Chapter 126: Chapter 61: Defying Authority

The departntal assembly of the Royal Magic Academy is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the year at the academy.

On the day of the assembly, not only must all the students of the Royal Magic Academy return to school, but the Combat Departnt and Magic Potion Departnt also publically showcase the achievents of the past year in magic combat and magic potion developnt.

The Magic dicine Association and the Combat Association were well-prepared for this demonstration day.

The students used small magic to tidy up their academy uniforms ticulously, even Qi was scolded by Master i Li into changing into a new green magic cloak.

After breakfast, the three mbers of Magic Potion Group Thirteen gathered in the square, where the results of the theoretical and practical exams from the past two days had been announced.

Gu Feng, sweating profusely, squeezed into the crowd and shouted joyfully after seeing the results, "Yun Sheng, your basic Magic Potion course ranked first in the Magic Potion Departnt, Basic Magic Introduction also made it into the top ten, Magic Combat practice ranked in the top twenty, and your overall result in both departnts is third."

Although Cang Song served as the examiner for the Magic Combat practice course, the other examiner was Feng Kuo.

So even if Cang Song reluctantly gave Yun Sheng the lowest score, with a stroke of his pen, Feng Kuo raised it.

When Cang Song expressed dissatisfaction, Feng Kuo glared fiercely and roared, "I’m indeed biased, what about it? Or do you want to challenge

to a match?"

Cang Song was yelled at without any temper, simply staring blankly as he dared not directly confront Feng Kuo.

The students of Combat Departnt felt toothache from the spectacle, while those from Magic Potion Departnt reveled in their misfortune.

For the three mbers of Magic Potion Group Thirteen, the results this ti were not bad. Qi’s basic Magic Potion course was average, but his performance in the Magic Combat practice course didn’t leave Cang Song any grounds for criticism, and he ranked thirteenth overall. Even Gu Feng, who usually lagged behind, scored fifty-first across the two departnts.

Magic Potion Group Thirteen finally shed their long-standing reputation as the last.

Master i Li’s face blood with a smile like a flower.

Around nine in the morning, the last item of the Royal Magic Academy’s final exams, the departntal assembly, began on the academy’s square.

Each major departnt of the academy, led by their respective instructors, presented the achievents of the past school year in a format similar to a work summary and academic report.

In her previous life, when Yun Sheng studied at the dical University, what she disliked the most was such assembly-like etings. Furthermore, she had been busy these days concocting the Moon God’s Praise and had barely slept, so after not listening for long, she inadvertently entered a state of ditation.

This ditation unexpectedly brought great trouble to Yun Sheng.

She did not hear clearly what the two instructors said.

Only when Gu Feng nudged her did Yun Sheng wake up, only to find that everyone around her was kneeling on the ground, except for her standing upright.

Hundreds of eyes on the square stared at her.

On the stage ahead, the instructors of the Magic Academy, including Master i Li and Master Feng Kuo, all looked at her with concern.

Several pairs of mocking eyes glanced over.

On the stage, a boy stood out like a crane amongst chickens. Upon seeing the youth, Yun Sheng felt a sense of déjà vu. He appeared to be about ten, dressed in an apricot-yellow robe with golden four-clawed dragon patterns on it, and although his features were handso, those eyes carried a hint of sinister aura, which Yun Sheng found displeasing.

Standing next to the boy was Chen Lianlian, who bore an air of peacock-like deanor.

Yun Sheng was pondering in her heart, why did this person look sowhat familiar, where exactly had she seen him before.

"How daring, to not kneel upon seeing the Crown Prince," Chen Lianlian and others took the opportunity to scold from the side.

It turned out that after two instructors had finished reporting, Crown Prince Ye Beilian of Great Zhou, who had been away from the city for many days and only returned half a month ago, hurried over.

As soon as Ye Beilian returned to the academy, he listened as Chen Lianlian and others exaggerated and twisted a set of gossip.

As the president of the Magic Fighting Association, Ye Beilian had always looked down on the Magic Potion Departnt and had long entertained the idea of abolishing it.

Today, seeing a re beginner student from the Magic Potion Departnt daring to openly doze off during his speech, he couldn’t help but be furious.

Seeing people from the Combat Departnt eyeing her with eager anticipation, Yun Sheng then rembered that she was considered an ancient person here, but since arriving at the Wuji Continent, she had never really perford the proper salutations.

As a modern person, she could kneel before heaven and earth, her parents, and elders, but kneeling before a prince who clearly was no good person, she was utterly reluctant from the bottom of her heart.

Just as Yun Sheng was pondering whether to stand up and risk committing a grave disrespect, she heard a school guard hurry over.

The school guard said in haste: "Reporting to the Crown Prince, reporting to the dean, the Vice Hall Director of Wuxuan Wuji Hall, Lord Qi Tian, has brought over ten martial artists and is requesting to see us outside the school, saying they have co to observe the final assessnts of the Magic Academy."

Upon hearing this, both Crown Prince Ye Beilian and the dean of the Magic Academy had solemn expressions.

It is well known that although magic and martial combat do not interfere with each other, ever since the establishnt of the Royal Magic Academy, especially after Crown Prince Ye Beilian enrolled, it has, under various pretenses, garnered various resources for the Royal Magic Academy.

Wuxuan Wuji Hall, which has always been a prominent presence in Great Zhou like the North Star among mountains, has quite the objections to this, and has always been at odds with the Royal Magic Academy, competing in various occasions.

This ti, the Royal Magic Academy’s final assessnt did not invite people from Wuji Xuan Yuan Hall, thus their sudden appearance clearly indicated hostile intentions.

Seeing this scene, Crown Prince Ye Beilian, who initially wanted to flare up, restrained his anger and put on a dignified face.

"Dispense with the formalities, the Royal Magic Academy is my alma mater, we need not bother with these tedious protocol. Since the academy has distinguished guests, I as a mber of the academy, should naturally host them with the etiquette of a host," Ye Beilian waved his hand.

Chen Lianlian and the others beside him gave Yun Sheng a fierce glare.

Hearing Ye Beilian’s pretentious tone, Yun Sheng sneered inside, but this also conveniently saved her the effort of kneeling.

Suddenly, Yun Sheng recalled why she felt Ye Beilian looked sowhat familiar.

The na of the Crown Prince of Dazhou was Ye Beilian, and his facial features bore so resemblance to Ye Huli.

But that was rely a resemblance; when comparing the two, Ye Huli was far superior in both temperant and appearance, making this Crown Prince look like a poorly made inferior product.

Although Ye Huli had never talked about his identity, from his behavior, it was not hard to guess his distinguished background, but Yun Sheng had not expected that he was a mber of the Great Zhou Imperial Family.

Thinking of Ye Huli, Yun Sheng couldn’t help but wonder in her heart if that stubborn guy had already recovered.

While Yun Sheng was lost in her wild thoughts, on the other side, the dean of the Royal Magic Academy had already gone out to welco the people from Wuxuan Wuji Hall.
