Held in Su Zhinian’s arms, Song Qingchun kept trying to escape while her mouth continued to berate him. Other than anger, the only thing Su Zhinian could read from her mind was the accusation that he was a big liar.
Even though he was greatly confused by all this, when she struggled to escape his embrace, he pulled her closer in case she accidentally slipped from his arms.
How deep it hurt was how angry she was. However, even though the anger was caused by him, as they tussled back and forth, the fury in her chest gradually dissipated. When Su Zhinian placed her in his car’s passenger seat and squatted down to inspect her feet, her anger had pretty much disappeared.
Su Zhinian got into the car and said that he would send her ho, but Song Qingchun said that she wanted to go to his bungalow. He paused, but before he could say anything, her tears started to fall again. There was no choice but for him to compromise. He started the engine and drove back to his house.
When they passed a 24-hour pharmacy, Su Zhinian stopped the car. He soon returned with an ointnt in hand. When he got back into the car, Song Qingchun saw it was an ointnt for bruises. Did he buy that for ?
Song Qingchun lowered her head. In the past, when he did sothing like this, her heart would be hard, but this ti, her heart dulled with pain. Just as Su Zhinian turned the steering wheel to head back into the traffic, Song Qingchun, with her head still lowered, suddenly whispered under her breath, "Su Zhinian, you idiot!"
Su Zhinian’s fingers that gripped the steering wheel trembled. He kept his eyes on the road and his mouth shut, but there was a trace of innocence that crossed his eyes. Why am I an idiot?
As if she could tell what he was thinking, she continued to mumble, "Su Zhinian, I’ve not t a bigger idiot than you in my life! You’re so dumb! So stupid! So..."
Song Qingchun had difficulty coming up with another adjective. She halted for a mont before saying angrily, "...You giant idiot!"
Really a giant idiot... How can he be this nice to a woman?
Even if that woman was herself, when she saw how well he treated her, she could not help but feel guilty. Su Zhinian’s lips opened as if he was trying to defend himself, but when he saw her red eyes that looked at him like a little bunny, he stopped talking. So be it. I’ll just be an idiot. I’ll let her vent.
Su Zhinian’s silent submission completely lted Song Qingchun’s heart. It caused her emotions to stabilize. He focused on the road ahead while she huddled in the passenger seat, staring out the window, arranging her thoughts.
When the car almost reached Su Zhinian’s bungalow, Song Qingchun’s phone suddenly sounded with an alert.
After two seconds of hesitation, Song Qingchun pulled her gaze back from the window. She pulled out her phone from her pocket. She looked at the new ssage, unlocked the screen, and replied, "Okay, I’ll be there in a bit."
After sending the ssage, Song Qingchun turned around to tell Su Zhinian, "Stop the car."
