Chapter 604: Chapter 96: The Sinister Man

The four or five martial artists turned out to be mbers of the "Fengdu Team," veterans in the area around Sky Wing City who made their living there year-round.

All of them had combat skills that were at or around the level of a Marquis, their cultivation was not sothing extraordinary, but this group had a unique trait, they possessed a special type of poisonous combat skills; the fighting spirit they released contained intense poison, and their attacks were equally toxic.

Especially during competitions, they utilized all sorts of despicable tactics to their advantage.

Since the Sky Wings Arena had no explicit rules against using poison or hidden weapons, a lot of martial artists who encountered the Fengdu Team for the first ti inevitably suffered losses.

The veteran participants were also unwilling to openly offend the mbers of "Fengdu."

For this reason, these four or five martial artists acted even more recklessly and beca typical bullies in the Yellow Wing Competition Zone. Their strength wasn’t considered high, but they relied on their numbers to constantly bully newcors.

"Yun Sheng, what should we do?" Donghuang Lingling had never encountered such a situation and was sowhat nervous.

"Don’t be nervous," Yun Sheng was much calr, her eyes quickly scanning the surroundings.

The people from "Fengdu" naturally wouldn’t let slip the opportunity to gain an advantage.

"What are you all doing?" an arrogant voice with a hint of threat ca from the side.

From a corner of the contestant resting area, sitting on a beast skin chair, a mage dressed in a yellowish-grey magic robe stood up.

The man’s cultivation was unclear, around thirty years old, he seed thin and frail like a bookish scholar, but his eyes were sunken and his skin had a yellowish pallor with a hint of green.

Upon seeing this man, Yun Sheng couldn’t help but frown; with his overindulgent appearance, he was probably not much better than the few from Fengdu.

As soon as the man spoke, the previously noisy surroundings imdiately quieted down.

The mbers of "Fengdu" who were tangling with Yun Sheng and Donghuang Lingling saw the newcor and imdiately shrank back like mice who had seen a cat, retreating to the side in fear.

Out of "Fengdu," the eldest-looking mber, who was also the leader of the Fengdu Team—Feng Da—stepped forward.

Feng Da looked at the newcor, then at Yun Sheng and Donghuang Lingling, and understood that this person, just like his five brothers, had taken an interest in Donghuang Lingling and Yun Sheng.

Lately, there hadn’t been many newcors to the Sky Wings Arena, especially young and beautiful female mages and female warriors; they were a rare sight. It seed that the distinguished person was growing impatient waiting.

"Yellow Night Envoy, so these two are the ones you’ve taken an interest in. I apologize, we brothers have truly been blind. We will leave at once. Please, after you," the five brothers dared not gaze at Yun Sheng and Donghuang Lingling any longer and hastily retreated to one side.

Though the brothers were clearly older than the Yellow Night Envoy, they addressed him respectfully.

Unexpectedly rescued, both Yun Sheng and Donghuang Lingling were sowhat astonished.

Yun Sheng noticed that the onlooking contestants showed both awe and fear in their eyes upon seeing the man, but from his attire, he was not one of the Sky Wings Arena’s own.

It appeared that the male mage had a special identity.

Yun Sheng also took note that he did not wear any badge of the Yellow Wing contestants; evidently, he was not a participant from this competition zone.

The Yellow Night Envoy spoke arrogantly.

His narrow eyes occasionally swept over the masks of Yun Sheng and Donghuang Lingling, and his sharp nose caught a faint scent of youthful female, a wicked glint flashing across his eyes.

These two female mages were still fledglings.

Good rchandise, top-notch good rchandise.

This Yellow Night Envoy was a frequent figure in the Yellow Wing Competition Zone.

He recognized everyone in the competition zone and paid special attention whenever there were newcors.

When the two female contestants entered, even though they were wearing hideous Yaksha masks, their temperant and the youthful white skin exposed beyond the masks imdiately attracted him.

He was already eagerly imagining the feeling of holding these two fledglings in his arms.

Donghuang Lingling, inexperienced in the ways of the world, did not guard against the Yellow Night Envoy as he stepped in to help the two of them.

Yun Sheng, however, keenly noticed the scent of dicinal herbs on the man.

The other was either a Doctor or a Pharmacist.

Judging by the attitude of the Fengdu Team just now, this person was likely...

Yun Sheng’s guess was confird the next second.

"May I know your nas? I’m the Yellow Night Envoy in charge of the Yellow Wing Competition Zone. Here is a small welco gift, please don’t take it as an offense," said the Yellow Night Envoy, handing over two elixirs to Yun Sheng and Donghuang Lingling.

"We cannot accept this without rit, ’Yan’ here and ’Huang’ there, we are both newcors to Sky Wing City," Yun Sheng and Donghuang Lingling both refused the offer without taking the dicine.

It was the first ti soone declined his welco gift, leaving the Yellow Night Envoy sowhat disheartened.

But he soon smiled and said, "Candidate Yan and Huang Athlete, you must have heard of the Dark Night Pavilion. I represent the Dark Night Envoy stationed here."

As if worried that Yun Sheng and Donghuang Lingling were unaware of what Dark Night Pavilion was, the Yellow Night Envoy went on to introduce it incessantly.

In the words of the Yellow Night Envoy, the Dark Night Pavilion was the largest dical establishnt in Sky Wing City.

The Dark Night Pavilion was different from traditional dical establishnts.

It was inclusive and comprehensive, not only selling elixirs related to Ancient dical Skill but also a large variety of Magic Potions. The Dark Night Pavilion also controlled the sale of dicinal herbs throughout Sky Wing City.

Therefore, both Martial Artists and Mages could obtain the best dicine and treatnt here.

He fully expected Yun Sheng and Donghuang Lingling to show admiration after hearing this, but what he didn’t know was that both were gritting their teeth in anger.

Especially Donghuang Lingling, who really wanted to punch the Yellow Night Envoy into a pig’s head.

"Respected female Mages, I wonder if you are interested in joining the Dark Night Pavilion," said the man known as the Yellow Night Envoy, obviously oblivious to the won’s fury, looking at them with anticipation, waiting for their response.

Very few could resist the temptation of the Dark Night Pavilion, especially these naive newcors, pure as lambs.

The people from Dark Night Pavilion, indeed it’s a small world full of adversaries!

As soon as Yun Sheng and Donghuang Lingling heard Dark Night Pavilion, particularly Donghuang Lingling, they felt like exploding, but Yun Sheng pulled her back in ti.

Yun Sheng secretly signaled Donghuang Lingling with a hand gesture.

Even though there was only one person now, who knew whether any of the contestants were from the Dark Night Pavilion.

Luckily, Donghuang Lingling was wearing a mask, so her odd behavior was unnoticed by the Male Mage.

"Sorry, we are not very familiar with the Dark Night Pavilion. Perhaps after so ti, we will consider whether to join the Dark Night Pavilion or not," Yun Sheng replied with a forced smile.

"There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s normal for you to be unfamiliar with the Dark Night Pavilion since you are new here. But if you plan to stay in Sky Wing City long term, you’ll inevitably have to cooperate with the Dark Night Pavilion because apart from controlling all the elixirs and Magic Potions in Sky Wing City, the Dark Night Pavilion also boasts a large number of Light Elent Mages specialized in Magic Healing and Water Mages who can detoxify," bragged the Mage triumphantly.
