Black Drifter saw the look on Rowan's face and could tell imdiately that sothing was happening, it asked Rowan telepathically what was happening and Rowan hurriedly told him the details.

Black Drifter pointed in the direction of the soldiers and asked.
Rowan nodded imdiately and even told Black Drifter that Blaze, his new colleague and rival, was in trouble as well and needed to be saved.
Black Drifter offered to take Rowan there and rescue Blaze since it wanted nothing to happen to its kind; it even told Rowan that only it had the right to beat Blaze.
Rowan climbed on Black Drifter.
While his overall agility had improved thanks to his new power, he wanted to test the flight speed of Black Drifter.
Black Drifter wasted no ti; once Rowan was seated comfortably, it flapped its wings and blasted into the sky at an incredible speed, causing Rowan to quickly tug on its feathers for safety and balance.
The journey that could've taken Rowan at least one minute at his peak speed only took about twenty seconds for Black Drifter. Also, aerial travel was way more preferable as there was no obstruction in the air and, from up here, Rowan was able to witness the chaotic scene brewing below.
The soldiers were quickly alerted on his arrival; it was natural for the presence of a flying beast as large as Black Drifter to be noticed imdiately.
Nevertheless, the soldiers had no idea what Black Drifter was, and they began to panic, thinking it was one of the monsters charging towards them.
Rowan had to notify them not to worry before they relaxed, but their minds were still in tremor — The hordes are approaching!
A few minutes before now, the soldiers were relaxing when suddenly the heavy, thumping footsteps of nurous monsters woke them from their slumber.
The sound was incredibly familiar to them as they had grown accustod to similar sounds in the past seven days — But this one was worse: firstly, it wasn't the call of Rowan dragging the monster out and secondly, it was the middle of the night; aside from the disadvantage of the dark, none of the soldiers were in the right state to fight.

But he was not around
They only found Blaze, but Rowan was nowhere to be seen, making them even more worried.
Their hopes were lost! Without Rowan, they believed surviving was at the bare minimum.
Fortunately, the captains were present and managed to calm the youths and give them a stronger will to fight, though it was still hopeless without Rowan's presence.
At the mont, they could be seen scattering across the field, grabbing their weapons, waking their colleagues, and getting prepared for battle.
Their readiness made Rowan proud, but he couldn't enjoy that subtle feeling for a long ti as his eyes fell upon the chaotic scenes of the hordes approaching his n at an incredible pace.
They were of different races, ranging from the smaller and weaker monsters like the Ratax and goblins to large flying monsters like the inferno eagles flying in front of the hordes. Their combined sound creating a scary noise.
This horde was far stronger than the combined powers of the ones they had been facing in the past few days. Not only that, they were so much in number, at least twenty tis larger than the usual horde population in the last few days.
"So many!" Rowan exclaid.
"But where are they coming from?" he wondered.
"There shouldn't be any sort of monsters around here after I activated hunter call," he said, confused.
The more he tried to understand the situation, the more confusing it beca, and his mind ca up with many theories — one of which seed to be the only right one at this mont — Vishirk!
"It is definitely the handiwork of that bastard; if he could ta and control a monster as strong as the Forest Eater, he would definitely be able to control this many weaker monsters to do his bidding!" Rowan thought out loud.
He tapped gently on his pet's back; Black Drifter found a free spot and landed Rowan.
Rowan climbed down and rushed toward his n.
The captains also rushed to et him, relaying their worries about the current situation.
"This doesn't seem ordinary to at all; we've cleared the monsters in this territory, we should be safe as long as we remain here but why are there monsters approaching? Did we do anything wrong?" Bruce was the first to ask.
"I agree, what is really happening, Lord Rowan?" the other captains comnted.
"You're all correct, everything happening now is the plan of soone," Rowan responded.
He did not halt to chat with his captains; he kept strolling forward to et the other worried soldiers.
The captains found his answer confusing; they pestered him for more answers.
"We shall discuss this seriously later. For now, grab your weapons and prepare to fight like never before; the safety of these n lies in our hands, we can't lose any one of them," Rowan responded.
He had already closed the distance with the others — their worried discussions, their nervous faces, their shivering bodies, and other signs of fear and anxiety, he could see all these.
"Ah, it's Lord Rowan, he is back!"
Seeing him, their lost hopes were revived — he was like the moon in a dark, lonely night.
They made way for Rowan.
He arrived at the forefront and turned his back fearlessly toward the arriving hordes to speak with his n. He shared his usual motivational speech, but with a lot more seriousness as though they were in a near-death situation — he shared what he saw, the type of monsters and their scary population.
While he administered them, the hordes drew even closer.
"Try to fight and save up as much stamina as you can! Survive for your loved ones!" He roared.
"We will survive!!" They roared back.
Almost at the sa ti, a large inferno ball ca crashing down from the sky in the midst of Winterseed soldiers.
