Daniel furrowed his brows.

With his current level of attack, he could at least match a level 4 Evolver.

Yet, he couldn’t inflict the slightest damage on the long-ard simian monster before him.

At that mont, the figure of the creature started to fade, slowly vanishing before his eyes.

Attack once and disappear.

Was this its attack pattern?

He dispelled the silk thread daggers, grabbed his head with both hands, and forcefully twisted.

Crack!

His head rotated a full 180 degrees, returning to its original position.

Under the influence of the Healing Crystal’s energy, the wounds began to nd themselves automatically.

As long as he wasn’t dealt a fatal blow, the energy of the Healing Crystal could heal him.

His vitality was innately robust; a re broken neck wouldn’t be enough to kill him imdiately.

After recovering, Daniel, with an emotionless face, continued to press forward.

Tap tap... tap tap...

He had only taken a few steps when the footsteps echoed from behind again.

Whoosh!

Almost simultaneously, the silk thread rapidly ford into daggers and he thrust them backward.

Yet, all he heard was a thud, the daggers halted against a rigid object, unable to advance even an inch.

Daniel turned around, his brows deeply furrowed.

Crack!

His neck was snapped once more.

And that long-ard simian monster vanished in an instant.

Is its only thod of attack to snap necks?

A thought flashed across Daniel’s mind.

His vitality was swiftly ebbing away.

Swiftly, he twisted his neck back into place.

Under the power of the Healing Crystal, his vitality quickly rejuvenated.

He pressed onward.

Yet, the footsteps quickly sounded again.

Daniel didn’t pay them any heed and hastened his pace.

Before long, it felt as though sothing clung to his back – an imdiate rush of icy, deathly chill engulfed him.

With attacks proving futile, he decided not to attack at all.

He broke into a run.

However, a piercing pain emanated from his neck, as its core nerve was twisted once more.

His running form wavered back and forth until, stumbling, he fell to the ground.

"Damn it!"

Daniel was growing frustrated.

This creature clearly had cognitive flaws, unable to finish him off, yet it constantly struck.

What was its killing pattern?

Suddenly, a thought flashed through Daniel’s mind.

The head!

Each ti, his neck was twisted, his head rotating a full 180 degrees, and then the creature disappeared.

Could this be related?

Was it the neck or the head?

Once the creature vanished, Daniel clambered up from the ground.

He didn’t bother adjusting his head, instead continuing forward with his head tilted backward and body facing forward, using the Enchanted Eye in his hand to navigate.

After walking about seven or eight ters into the passage, there was no sight of the creature nor the sound of footsteps.

However, he could sense that the creature was lurking in the shadows, waiting for him to turn his head to strike again.

He pressed on, the creature’s presence ever persistent, the feeling of impending doom clinging like a shadow.

Yet the creature showed no intention of attacking, rely trailing closely behind.

Since it didn’t seem inclined to attack, Daniel didn’t consider dealing with it for the ti being.

Its defense was too formidable; there was no point in wasting ti on it.

After navigating the passageway, Daniel entered a burial chamber.

It bore a striking resemblance to the chamber inside the Trojan Pyramid, with only slight variations.

Perhaps these pyramids were crafted by the sa set of artisans.

Stepping inside, the cold murderous intent that had trailed him vanished instantly.

He surmised the long-ard simian monster might only target those within the passageway.

With this in mind, Daniel cautiously tried to adjust his head back to its normal position.

Indeed, the creature didn’t reappear.

The tension that had gripped him eased montarily.

Sweeping his gaze around, Daniel noticed the chamber was nearly barren, save for a coffin placed at its center.

Drawing closer, he observed the coffin lid ajar.

Inside, there were no skeletal remains, only a piece of cloth of an indeterminable material.

He carefully retrieved the cloth and, under the light of a torch, discerned fragnts of inscriptions.

They were in Atlantean script.

"Godfather is the greatest being in this world. I am willing to follow Lord Godfather through thick and thin, facing any peril that cos our way!"

From just this statent, Daniel could deduce the zealous devotion of the writer.

And again, the na ’Godfather’ appeared.

He had learned from Clown that the mastermind behind the Rebirth Corporation was Godfather.

Yet, here in this pyramid filled with creatures, there was a connection to Godfather.

Who exactly was this Godfather?

