Zhang Yang actually held Holska in high regard—at least way more than the two A-Class fugitives who got caught outside the Musée Guit.
And it turned out Zhang Yang’s hunch about Holska wasn’t wrong.
He hadn’t shown up at the Dragon Nation Embassy because the competition had started. He was here preparing ahead of ti.
To win the contest, you had to capture Kaitō Kid—and you had to do it before Bruce or Harrison.
But once Kaitō Kid sent out a notice and showed up at the cri scene, other participants basically had no shot.
That’s why Holska was now trying to figure out Zhang Yang’s habits or track down his movents.
What he didn’t expect was that Zhang Yang was far more cautious than he’d imagined.
Zhang Yang had already spotted him the second he turned the corner.
anwhile, Holska sat in his car, checking the ti every now and then, waiting for Zhang Yang to show up.
"The Musée Guit is less than an hour from here. Why hasn’t Kaitō Kid arrived yet?"
Holska had done plenty of prep. He had tracked every artifact that Zhang Yang had returned to the Dragon Nation Embassy.
And he had found answers for all of them.
The facts were right there—those artifacts had made it back to the Dragon Nation.
Though he didn’t look into exactly how they were returned, he was sure it had sothing to do with Kaitō Kid.
Besides, Harrison had even once led a team to guard the Dragon Nation Embassy in Britain.
So Holska figured he’d try his luck waiting outside the embassy, hoping to spot Zhang Yang.
But even after seeing Kaitō Kid’s new post, there was still no sign of him in person.
Zhang Yang had posted photos of the Bronze Gilded Buddha Pagoda and the Ancient Civilization Sapphire he stole.
The last ti he stole two items at once was when he took Daweika’s USB drive—but that was mostly out of curiosity and as a gift for Bruce.
[This sapphire really feels ancient. Kaitō Kid stole two items from the Musée Guit?]
[Oh my god, this is a first!]
[I’ve never seen Kaitō Kid take more than one thing. What did the Enforcent Bureau do to deserve this?]
[Hahaha, Kaitō Kid’s clearly out for revenge on the French Enforcent Bureau. He usually only takes one item per heist!]
[Damn, France is taking a huge hit. If this keeps up, they’ll lose two priceless artifacts a day!]
The comnt section was flooded with mockery toward the French Enforcent Bureau. And after what happened with Jeff and Daweika that night, people were even more critical.
Victor and his team had handled things poorly, especially by blocking people from evacuating. Those two were A-Class fugitives—extrely dangerous no matter where or when.
[Shit! Victor’s an idiot. Letting him go after Kaitō Kid was the Bureau’s worst mistake!]
[Victor let a crowd stand next to two A-Class criminals. That’s just reckless endangernt!]
[Oh my god! I was there in person—I was terrified!]
[If Kaitō Kid hadn’t posted a warning, they probably wouldn’t have even noticed those two fugitives at the museum entrance!]
[Victor is so stupid. If they’d waited for those two to make a move, who knows what could’ve happened?]
The entire comnt section dragged the Enforcent Bureau and Victor.
Not a single comnt defended them.
After seeing Zhang Yang’s post, Holska looked slightly disappointed.
He’d waited all this ti and got a social dia post—but not a glimpse of Kaitō Kid himself.
"Did I guess wrong?"
Holska took a deep breath and kept waiting patiently. What he didn’t know was that Kaitō Kid was parked just around the corner, watching him through the rearview mirror.
Finally, after half an hour, Holska ran out of patience and drove off.
Zhang Yang smirked. If Holska figured out his pattern, things could get tricky fast.
"If Holska’s part of this competition, I should definitely find out more when I get the chance."
It’s easy to dodge a punch you see coming, but the hidden attacks are the real danger.
Right now there was the clever Holska, plus two A-Class fugitives.
There was no way only these three had received invites. More people would be showing up.
The whole world already knew Kaitō Kid was in France. That wasn’t a secret anymore.
"Six hundred million dollars—and they’re even inviting A-Class fugitives?"
Zhang Yang took a deep breath. This so-called contest was starting to feel more complicated than Bruce or Victor.
More than half an hour after Holska left the Dragon Nation Embassy, Zhang Yang finally drove over carefully.
He dropped a cardboard box at the embassy gate, then quickly drove away.
A guard ran out, opened the box, and the second he saw what was inside, his face changed and he bolted back inside.
anwhile, online reports were flooding in. Speculation and gossip were flying as people rushed to grab attention.
Especially with those two A-Class fugitives showing up at the Musée Guit—that pushed the buzz even higher.
[They were discovered by Kaitō Kid! If he hadn’t posted a warning, Victor and the others would’ve missed them entirely!]
[There’s no way Kaitō Kid was working with them. That much is clear!]
[Those two have robbed vaults before. They probably showed up tonight hoping to pick up so scraps during the chaos. They’re capable of anything!]
[This was Kaitō Kid’s first heist in France. The Enforcent Bureau better put soone else in charge—Victor clearly can’t handle it!]
[Heard Holska, the descendant of Sherlock Hols, is in France too. Is he here for Kaitō Kid?]
The online buzz was rising fast, wave after wave of comnts and coverage.
Zhang Yang skimd through it and then his eyes lit up. He decided to dig up a bit on Holska.
If people were ntioning him in the comnts, then he wasn’t just so nobody.
As Sherlock Hols’s descendant, he clearly wasn’t just a regular guy.
Zhang Yang did a quick online search—and found a few things.
"So he’s a private investigator!"
"When I was in Britain, he didn’t make any moves. Otherwise, we would’ve already crossed paths."
Holska occasionally took on private cases. While he wasn’t nearly as sharp as Sherlock Hols, he had earned a bit of a na for himself.
That was all the internet had to offer.
Holska. A descendant of Sherlock Hols. An international private detective.
Not much else.
"He probably isn’t hurting for money. But six hundred million dollars? That’s hard for anyone to turn down."
Private detectives charged high rates, so Zhang Yang figured Holska wasn’t short on cash. But a reward that big? Even soone well-off would be tempted.
