Stephen Johnson was speechless.
The only reason he knew this youngster was because he had previously snagged a coin worth more than two million StellarCoins.
Although the value of the object this ti wasn’t as high as the coin, this deal was even more outrageous, the cost being only 100 StellarCoins.
The minimum profit margin was over a thousand tis.
Saying this guy was the illegitimate son of the goddess of fortune was an understatent.
He was the god of fortune himself!
After a while, Stephen Johnson finally composed himself and said, "Daniel, could I take this liquor pot for study? If its provenance can be confird, the value will multiply."
Daniel, of course, did not refuse.
An object authenticated under the na of the deputy director of the National Museum would gain more trust.
After Stephen Johnson took the jade liquor pot away, Daniel continued to browse a few more stalls in the antique market, but he didn’t find any valuable items.
Just as he was about to leave, he heard a commotion not far away.
Daniel turned around to see a crowd gathering around a stall.
Not knowing what had happened, his interest was piqued and he squeezed into the crowd.
A little girl in the crowd was crying with a red face, and an old man with white hair was standing in front of her, looking anxious.
On the ground, a grey stone was smashed and scattered all around.
Each piece of the fragnt had irregular patterns.
Imagining the original shape of the stone, one could vaguely guess the shape ford by the patterns when they were put together.
It seed like two strange creatures were entangled.
Seeing this, Daniel understood.
It seed that the young girl and the old man had accidentally knocked over the stone, smashing it to this state.
The stall owner was obviously not going to let them off easily.
The chat room was filled with discussions.
"They’re done for, these two are about to be extorted for a lot of money."
"How is that possible? It’s clearly a fake."
"You’re too naive. The pricing in the antique market is up to the owner’s discretion. Whether they can sell it is one thing, but if they encounter a sucker like this, they won’t miss the opportunity."
"That’s too harsh. Do they have to pay whatever the owner demands?"
"Well, who asked you to break their stuff?"
The onlookers at the scene all looked at the helpless grandfather and granddaughter.
So were sympathetic, so pitiful, so were gloating; the crowd had a mix of emotions.
The stall owner glared with bull-like eyes, cursing loudly, "God damn it, my ancient mural slice, you just smashed it like that?"
"This is my family heirloom, soone offered 15 million the other day and I didn’t even want to sell!"
Hearing the stall owner’s words, the little girl wailed out loud.
Even if a four or five-year-old girl wasn’t sensitive to money, hearing such an astronomical figure as 15 million, she knew she had caused a huge disaster.
Although the old man seed helpless, he clearly had experienced many storms in life and quickly adjusted.
Looking at the fragnts on the ground, he doubted, "These things are worth 15 million?"
"Here’s the deal, young man, I’ll give you a thousand, and we’ll call it a day. How’s that?"
The stall owner’s eyes widened even more, yelling at the top of his lungs, "A thousand? Are you kidding ? This slab could buy both your and your granddaughter’s lives! A thousand is not enough!"
The old man calmly replied, "Young man, you better talk to properly, otherwise, I don’t mind sending you to see my mother."
As he spoke, there was a glint of ruthlessness in his eyes.
The surrounding spectators were all startled by the sudden surge of hostility from the old man.
Daniel was also taken aback.
He was just a bit surprised that this seemingly kind and gentle old man was not as simple as he seed.
The stall owner was also stunned by the sudden change, but he thought the old man was just trying to intimidate him and then said, "Old fart, who do you think you’re scaring? Today, if you buy this slab, nothing will happen."
The old man retorted, "What if I don’t buy it?"
The stall owner smirked coldly, "Then you won’t be leaving."
As his words fell, several burly n in the crowd took a step forward, their thug-like appearances evident, surrounding the old man and the little girl.
At this point, the surrounding spectators began to ’kind-heartedly’ persuade, "Young man, there’s no need!"
"You’re just trying to make a living, but if things escalate to a fatal level, you won’t be able to handle it."
"You can see that the old man won’t be able to pull out 15 million, so why don’t you reduce the price a bit and consider it a good deed?"
"The old man, you shouldn’t be so stubborn. After all, their family heirloom was shattered by you. Anybody would feel upset. Try to make up so money to compensate."
"Exactly, if worse cos to worst, sell your house or take a loan. You’ll make it up eventually."
The stall owner seed to be persuaded, "Damn my bad luck, eting you two today."
"Alright, you guys give five hundred thousand, and I’ll consider it my act of charity. Hopefully, God sees my rcy."
From 15 million, the price instantly dropped to 500 thousand.
Anyone with a discerning eye could tell that this stall owner was actually trying to scam them.
At this mont, Daniel revealed an interesting expression.
His eyes were tightly fixed on the fragnts on the ground, shining brilliantly.
After running a system appraisal, he found that these fragnts indeed had a significant background.

At a glance, it was another item worth tens of millions.
Could I really be the illegitimate child of the goddess of luck?
Daniel began to question his own existence.
Twice he’d been to this huge antique city, and twice he’d co away with incredible finds.
He initially thought this was just a scam, but never expected such an astonishing turn of events!
How on earth did he manage to stumble upon it?
It was utterly baffling.
The stall owner was relentless, and the old man equally immovable.
Just as it seed like a fight was about to break out - though clearly, it would be one-sided, with the old man on the receiving end - Daniel stepped forward.
He patted the little girl’s head softly, smiled warmly, and said, "Little miss, stop crying. Your nose will turn red, and that won’t be pretty. Can I help you?"
The girl, her round eyes wet with tears, sniffled and said, "Big brother, you don’t need to help , I can take a hit. But can you help my grandpa? He’s too old to fight."
Daniel couldn’t help but laugh.
This little girl was a tough cookie.
Hearing her words, the old man showed a gratified smile.
He patted the girl’s head, soothing her, "Good girl, Anna. Grandpa won’t let these lowlifes touch him."
The little girl didn’t believe him and kept on crying.
The old man chuckled, then turned to Daniel, saying intriguingly, "Young man, just leave. This old man doesn’t want to trouble you."
Daniel replied, "Old man, I am a man of honor. How could I stand by and let this pack of rabble bully an old man and a little girl?"
At this, the stall owner’s eyes bulged out, "Who the hell are you calling rabble?"
Daniel coolly retorted, "Whoever fits the shoe."
Fuming, the stall owner barked, "There are so who really don’t fear death! Alright, let show you the consequence of ddling in others’ affairs!"
With that, he gave his goons a wave.
The burly n imdiately rushed towards Daniel, fists raised.
The old man warned, "Kid, shouldn’t you run?"
Daniel shrugged nonchalantly, "There’s no need to run in this situation."
His strength was far from average.
With a power ten tis that of an ordinary man, he exploded into action.
He grabbed the nearest fist and twisted, causing a loud crack.
The big man scread in pain, falling to his knees.
Before the other three could react, they found themselves face-to-face with Daniel’s fists.
Three swift punches and they were down, incapacitated.
The stall owner gawked at the sight of his incapacitated n.
Seeing Daniel approaching him, he pulled out a knife from his pocket in a panic, threatening, "Don’t...don’t co any closer! One more step and I’ll stab you!"
The old man narrowed his eyes, reaching subtly for the gun at his waist, ready to intervene.
However, he quickly realized that his concern was unwarranted.
Daniel ignored the knife in the stall owner’s hand, walking straight towards him.
In his panic, the stall owner lunged with the knife, the sharp blade glinting ominously in the sunlight.
But Daniel easily sidestepped the attack, seizing the stall owner’s wrist in a vice-like grip.
With a scream of pain, the stall owner dropped his weapon.
