I didn't know what happened, but sohow we were following one of the people working at the organization to the organization. We walked past the austere man who previously refused to let us in. I flashed a middle finger at him as we made our way to the entrance door.

The man sneered at . Much expected from him, so I simply smirked.

The other man who ushered us in just simply looked over his shoulder and introduced himself. "I'm Christopher, and I'm the only male researcher in this building." He opened the door and walked inside, brisk on his feet.

I followed. "Research, huh? What kind of research is done here?"

Christopher chuckled. "I probably shouldn't disclose anythingit's too secretive, unfortunately. Actually, top secret. All I can tell you is that the scanner didn't just scan you alone and that there are demons being either experinted on or tortured here as well. We do a lot more, but I'm afraid that's all I can say," he stopped.

Grimacing, I halted. "Demons ... in here?"

Christopher looked back at , smiled weirdly and nodded his head. Then, he slowly turned forward, opening his mouth. "Hello! Ladies, I have returned. I summon an abitrary clerk. Can I please have a clerk here in front of this instant!" His words echoed throughout the empty room.

Christopher looked back at us. "Clerks, am I right?"

To command and whatnot, he seed to be soone of high caliber in this building. But I didn't get why he was outside the building, roaming an area littered with ability users. What was he doing outside there without an entourage or even bodyguards?

I had no idea what he was to the building, but he seed to be the perfect hostage to use should things go adverse.

A woman in black ca hurrying toward us. "Mr. Christopher, pardon my tardiness ..." She stopped in front of us, nervous. Her hair was in a bun, and roundish glasses rested on her nose bridge, much like Jin's old one.

She looked at Xavier, and then at . "I see you have guests, Mr. Christopher," she grimaced, "rather slly guests."

Christopher started walking around her. "I didn't permit you to speak again. You've already done enough for the evening. I want to fix one of the mistakes you've made, and I might have you fired should these mistakes refuse to let up, mind you."

"Fix one of the mistakes I've made?" She asked. "What do you an, sir?"

"These two young n," Christopher said, "you have done them bad. They say their belongings are in this building. And we both know you're the Clerk. And as such, you're supposed to take record operations, and regulate the storehouses."

"Yes," she said, "I do. I do my job."

I looked at her. "I've lost my tal bat here, and it ans a lot to . And my new friend, Xavier, has lost soone."

She scoffed. "Is that what this is? You're the two n who's been disturbing us here at the building for the past hour, aren't you?" She looked at Christopher. "You're going to give them back their belongings. Isn't that against the"

Christopher interrupted. "Yes. They're getting their items back, unless they're tainted items."

The Clerk shook her head. "I don't know what's going on here, and I all but understand what you're doing, sir. But I'm sure you have reasons."

Christopher glared at her. "Yes," he barked, "and I won't put up with you questioning for even a second longer"

The clerk bowed. "I'm sorry, sir. It's just that this is all too confusing. It's against the rules here."

Christopher. "Hold on," he pulled out his phone, "let just quickly ask google if I give a fuck. Oh," he looked at her, "Apparently, I don't. I thought it was obvious too."

The clerk peered at , but it was more so a glare as if I had done sothing wrong. "You said you lost a tal bat here?"

"Y-yeah, I did."

She raised the tablet that was pressing against her breasts the entire ti. She turned it on, and started swiping the screen. She turned the tablet to show the display. "Is this the item?"

I bent my head and looked down at the screen. "Yeah!" I perked up, "That's it!"

"The status is ordinary but it says here that it's a potentially cursed object," she said, "in fact, all items from outside the dos are considered potentially cursed objects. We here at this facility aren't audacious at all, and usually prefer not to let people enter the new world with items from the old one.

"But," she looked at Christopher, "apparently, today's an exception. You'll be getting your weapon back as per the unorthodox orders of sir Christopher. I'll return soon." She walked away.

I was excited. I was finally getting back what was mine. The object I valued most. I glimpsed at Xavier who stood silently and apparently thoughtful. I started looking around the organization. It was a strange organization. Cold and quiet ... too quiet. The infrastructure was different compared to anything I've ever seen before. It was a building reminiscent of those futuristic depictions shown in the movies.

Christopher slowly approached . I had no idea why he was approaching with such an undecipherable deanor, so I retreated a bit. He stopped in front of . I halted, looking up at him, grimacing. He slowly inched his head closer to mine. He placed his chin on my shoulder.

"I have sothing I want to show you in here," he whispered, "I'm planning to bring down this entire place. When you leave the building, I'll find you again. I need your help to suppress the evil in this place. Your friend won't be able to get his sister back. I want you to not say a word. You take your bat, and you leave. Again, I'll find you when I need your help."

Sobody cleared their throat. I quickly broke away from Christopher. I slowly turned around only to the clerk with her hand clutched to a tal bat.