It eluded his understanding.

Fortunately, the text continued.

"Today, I captured a few humans. Godfather punished severely. I can’t grasp it – Godfather despises humans, so why would he punish for them? I won’t stand for it. I’ll slay every last human!"

...

"Oh my, today I gained a special power. I accidentally crushed a Rank S monster with my grip. It’s terrifying. I must control this power diligently; I can’t risk hurting Lord Godfather inadvertently."

...

"Why can’t the old humans just heed Godfather’s advice and willingly undergo the experints? The new humans are the future; they are destined to rule the world!"

...

"Lord Godfather has finally grown tired of humans. He instructed to capture a large number of them for experints. I don’t get it. I’m rely helping these humans beco stronger. Why do they resist and even threaten to annihilate my entire family? It’s terrifying. I had no choice but to crush them with my fingers. Humans are truly foolish!"

...

"Lord Godfather once again ntioned the Overlord to , describing them as the most perverse entities in this world, and among the most powerful. They operate without any principles, driven solely by their whims. It seems Godfather despises them even more than he does humans. I must redouble my efforts to beco even mightier, and exterminate these creatures for Lord Godfather!"

...

"It’s been a long ti since Lord Godfather visited . I wonder what happened. I miss him dearly. I’ve covered the walls with his sketches, ensuring I never forget his visage."

...

Reading this, Daniel lifted his gaze to survey the surroundings.

Indeed, on the wall directly facing the entrance of the tomb chamber, he found a dense collection of portraits.

Each portrait depicted an adult and a child together.

Perhaps due to the harsh conditions, these so-called portraits were rely blurred figures, their features indiscernible.

Yet, sothing struck Daniel as odd.

From the style of the drawings, the larger figure bore an innocent, childlike smile, while the smaller figure stood tall, sporting black-frad glasses, exuding an aura of mature wisdom.

The proportions and apparent ages of the two figures seed oddly mismatched.

Could the smaller one be a dwarf?

Regardless of who they were, these two individuals undoubtedly represented mysterious and powerful presences.

Continuing to read, he ca across:

"Godfather told he’s found a leader capable of guiding the new humans. I don’t believe it. Godfather once told that I was the finest Evolver he had nurtured. I am the pri choice to be the leader of the new humans!"

"Foretell Future or sothing, I could kill him with a single punch..."

Foretell Future?!

The ntion of these words startled Daniel.

Could it be that Foretell Future truly exists?

Or does this ntion of Foretell Future refer to him?

At this very mont, he felt ensnared by a web of conspiracy, as if a shadowy hand was puppeteering everything from behind the scenes.

Why was he the only one to survive in the pyramid of Atelarxus?

Why was he the one to obtain the Echo Stone?

His very claim of foreseeing the future strangely coincided with the terms ntioned within this pyramid.

Coincidence? Or was there another reason?

Daniel frowned deeply. But soon, he felt sothing amiss.

This piece of fabric had clearly aged for a long ti, spanning at least three to five decades.

Furthermore, being in the pyramid with its power to decelerate decay, it could potentially be even older.

They shouldn’t have known of his existence.

Could it be...

A seer of the unforeseen?

Or, was it all a deliberate orchestration of their making?

A chill ran down Daniel’s spine.

If this were true, the power of this so-called Godfather might have reached unimaginable heights.

Systems, special abilities – just these two alone transcend human manipulation. This was the realm of divine power.

Could Godfather be a god?

Unlikely.

Had Godfather been a god, Rebirth Corporation would have already realized their dream of supplanting old humans with the new.

Evidently, the current world was still dominated by the old humans; no transformation had occurred.

Upon this realization, Daniel began to theorize.

Godfather was imnsely powerful – the re ntion of his na causing the likes of Clown to pale in fear.

Undoubtedly, Godfather’s might was far beyond that of the strongest human Evolver currently known.

He must be at least a level 5 Evolver, if not more formidable.

The true identity of the ntioned [Foretell Future] remained a mystery.

It couldn’t possibly refer to him. After all, his Foretell Future was a ruse; Ti Rewind was the genuine ability.

Monts later, Daniel ceased his rampant speculation. Overthinking wouldn’t help.

As long as his power was unparalleled, he needn’t concern himself with potential plots against him.

In the face of absolute strength, all sches and stratagems crumble.
