Adam Thor frowned, his eyes sweeping across the faces of Harrison and the others.
"You can't seriously think I'm Kaitō Kid, can you?"
By now, Zhang Yang's alias, Kaitō Kid, was known across the world.
Just the theft of the Serpent Head, and last night's Dragon Head, had shocked countless people.
Adam Thor took out his phone and handed it to Harrison.
"Please be quick. I have items I intend to bid on."
He was very cooperative, eager to finish the inspection so he could return to the auction.
Harrison quickly took the phone, skimming through the photo album and social dia posts.
Daniel bowed in apology.
"Mr. Adam Thor, thank you very much for your understanding. Our deepest apologies."
Finding nothing unusual, Harrison handed back the phone.
"Sorry, Mr. Thor. We mistook you for soone else."
Adam Thor pocketed his phone and invitation, standing up to leave.
"Harrison, you've already checked. Can I go now?"
Harrison's sharp gaze stayed fixed on him, trying to spot signs of a disguise.
But Daniel pulled him aside and smiled warmly.
"Of course, Mr. Thor."
"Hope you win your favorite item. Again, thank you for your patience."
Adam Thor smiled slightly and briskly left the office.
[I knew it wouldn't be that simple!]
[Harrison's just too tense, mistakes are bound to happen...]
[Who's that guy next to Kada? A ninja?]
[Damn, I didn't notice at first, but he really does look like one. Did they send actual ninjas from Japan?]
Daniel looked visibly upset.
"Harrison, everyone here is an invited guest. They've co from all over the world, and they're all respected figures."
"Next ti, please confirm your suspicions more thoroughly before involving ."
"Otherwise, offending—"
Before Daniel could finish, his radio crackled to life.
"Code Red! Code Red! Lock down all exits imdiately!"
At the sa ti, Harrison's earpiece buzzed with an urgent ssage from MI5.
"Harrison! Kaitō Kid's made his move!"
"Smoke bombs have gone off at the auction—sa kind used on the cruise ship!"
"What?!"
Harrison burst out of the room and sprinted toward the auction hall.
Kada Motoji and Itō Itsuki got the sa alert from their side and rushed after him.
By now, the auction hall was choked with smoke, shadows moving faintly through the haze, people stumbling out in panic.
"Damn it! How the hell did Kaitō Kid get in?!"
This was Daniel's worst nightmare—pure chaos.
[Whoa, Kaitō Kid's smoke bombs are still as insane as ever!]
[This hall is way bigger than the cruise ship room, yet his smoke still fills it!]
[Oh shit! Harrison's been tricked again by Kaitō Kid!]
[Clever Kaitō Kid—he baited Harrison with that post to make him leave the auction floor!]
"Interesting... finally, he shows himself."
Itō Itsuki sneered coldly and charged straight into the thick smoke.
Inside, it was a total ss. The smoke was so dense you couldn't see your own hands, and people were disoriented, groping around blindly.
The auction security focused on evacuating the VIPs. As for Zhang Yang, no one had the ti to care.
Their top priority was to protect the wealthy guests.
Daniel rushed from his office, and with just one glance, he was filled with despair.
"Oh shit!"
"Everything's ruined!"
The auction's security team acted fast, guiding the guests out of the smoke-filled hall.
Before Harrison and the others arrived, Zhang Yang had already rushed the stage and taken Gu Kaizhi's Admonitions of the Instructress Scroll.
As for the two guards stationed to protect it, they hadn't even touched Zhang Yang's coat before the smoke engulfed them.
"Vrrrr—"
The hum of large fans filled the hall. The ventilation system in the Kappa Tower had kicked into full power.
It constantly monitored air quality, and now with the dense smoke, it automatically triggered its highest setting.
Zhang Yang glanced up, watching the smoke get sucked into the vents at a visible speed.
"These fans are serious. Looks like I'd better move fast."
This was the top floor of Kappa Tower, with only four elevators as exits.
Those were now heavily guarded. There was no way Zhang Yang was heading into that trap.
"Kaitō Kid!"
Zhang Yang paused and slowly turned around.
Standing just three ters behind him was Itō Itsuki.
"A ninja?"
Zhang Yang had already noticed him when he first entered the auction.
"Today, you're not getting away."
Itō sneered, lunging forward with incredible speed, the surrounding smoke swirling violently from his movent.
Zhang Yang's eyes narrowed as he dodged the swift slash of the blade. This guy's speed and strikes were no joke.
The smoke in the hall was thinning fast, thanks to the ventilation. The guests had been fully evacuated, and more security now spotted Zhang Yang.
"Kaitō Kid, freeze!"
Kada Motoji arrived, pulling out his gun and aiming at Zhang Yang.
In just seconds, Zhang Yang was completely surrounded.
Harrison looked at him, a wide grin spreading across his face.
"Kaitō Kid, finally, we et!"
Zhang Yang turned, smiling provocatively at Harrison.
"Director Harrison, I've already t you."
Harrison's face darkened instantly.
He'd never truly seen Zhang Yang, but Zhang Yang had clearly seen him plenty.
[Hahaha, what a line! That's brilliant!]
[Oh man, that's gotta be the most humiliating mont of Harrison's life!]
[Kaitō Kid's got so serious wit, that was savage!]
[Director Harrison looks like he's about to explode!]
[Damn! Even surrounded, Kaitō Kid still acts so cocky!]
Kada kept his gun trained on Zhang Yang, shouting authoritatively, "Kaitō Kid, you're under arrest!"
"Hands on your head, kneel slowly, and don't resist!"
The smoke was nearly gone now, the hall fully visible.
Fifty-six people surrounded Zhang Yang—it was not looking good.
"I'm curious, is this what you call ninja spirit?"
"Still talking nonsense at death's door!"
Itō scoffed coldly.
Zhang Yang shrugged off his black coat, pointing at Itō.
"If he can beat , I'll surrender right here."
"Truth is, I've always wanted to experience the secrets of your so-called ninja arts."
Kada's top priority wasn't just catching Zhang Yang—it was ensuring Itō Itsuki's safety.
He wasn't about to risk it.
"No way!"
"Kaitō Kid, you're not escaping this ti!"
