Wang Jixuan was still charging toward the Sky Do;
The ninth Heavenly Tribulation had already poked its head out, a Thunder Dragon woven from forty-nine gigantic thunder spots blooming simultaneously under the impending tribulation.
Yet, in Mu Dan’s perception, all of this had already fallen into an almost entirely static, super slow motion.
Is the flow of ti being altered?
Has Senior Bai Gu made a move?
Mu Dan was a bit bewildered. She instinctively turned her head, only to discover that her Spiritual Body had detached from the ticulously designed Puppet body.
And when she turned to look at the corner, sure enough, there was a crystal-clear, jade-like skeleton, gently sipping a cup of tea.
Mu Dan: ...
"Co and sit," Senior Bai Gu said slowly.
Although the skeletal face showed no expression, Mu Dan could sense a gentle smile.
"Is there sothing you need to instruct on?" Mu Dan asked.
"Hmm," said Senior Bai Gu, the titular Moon God Palace Master who once caused a great commotion in the Immortal Realm, seemingly troubled at this mont, sighed softly.
He said, "I think you’ve already noticed the abnormality in the Heavenly Dao."
Mu Dan nodded gently, "Yes."
"The Heavenly Dao doesn’t exert considerable influence in the Immortal Realm, which is why I decided to take you all there to evade the Dark Sect and Tianluo’s pursuit. Though I have enemies there, I also have so friends."
A pale blue fla appeared in Bai Gu’s palm.
"And a strong figure who achieves Da Luo through Ti is bound to be sought after by them.
"Look at your master."
Mu Dan obediently turned to look at the projection screen.
The firm gaze Wang Jixuan cast upon the Sky Do was so resolute, and the smile at the corner of his mouth was so relaxed and free.
Senior Bai Gu chuckled, "High-spirited, vibrant, and full of infinite possibilities. How enviable."
Mu Dan asked, "Senior, you sought out at this mont not just to lant about my boss’s youthfulness, right?"
"He’s not just brash; he’s also a bit short of breath."
Senior Bai Gu shook his head:
"The personality I admire is the kind that should look down on everything when undefeated among peers.
"However, can’t bla him—the first two tis in his three lifetis of Cultivation, he either got crushed by Heavenly Tribulation or was killed by an Expert. To rise again now, his mindset is already stronger than most.
"But, how far do you think he can go?"
"Immortality will only be his starting point."
"If there are no external obstacles, his current accumulations truly give him a ten percent chance of stepping into the Golden Immortal threshold... a ten percent chance is already quite high, not to undermine him."
Mu Dan blinked, "Senior, why do you seem a bit odd today?"
"It’s not who’s odd."
Bai Gu took a sip of tea.
The tea flowed through his bones as if there were transparent esophagus and stomach.
He said softly, "While you’re fighting here, I’m also fighting—fighting against the Great Path, and I must tell you now, a series of changes are about to occur."
"Changes?"
"Yes," Senior Bai Gu mused for a mont, "I’ve sensed three strands of the Heavenly Dao Will; how to say it, it’s like this."
Bai Gu quickly sketched a simple drawing.
A mass of gray mist shrouded over the Star Sea, with a serene face appearing on the gray cloud.
And below this mist, two antennae stretched out, with a smiling face at the end of the left antenna, and an angry face at the end of the right antenna.
Also, in Senior Bai Gu’s drawing, all the faces are emoticons.
Bai Gu said, "According to my investigation and perception, the Heavenly Dao probably looks like this; the Heavenly Dao which you had direct contact with is the two antennae on the sides—they are one but also separate."
Mu Dan looked suddenly enlightened, simply explained the model of the Heavenly Dao she created.
Bai Gu laughed, "Just like that, my perception is the sa."
"Is there a problem with this?"
"There is a problem, and it’s a big problem," Bai Gu sighed, "Wang Zheng was right, Tianluo and the Dark Sect are indeed the left and right hands of the Heavenly Dao; the Heavenly Dao is certainly brewing so ghostly plan, but for now, we cannot see clearly."
Mu Dan asked, "Is the Heavenly Dao trying to find a way to deal with the Infinite Tribulation?"
Bai Gu smiled wryly, "Perhaps it is the Infinite Tribulation itself—who could say for sure... When I rose with the Moon God Palace millions of years ago, I also perceived the Heavenly Dao, but back then its presence was indeed not high. Never thought, now relying on the Dark Sect and Tianluo, the Heavenly Dao can also have a seat at the table in the Immortal Realm."
Mu Dan touched her chin and muttered softly, "Is there any possibility that the Will of Heaven and Earth intends to annihilate living beings? I’ve seen many absurd films during Earth’s Golden Age set it up like that, where humans destroy nature, and nature retaliates against humanity."
"That’s all nonsense."
Bai Gu said indifferently:
"What good does it do the Heavenly Dao to annihilate living beings? It depends on the resonance of living beings and rules to exist—without living beings, the Heavenly Dao itself has no aning.
"Accompanying the natural rules is the Great Path. Whether protecting Heaven and Earth or restraining living beings, it’s because living beings have impacted Heaven and Earth that the Heavenly Dao exists.
"Therefore, unless Heavenly Dao desires suicide, it will not annihilate living beings.
"I even took the ti to look around; it’s just different Ti nodes and various Universe positions, discovering that Dark Sect’s massacre indeed only targets the Cultivation World—they’re careful not to harm mortals unless it’s accidental."
Bai Gu sighed:
"Moreover, I’ve also discovered so rather startling things—using your activities in this Xu Realm, the entire Ti and Karma Dao have been activated..."
