget right now?" (Lyan)

"Then you can go to the inn near the east gate, it's called [The Scholar Inn]. It's very near to the east gate, and it's the only inn on that periter. You might like it," (Lichia)

"I see. Thanks for the recomndation, good afternoon," Lyan left the receptionist's desk.

Since the gaze of the surroundings is getting more intense with each second passed, Lyan didn't have any other option but to quickly leave the place after getting the recomndation.

Truth be told, as a forr incubus, Lyan has an abnormal libido. Since he ca from the demon world, he's greatly interested in human won, but even so, he knows tact. With the powerful mind-discipline and self-control that he got from being an incubus, he could cancel out his powerful lust, and control himself.

Lichia and Rea are beauties, but since he knows that he stayed too long in the demon world, his common sense might be not the sa as the common sense of this realm. So to avoid being careless, Lyan thinks of gathering information and getting used to the common sense of this world first.

(Carelessness and ignorance are the greatest enemies, I first need to gather information before starting to make really deep connections. And I still want to try out lots of things first anyway. But first, let's go to the place where I could easily gather information and let out this strong libido! Yes, the brothel! I spotted the big place that clearly states that it's a brothel on my way to the rcenary guild! Now let's go!) (Lyan)

But when Lyan takes a several steps, a growl appeared from below his chest.

*Growl~*

"Ah. I forgot I'm in a human body now," (Lyan)

When he was in his previous life as an incubus, all he need to live as an incubus was only to consu people's lust and pleasure. There is no need to eat, but since he's originally a human, he used to eat so foods and hunt for foods out of habit.

(But sadly, the quality of food in the demon world is so bad that makes sense since lots of tribes don't really need to eat as long as they have mana...) (Lyan)

(Looks like you're hungry, master) (Arturia)

(But we just got lots of money just now, didn't we? Let's go buy so delicious food! I'm dying for so good foods!!) (Lilith)

(You're right. I kind of miss eating as well. I want lots of at and lots of booze!) (Griselda)

"Eh? Aren't you spirits don't need to eat? I believe I read it in the grimoire," (Lyan)

(It doesn't an we can't or may not eat because we don't need it, master. If we want to eat, we could still eat! I request that all of us get our share of food whenever we eat! It ans we must get a breakfast, a lunch, evening snacks, and dinner!) (Lilith)

(She's damn right!) (Griselda)

"What are we? A big family in a damn family house!?" (Lyan)

(Y-You didn't want to give us food, master...?) (Arturia)

Arturia's timidly polite question makes it hard for Lyan's conscience to ignore it.

"Guh... Fine... I'll concede..." (Lyan)

(Yes! We win! Nice conscience attack, Arturia!) (Lilith)

(I-I'm not attacking him with anything) (Arturia)

(Ah... To think that I could still drink booze after dying... What are you waiting for!? Quickly go to the inn and order the booze!) (Griselda)

"What an unreasonable spirits... Aren't the spirits supposed to be the one getting ordered by the summoner? Aren't I supposed to be your master?" (Lyan)

Griselda snorts.

(Since when did I, or Hestia, or Eira ever call you master, huh!? Don't get ahead of yourself!) (Griselda)

(H-How annoying... But well, I guess it won't be good to make enemies of them, they're too strong and too troubleso to beco an enemy, after all... That damned god, why did she give these troubleso lots...) (Lyan)

"Miss Kukumila said that the inn is near the east gate, didn't she? I guess we need to go there first, huh..." (Lyan)

*****************************

"Hm... Is this the inn? But this looks more like a library rather than an inn, though..." Lyan ponders as he read the sign on top of the building before him.

Lyan could see the lots of books inside the building from the window outside, which made him doubt whether this is a library or not.

"But the sign surely states [The Scholar's Inn] though... So it's called the scholar's inn because there are lots of books inside it, huh..." (Lyan)

(Wait, master. You can read the language here?) (Lilith)

"I could. Back in the demon world, there are lots of foreign books that are written in the human language. The language all of you used and the language written on that sign is called the common language, right?" (Lyan)

(Yes, that's right, master) (Arturia)

"I'm always curious about the human world since the ti I'm inside the demon world, so to satisfy my curiosity, I learn the human language and read lots of books written in human language," (Lyan)

(I see... So that's why you could talk fluently in the common language. I thought it was an ability given by the summoning grimoire as well) (Arturia)

(You took quite a great effort for your curiosity) (Hestia)

"Hm... Not really. I used to have a bookstore and sell books in my previous life before I entered the demon world and transform into an incubus. I open the bookstore because I want to work and enjoy my hobby at the sa ti without having to work for other people. Well, it made quite hard to make both ends et, though..." Lyan muttered with a wry smile as the old mory entered his head.

"Anyway, let's buy a room and order for food. I'm starving..." (Lyan)
