They still couldn’t be sure exactly where Zhang Yang was or what his objective was.
So neither side dared to slack off, which was exactly Zhang Yang’s plan when he led Bruce and the others to the gas station.
This way, their manpower was scattered, and their attention was no longer fully focused on the Rensa Group’s vault.
Now, Zhang Yang’s task had beco much easier.
The Rensa Group no longer had any dia reporters, and even the crowd of onlookers had significantly thinned out.
Everyone assud Zhang Yang was still at the gas station, so the first scene was no longer at the Rensa Group.
"Now, everything is going according to plan. Harrison, I’m on my way!"
Zhang Yang parked his motorcycle at the back corner of the Rensa Group building. It was nearly midnight, and this road was deserted.
Zhang Yang wore a pair of suction cup gloves and matching suction-cup shoes, moving effortlessly up the building’s glass curtain wall like Spider-Man.
He didn’t need to climb too high; he just had to find a concealed spot to cut through the glass and get inside.
At this point, there weren’t many people in the Rensa Group building, so Zhang Yang only climbed to the fifth floor, quickly cut a hole in the glass, and slipped inside.
On the entire floor, there were only two agents on patrol.
Zhang Yang easily bypassed them and sneaked into the stairwell.
anwhile, Harrison was still sitting in front of Bud’s computer, staring intently at the surveillance footage on the screen.
Suddenly, the computer screen went completely black.
And the entire building plunged into darkness.
"Kaitō Kid!"
Harrison almost shouted it out instantly!
Just monts ago, he wasn’t sure where Kaitō Kid was, but now Harrison was confident.
The power outage stunned all the agents, and they imdiately beca alert.
Everyone knew what that ant—Kaitō Kid had entered the building!
Harrison imdiately contacted Bruce, telling him to bring his team back.
After all, the personnel had been sent to the gas station, and the forces inside the Rensa Group building were nothing more than a paper tiger.
"Bruce, the power’s out at the Rensa Group building, I’m guessing it’s Kaitō Kid!"
"Get back here quickly, Kaitō Kid’s target is the Rensa Group’s vault!"
Harrison’s voice was full of excitent. He had guessed it, and now it was confird, filling him with an indescribable sense of accomplishnt.
When Bruce rushed out, Harrison realized sothing was off.
They had been monitoring the surveillance footage, and there were two tigers near the vault, raised by Bud.
Harrison acknowledged that Kaitō Kid was indeed skilled and always struck unexpectedly.
But Harrison didn’t believe Kaitō Kid could silently break into the vault under these circumstances!
So Harrison imdiately decided to leave so people behind at the Rensa Group while the fireworks and Kaitō Kid’s deliberate escape outside were just distractions.
"I’ve finally figured out your plan!"
"Kaitō Kid, I’m finally catching up to you!"
Harrison trembled with excitent. This feeling was unlike anything he’d experienced during any dangerous mission.
He had seen Zhang Yang’s driving skills before. Since Bruce hadn’t been shaken off, Harrison beca even more suspicious.
At the gas station, Bruce had received Harrison’s call, and by this ti, they had already found thirteen dummies.
His emotions were mixed—angry yet excited.
Zhang Yang had placed a total of fifteen dummies at the gas station, and Bruce had already found thirteen of them.
Perhaps even if Harrison hadn’t called, once Bruce found all the dummies, he would have contacted Harrison on his own.
Bruce led the agents and enforcers to retreat, heading straight for the Rensa Group building.
The dia outside and the viewers in the live stream were confused, not understanding what was happening. Bruce had suddenly pulled everyone out.
[What’s going on? Why did Bruce pull everyone out? Is Kaitō Kid not at the gas station?]
[Oh no! Bruce has been toyed with by Kaitō Kid this much, is he going to have a heart attack from the stress?]
[It’s already past midnight, and there’s still no conclusion?]
[Hahaha, hurry up and follow them, let’s see where Bruce is going with his team!]
[The agents and enforcers look exhausted, they’re all panting heavily!]
They had been climbing up and down and dealing with the complex gas pipes, which took a heavy toll on their stamina.
Bruce led the team as the dia vehicles followed closely behind.
As soon as Zhang Yang cut the power, he imdiately started the tir.
"Twenty-five minutes, Bruce should have arrived by then!"
"I need to get away within twenty-five minutes!"
Zhang Yang had specifically tid his return trip.
It took him twenty-seven minutes to cover the route back.
Just to be safe, Zhang Yang added an extra two minutes, anticipating that Bruce’s frustration would make them move faster.
Harrison ordered the agents on the 33rd floor to be on high alert. If they saw anything suspicious, they were to act imdiately.
The most critical part was the vault on the 33rd floor. Harrison went to the secret door of the office and knocked loudly.
Bud, still groggy from sleep, opened the door.
"Director Harrison, is there a problem?"
In contrast to Davis, Bud was fully cooperative with this operation. If anyone else had knocked that loudly while he was sleeping, they would have had their hand chopped off.
Now, Bud was the boss of the Rensa Group, but he was also the leader of the Rensa gang.
"Mr. Bud, haven’t you noticed that the building’s power is out?"
Hearing this, Bud looked around. He had just woken up and hadn’t noticed the blackout.
Harrison continued, "I suspect that Kaitō Kid has already entered the building!"
"So, I’d like to check the vault on the 33rd floor!"
Bud took a deep breath, fully waking up.
This wasn’t the first ti Harrison had brought this up.
Now that the building had lost power, Bud had no choice but to believe Harrison.
He didn’t hesitate or make excuses, nodding in agreent.
However, he did set a condition that Harrison had to comply with.
"Director Harrison, you can go to the vault on the 33rd floor, but you cannot enter it!"
"Also, you must stay inside the elevator; you can’t step outside of it."
"Otherwise, I can’t guarantee your safety!"
The two tigers were only trained by the animal trainers and fed by Bud, so they wouldn’t attack him.
But Harrison was a different story.
Even with Bud present, he couldn’t guarantee that the tigers wouldn’t attack Harrison.
If they did, Bud wasn’t sure if he could stop them.
Harrison agreed without hesitation. As long as he could confirm that Kaitō Kid hadn’t been to the vault on the 33rd floor, many of his doubts would be resolved.
Bud went to get the access card, and together they headed to the 33rd floor.
The Rensa Group’s elevator had backup power. After Bud swiped the card to verify it, he pressed the button for the 33rd floor.
The elevator quickly descended and stopped at the 33rd floor. The doors slowly opened.
In the darkness, two pairs of glowing green eyes flickered, making Harrison’s heart tighten.
