Chapter 1112: Chapter 265: Out of Money

One hundred soul stones of Ninth-level Demon Beasts? How much is that worth?

Could it be that the Netherworld doesn’t use gold coins for transactions?

Yun Sheng suddenly realized a problem, and that is, the currency issue in the Netherworld.

She prepared everything before the journey, except money for the Netherworld...

"Bo Bo, is it possible that the Netherworld uses soul stones for transactions?" Yun Sheng asked Bo Bo the Bo Bo sheep softly.

"Hmm... isn’t the Netherworld using joss paper?" Bo Bo sheep stamred, unable to give a definitive answer.

Yun Sheng rubbed her temples; she was indeed silly. Bo Bo the Bo Bo sheep was an idle Realm God who was unacquainted with human affairs. In the Human World, it only recognized gold coins as currency, let alone the Netherworld.

Realm Gods need money? No need.

In the Human World, Yun Sheng was at least a person as wealthy as a nation. Since she left Banana Leaf Village, she hadn’t felt the sting of poverty for a long ti.

Unexpectedly, upon arriving in the Netherworld, she suddenly beca penniless.

Yun Sheng didn’t have many soul stones on her. On the Wuji Continent, soul stones had a few uses—either for refining magic wands or for embedding into magic tools.

Being a Summoner, the other use of soul stones was to feed Demon Beasts.

In the past, Yun Sheng either used soul stones to refine magic wands, leaving her with very few soul stones; at most not exceeding fifty.

These people demanded one hundred soul stones right off the bat, and they had to be Ninth-level Demon Beast soul stones. Even if she genuinely wanted to travel with people from the Wanyan Sect, she couldn’t afford it.

Yun Sheng then realized an even more serious problem: she intended to go to the Divine Power Pavilion. What if the other side also traded in soul stones? Where would she get so many soul stones?

It seems she could only pray to encounter more Demon Beasts or Demon Plants in the Wei Wu Forest to earn more soul stones.

If those from the Wanyan Sect knew Yun Sheng’s thoughts, they would surely be scared out of their wits.

Everyone crossing Wei Wu Forest hoped to avoid encountering Demon Beasts or Demon Plants as much as possible, but here this "light punishnt criminal," weak as she appeared, wanted to encounter more of them?

Yun Sheng could only sigh silently, and as she turned to respond, she noticed Ci Hu was sneakily eyeing her legs and chest.

If fighting was allowed near the East Wei Gate, she’d definitely use a Dark Sky Thorn to smash these people to bits.

"Thanks for the warning, brother, but I’m used to acting alone, so I can only thank you for your kindness. I’ve decided to head to Wei Wu Forest alone," Yun Sheng resolutely refused Ci Hu’s invitation.

Seeing Yun Sheng openly refuse him, Ci Hu’s smile froze on his face.

"You think you alone can cross the Wei Wu Forest? You’re shaless," Ci Hu flared up as soon as he heard, though he was wary of the Skull Soldiers from East Wei Gate watching.

Mindful of the Skull Soldiers, Ci Hu dared not openly react, secretly cursing: "Ignorant woman. Let’s see how long you can hold out. Once in Wei Wu Forest, we’ll show you what’s what."

Suppressing his displeasure, Ci Hu stord off.

Yun Sheng no longer paid any attention and headed straight toward the road leading to Wei Wu Forest.

About half an hour later, Yun Sheng could no longer see the East Wei Gate.

Yun Sheng had entered the range of Wei Wu Forest, ahead was a lush forest.

Upon entering the forest, Yun Sheng realized why so many would pay high prices to have the Wanyan Sect accompany them—the Wei Wu Forest in the Netherworld was no simple matter.

The Netherworld differed from the Human World, with perpetual chilling winds, and the plants here never saw sunlight due to the influence of Yin Sha energy. Most plants here mutated.

Many plants have been demonized, surviving by devouring Demon Beasts and passing travelers. Therefore, the soil and plants here are all red.

Throughout the forest, broken human and Demon Beast bones were visible everywhere.

A gust of chilling wind blew through, filling the air with the nauseating stench of rotten corpses.

Yun Sheng could only take an elixir to detoxify herself from the foul air as she journeyed on.

Not long after Yun Sheng entered Wei Wu Forest, a flash of caution crossed her mind. Suddenly, fierce dark shadows shot out from the nearby bushes.

An ambush!

Having honed her enemy-handling skills through many arena battles and hunts, Yun Sheng didn’t even draw her magic wand.

Swiftly stepping aside, she unleashed several fireballs.

The fireballs enveloped the shadows; in just a mont, the shadows were charred black and fell to the ground, broken into pieces.

Upon closer inspection, Yun Sheng discovered that the assailants were vines, unlike ordinary plant vines; these vines growing in Wei Wu Forest had small openings all over them.

These tiny openings were like Demon Beast mouths, filled with sharp teeth inside.

"Bo Bo, it’s the Dark Magic Plant at-eating Vine! Master, run quickly!" Bo Bo the Bo Bo sheep shrank into Yun Sheng’s collar and refused to co out after entering Wei Wu Forest.

The sll in the forest nearly made it puke.

Once Yun Sheng got rid of the vines, Bo Bo sheep poked its head out. Upon seeing the chopped-up vines, Bo Bo shivered and urged Yun Sheng to hurry.

"Run?" Yun Sheng hadn’t reacted yet.

Suddenly behind her ca a rustling sound, and hundreds of vines sprang out from the forest, each vine resembling a snake about ten ters long, carrying strong gusts of wind as they attacked Yun Sheng.

"Bo Bo, dear Master, once these things die, they emit a scent that attracts companions."

"You could have said that earlier," Yun Sheng bemoaned. As evidence, Bo Bo sheep’s warning ca too late. She couldn’t even consider fusion—in a matter of instant teleportation, she dodged the vines’ assault and fled deeper into the forest.

At the edge of Wei Wu Forest, a mber of the Wanyan Sect responsible for monitoring Yun Sheng leapt beside Ci Hu, whispering in his ear.

Having learned that Yun Sheng was being chased by at-eating vines, Ci Hu showed a schadenfreude smile, "I told you, that woman alone couldn’t possibly cross this forest. You few, act tonight—deal with these novices cleanly, then chase that woman."

After running away for a while, Yun Sheng was still relentlessly pursued by those at-eating vines.

"Damn, what the heck is this thing? Is it going to be endless? I have to figure out a way," Yun Sheng said as she stopped beside a tree, her dark eyes flaring with anger. As she strategized, several at-eating vines were closing in.

Wham—

A sudden blade flash sliced upward from beneath the tree, lightning-fast, as one after another targeted the pursuing at-eating vines.

Then tens of cold arrows whooshed out from the forest and struck them.

In the blink of an eye, those at-eating vines pursuing Yun Sheng were completely cut down.

Strangely, the slain vines, attacked by knife and arrows, didn’t attract more at-eating vines.

The forest temporarily fell quiet.

A voice ca from under the tree, "Friend up in the tree, you can co down now. It’s safe here for now."
