Chapter 96: Chapter 31 Public Herb Field

Yun Sheng apparently forgot sothing very important.

That thing was her status as a public student at the Royal Magic Academy.

The so-called public students are equivalent to work-study students in modern terms, attending classes normally during weekdays but co the weekend, sorry, you must serve the academy.

Gu Feng and Qi Ye were also public students. Gu Feng seed to be assisting Teacher i Li, as for Qi, no one has heard about what specifically he does for the academy voluntarily, but he does seem very busy.

No wonder the two of them disappear on weekends.

The content of Yun Sheng’s work-study was to help manage the Public Herb Field of the academy.

The Yujing Magic Academy was established in a valley basin, comfortable throughout all four seasons, and here the public dicinal fields also grew very lush.

The herbs from the Public Herb Field primarily supply the courses of the Magic Potion Departnt and the dical room’s needs; the surplus part is sold externally, with the inco used for the expenses of miscellaneous fees for public students.

Only upon arriving at the Public Herb Field did Yun Sheng realize she thought these so-called dicine fields were, at most, similar in scale to those in Banana Leaf Village, a matter of several acres or dozens of acres.

But when she truly stood in front of the Public Herb Field, she realized how outrageous her mistake was.

Up close, it’s fields.

From a distance, still fields.

Horizontally, fields.

Vertically, sorry, also fields.

Wherever you look, they are all fields.

The dicine fields of the Yujing Magic Academy, they were truly vast.

Yun Sheng coarsely estimated that this Herb Field was at least five to six hundred acres.

Yun Sheng finally understood why the so-called responsible public student for overseeing the Public Herb Field of the Royal Academy’s Magic Potion Departnt had been vacant.

In fact, before Yun Sheng ca, this position had been empty for five long years.

During this period, the public students from the Public Student Dormitory took turns caring for it, and now that a naive person has co, nobody from the dormitory side is willing to co anymore.

She was quickly inford that she has to water all the dicine fields within two days, to prevent the dicinal herbs from withering.

Looking at the vast expanse of the Herb Field, Yun Sheng imdiately felt life was indeed an arduous journey.

As Yun Sheng sighed, she began to take care of the Public Herb Field.

In the shadows, a pair of sneaky eyes was surveilling Yun Sheng.

Soon, the owner of those sneaky eyes returned to the Combat Departnt, and finally slipped into a room marked with the Combat Association.

That person reported in detail about Yun Sheng going to the Public Herb Field to an eleven or twelve-year-old female student.

The female student had a beautiful appearance, wearing a finely crafted Mage Robe, and her Magic Wand was inlaid with two Magic Soul Stones.

An eleven or twelve-year-old Great Mage, this female student was already an Interdiate Student.

As she listened, her Magic Wand still shot out a stream of Magic Elents, casting a magical glow that made her face even more Radiant.

"Senior Sister Song, as per your instructions, I’ve been keeping an eye on that public student nad Yun Sheng. Plus, I’ve already bribed soone among the public students. No one will help her tend to the Public Herb Field," the lookout was a Wind Mage from the Combat Departnt, with a sneaky and timorous appearance.

"That damned public student, acting so high and mighty just because she has the support of Feng Kuo and Teacher i Li, after beating my precious brother into such a state!" The speaker was none other than Song Xiangru, sister of Song Jie, who had been taught a lesson by Yun Sheng not once but twice.

The Song siblings are children of the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry of Great Zhou.

As children, they both were discovered to be sensitive to Magic Elents, thus they were both sent to the Royal Magic Academy.

Among them, the sister, Song Xiangru, possessed more outstanding talents. After six years of enrollnt, she beca an Interdiate Student and passed the Great Mage assessnt at the Magic Temple just last month.

Song Xiangru had only one brother, Song Jie, and their sibling relationship was very close in daily life.

A few days ago, when Song Xiangru learned that not only had Song Jie been fixed up by soone, but his Magic Wand had been destroyed as well, she decided that she wanted to give that unappreciative newbie from the Magic Potion Departnt a good lesson.

However, upon further inquiry, she learned that the new student from the Magic Potion Departnt had no ordinary background; she was not only a mid-term addition, but it was said that she was personally recomnded by Combat Instructor Feng Kuo.

In the Magic Academy, Feng Kuo’s na is known to everyone, and Song Xiangru herself has taken his Magic Combat classes.

The man, burly as a bear, was terrifyingly strong in both Combat Skills and Magic Combat.

He could instantly launch three spells that would pulverize a boulder into dust.

His temper was explosive; not even the teachers of the academy dared to cross him. So when Cang Song learned of Yun Sheng’s background, he turned tail and left.

Thus, Song Xiangru lost her direct chance to take revenge on Yun Sheng.

In the Magic Academy, cross-level fighting was not prohibited, but this was only allowed when low-level students challenged Interdiate Students. Interdiate Students were not permitted to challenge low-level students directly. Otherwise, if discovered by the academy authority, they would be imdiately expelled from the campus.

After much contemplation, Song Xiangru suddenly thought of tampering with Yun Sheng’s status as a public student.

The rules of the Magic Academy were strict, and there were clear regulations for public students: they must maintain good grades in magic courses and complete the work-study tasks assigned by the academy; otherwise, they would be expelled from the academy.

As long as Yun Sheng was expelled from the Royal Magic Academy and slipped out of the eyesight of Feng Kuo and Teacher i Li, Song Xiangru had a thousand ways to make Yun Sheng disappear completely.

Song Xiangru secretly bribed other mbers of the Public Student Dormitory, dumping the responsibility for several hundred acres of dicine fields on Yun Sheng, convinced that Yun Sheng would not be able to water them all within two days.

Not to ntion that Yun Sheng was not a Water Elent Mage at all, even if she were, think how many tis she would have to cast the Cloud Gathering Technique to successfully irrigate so many dicine Fields.

Thinking that once the weekend was over Yun Sheng would be expelled from the Magic Academy, Song Xiangru was overjoyed.

"Ruru, what are you so happy about?" a sweet female voice interrupted the conversation between Song Xiangru and the spy.

A female student in blue walked in. Song Xiangru, who was already considered to be quite attractive, instantly paled in comparison to this blue-dressed woman, like stars dimd by the moonlight.

Upon seeing the woman in blue, a hint of envy flashed across Song Xiangru’s face.

But she quickly concealed her jealousy, not letting Lian Lian notice, and switched to a flattering tone: "Lian Lian, you’re the one who seems overjoyed. Did sothing good happen to make you look so happy?"

The newcor was the Vice President of the Combat Association at the Royal Magic Academy and also the favorite granddaughter of Elder Chen, a First-rank official of the Great Zhou Dynasty, the Water System Great Mage Chen Lian Lian.

"I’ve received a ssage from the Crown Prince; he’s about to return to Yujing," said Chen Lian Lian, her clothes fluttering as if she were a celestial being, her face filled with excitent as she shared the good news with Song Xiangru.
