"Ugh... my head."

Zed slowly got up from his bed, holding on to his aching head.

Opening his eyes, Zed paused and fell into a daze.

"This... am I dreaming?"

With a frown, Zed looked around him and saw that he’s in a familiar but unfamiliar room.

White walls and ceiling, a study table on the side with study books neatly arranged.

The room looks neat and tidy, sothing you won’t expect from a boy’s room.

After looking around, Zed confird one thing.

"Isn’t this my room back then?"

Zed rembers clearly that this room is where he spent most of his ti until 10 years ago.

For a mont, Zed’s eyes widened and he thought of sothing.

Hurriedly, Zed turned his attention to the digital clock on the side of the bed and looked at the date displayed.

"June 19, 2024... that was 10 years ago..."

Zed can’t believe the situation he is in right now and he paused for a long ti.

After a while, Zed raised his head and there’s a look of joy and determination in them

A man who seems to be in his thirties raised his head and looked at Zed.

It was his dad, Robert.

"Ah, she’s done already? Wait, you go back first, I’ll just wash my hands first."

"Okay, Dad."

Going back inside, Zed sat back down in front of the table.

His sister was also already there, still looking sleepy.

Seeing him coming back alone, his mother asked, "Where’s your father?"

"He just washed his hands. He’ll be here soon."

Just as he finished speaking, his father ca back from the outside.

"Co and sit down already. We’re about to eat." Zed’s mother, redith, urged.

With the four of them sitting down around the table and the food all served in front, the family started eating.

Besides the sound of spoon and fork, only the sound of Zed’s parents’ chattering could be heard around the table.

The breakfast didn’t last that long and soon, everyone finished eating.

Since his parents still had lots of things to do, Zed volunteered to wash the dishes.

After he’s done, Zed went to the living room and sat on the sofa.

With the sound from the TV echoing in the background, Zed muttered in a low voice,

"Status!"

The next second, a light blue translucent screen appeared in front of Zed.

[Na: Zed

Occupation: Farr

Talent: Nature’s Blessing (B), Plant Growth (D)

Rank: Iron 1

Strength: E | Constitution: E | Agility: E | Spirit: D]

[Nature’s Blessing (B): Increase the effectiveness of your crops by 5 tis.]

[Plant Growth (D): Promotes the growth of plants by 50 percent.]

...

Looking at the status board in front of him, Zed showed a complicated look on his face.

In this world, Cidel, where Zed was reborn, the way of life is not like the mundane one back on the previous Earth.

Here, things that could only be found in stories back in his original world are all present.

Such magic, monsters, and this translucent screen in front of him.

And all of these were brought about by an event that occurred more than a hundred years ago.

Year 1914.

Everyone was living their life the sa way they do everyday.

roaming

Sweat drops down on Zed’s tanned skin as he stands under the blazing sun, in a wide one acre of land.

Holding a hoe in his hand, Zed buried the last seedlings in his hand into the ground before getting up and wiping his sweat.

"Phew~ that was really tiring."

Looking at his own field, a smile can’t help but appear on his face.

"Still, I never imagined that I would actually own land at so point in this life."

Zed is an 18 year old man.

But compared to people around his age, Zed could be said to be a bit more... mature.

And that is because of one thing.

Rebirth.

In his past life, Zed led a normal life and didn’t achieve anything noteworthy.

A normal man who beca a corporate slave, that is who Zed was in the past.

However, at that ti, Zed still had a dream.

And that is to own a house in the province and a plot of land where he could plant so crops as a hobby.

It is a common dream of those who dream of peace and a relaxing, slow life.

People who live in the city are already tired of the hustle and bustle. Wanting to relax and do what they want in a peaceful environnt.

Those are those drears.

Zed was one of those people.

But being a corporate slave and nothing to inherit from his family, it was a dream that could only remain a dream forever.

At the age of 34, Zed died from exhaustion caused by overworking.

Unexpectedly, after an unknown number of tis passed, Zed opened his eyes again and found himself in an unfamiliar place.

It caused him a montary confusion which also didn’t last long.

Because the next mont, mories started rushing through his mind, giving him information about his current situation.

Zed learned that he’s been reborn from the mories that he received.

However, for 18 years, he lived without knowledge about his own past life.

But on his 18th birthday, the mories of his past life were suddenly awakened and his consciousness from the past and the current life imdiately ld together!

From that day on, the 18 years old Zed started living his life as a continuation of his past life.

...

Now, it’s been two months since his birthday and Zed is busy taking care of his own land.

That’s right.

The man who could only remain as a corporate slave in the past, dreaming of owning a land one day, has finally achieved it!

Although, it is already in another life that he achieved it.

Anyway, Zed is just thankful at the fact that he now owns his own plot of land.

A smile unconsciously ford in his lips.

"What a nice gift this is..."

This plot of land is actually a gift of Zed’s parents on his 18th birthday.

Since turning 18 ans that a child has finally beco an adult, people put great importance to it.

Zed’s family is not rich.

His family consists of him, his mother, his father, and lastly, his little sister.

Both of his parents are office workers in the city, earning ₱20,000 each monthly.

With this number, the family could barely be called a middle class family.

It is enough for the family of four to live a sufficient life in the city.

Through the past 18 years, despite not awakening his past life’s mory yet, Zed led a very quiet life.

He’s been a sensible kid from the mont he gains consciousness, making his parents feel assured about him.

That is the reason why his parents gifted him with their precious 1 acre of land.

This land was originally an inheritance of Zed’s mother that she got from her mother or Zed’s grandma.

It was farmland that they used to plant crops on in the past in order to sustain themselves.

However, Zed’s mother and also his father are self-aware.

As people from the city, the two of them are certainly not suited for farming.

Instead of doing that, why not just work overti and gain an additional salary?

But this doesn’t an that they are not aware of how precious lands are nowadays.

And that is why, after giving it a lot of thought, the two decided to use it as Zed’s 18th birthday’s gift.

Because in their mind, Zed could probably make use of it to the best of its utility.

Surprised that Zed’s parents trust him that much?

It can’t be helped, parents like that still exist after all.

For example, in novels...

...

After looking at his own land with newly planted seeds, Zed left and headed back ho.

Zed’s ho is located not that far from his land.

To be exact, it’s just right beside the farmland.

When he arrived at his house, Zed found his mother in the kitchen, cooking.

"Oh, Son, where have you been? Anyway, take a seat and we will be having breakfast now."

"Okay, Mom."

Zed took a seat around the table and turned his eyes on the TV in the living room nearby.

It is only 7am right now and the program on the TV is a long ti running talk show called Morning’s First.

At this ti, one of the female hosts is talking to another host.

[Have you heard about the latest news, Bruce?]

[What news are you talking about specifically, Anna?]

[Well, I’m just talking about how one of our proud Filipino awakeners won a Gold dal from the latest 7th Awakener Olympics!]

[Oh, I know that one! You’re talking about the S-rank Awakener, Carlos Pulo!]

[That’s right! Carlos has once again brought pride to our country by showcasing the true Filipino might!]

[Yes, yes, and...]

...

Zed’s attention was suddenly interrupted by his mom at this ti.

"Son, stop watching the TV and call your Dad outside. Tell him we’re going to eat already."

"Alright, Mom."

Obediently, Zed got up and walked outside.

There, he found his father tinkering with so old electronics.

"Dad, Mom’s done cooking. Let’s go and have breakfast."
