"Madam... Madam?"

Hmm?

Amina withdrew her gaze from the calendar clock on the wall and looked toward the conference table ahead.

She could no longer rember how many tis she had been here.

This eting room had transford from its previous cramped, rudintary, tal wasteland style into its current state, a style Amina couldn’t quite describe.

The overall color had turned silvery-gray. Two large floor-to-ceiling windows displayed the rapidly advancing materials technology of Earth’s humanity, and the corners and edges had beco very smooth, with ’weightlessness ergency handrails’ decorated like works of art.

Outside the window, two battleships quietly departed, spewing tail flas.

Amina gathered her thoughts and looked at the few unfamiliar faces that had newly appeared at the conference table.

These were several middle-aged n and won dressed in Expeditionary Army uniforms.

Amina did not understand what their epaulettes and badges represented in terms of rank, and she didn’t care about that.

She didn’t belong to the human system; the relationship between them was more like... employnt?

"Ah, I really envy you, madam."

The old man sitting at the head of the long table, with a tag reading ’Council Chairman’ in front of him, spoke to Amina elegantly:

"Whenever I see you, you always have such perfect deanor and appearance."

"Hmm," Amina replied simply, "I still have thousands of years of life left, of course, there won’t be any changes."

The old man asked, "Is there any news of that old acquaintance at the Earth Core?"

"I haven’t been there recently," Amina shook her head, "The Guardian there has beco very weak, his consciousness is dissipating. Sigh, despite having so much power, he ultimately cannot withstand the erosion of ti."

"Yes," the old man sighed, "ti is like a... butcher’s knife."

Amina was speechless for a mont.

What kind of taphor is that!

"Let’s talk business," Amina said, "I must preemptively state that I am taking a stance from the perspective of a friend of the Black Storm, to guard this planet and incidentally protect his ditative retreat, not your vassal or protector. The affairs of the expedition do not concern ."

The old man hurriedly replied, "You misunderstand, we aren’t asking you to go to the front line. Besides what you’ve ntioned, you are still a respected elder and sage of Earth’s humanity."

"I’m still very young, not an elder."

"Let’s not talk about butcher’s knives anymore."

The old man got to the point:

"Well, about half a month ago, there was a large-scale battle where our joint Expeditionary Army encountered an unprecedented enemy offensive.

"These enemies coordinated with the Blade Beast Group to attack from both sides, and our Expeditionary Fleet suffered significant damage.

"Based on the captured enemy biological samples, we cultured... see for yourself."

The old man swiped his finger, projecting an image of a Nutrition Storage on the table, inside of which was a creature resembling a spider spirit, with a human upper body, a rounded lower abdon, and eight sharp blade limbs.

Amina tilted her head and glanced a few tis.

She mumbled, "Did it mutate during cultivation?"

"No mutation, these are the organisms that engaged with Fleet 07."

A marshal quickly explained:

"They possess Spiritual Energy from a minimum B-level to a maximum S-level, and can maneuver freely in space. Their main mode of combat is boarding action.

"They ride spire-shaped battleships, and as long as they can get close to our battleships, they spread like dandelions blown by the wind, infiltrating the interior of our ships.

"This caused us heavy losses."

Amina asked, "I recall that over twenty years ago, I brought Spiritual Shield technology for warships from Cloud City."

"The cost is too high," the leading old man sighed, "Fleet 07 mainly consists of second-phase ships from earlier, with self-maintaining systems that constantly report errors, and their chanical Body Army is also of the old model."

Amina didn’t dwell on the issue.

The leading old man asked, "What do you think of these organisms?"

"They should be variants of Fake Spiritual Slaves," Amina said, "but specifically, I’m not too sure, you could ask Professor Shen Qionglin, she is an expert in this area."

"Professor Shen is in ditation."

The old man said helplessly:

"Finding her is even harder than finding you, she has the highest clearance authority, often traveling with the fleet on long journeys, I’m always worried sothing might happen to her."

Amina looked sowhat displeased at the man.

If it weren’t for the fact that her Spirit Slave was this old man’s partner, she wouldn’t bother dealing with this guy!

As if her status was inferior to that of Shen Qionglin.

"However," Amina thought of the various anomalies surrounding Shen Qionglin, and said quietly, "the Divine Domain project indeed has so surprising elents, Shen Qionglin has now already shown so divinity."

"So," the old man cautiously asked, "can you develop so Spiritual Energy Circuits to counter this newly erged species?"

Amina said helplessly, "I’ve ntioned many tis, that special ray that disrupts Spiritual Energy Circuits is Yina Civilization’s technology, not mine, and I don’t have the ability to develop it."

"Alright."

The old man smiled apologetically and then steered the conversation toward topics that Amina found more interesting.

As long as the discussion involved the Great Pioneer of Yina Civilization, or the powerful guardian of Earth Civilization, the Black Storm, Amina wouldn’t be bored.

The generals around exchanged glances, with a few smiles in their eyes.

The chairman was once again praising the Black Storm.

Most of them were born in the post-Black Storm era, or in the Expeditionary Era after Mars’ Great Victory, and they could only learn about the previous era when humanity was on the brink of extinction through video materials and accounts from predecessors.

They all respected the Black Storm.
